Happy Lunar New Year!!! 🧧🌟 It’s Crystal’s year coz she’s a Chinese dragon 😁 (yes she has wings usually, she likes the look of them 🙄 but she’s an eastern dragon technically. Species wise.)

This color scheme was made specifically for New Years lol I’ll have her original color palette in the next post 😙 Last year was Year of the Rabbit, so it’s kinda a symbolic “passing of the <New Years Pearl>” thingy I was thinking of. Considering, I’d been wanting to make a piece featuring Crystal somehow for new years but this was like the third iteration of ideas 🤣😭 also, that rabbit is not a normal everyday rabbit, it’s got an important minor role in my webtoons series (and Crystal - and Nocturne! - both don’t like the bun for reasons lol) 😇

It's 설날! To my Korean family and friends, please eat lots of 떡국, play 윷놀이, and don't forget 세배 with the bonus of 용돈.

Also don't ever forget that we were forced to stop celebrating our traditions and holidays under occupation. It was only until the 1950s that this became a national holiday for us again. Never ever let anyone take away your heritage and culture ever again. Always fight against occupation and erasure.

To non Korean people, educate yourself. Also you owe me 용돈 (pocket money) for your ignorance and taking my cultural into some kind of consumable item. Buy something from my wish list or Etsy!

새해 복 많이 받으세요 // happy lunar new year!!! have some korean noel/the choir celebrating lny hcs!!

noel reluctantly invites the choir to his house to celebrate after much persuasion from his mom who loves all the members

she makes them all tteokguk and ocean picks out all the gim

noels mom always makes him do sebae and even though they dont have much she always gives him a nice amount

the members who celebrate all wear red and noel paints his nails red too

mischa thinks the dragon themes are super cool and badass

noels mom has subconsciously adopted the lambs due to them being korean as well (they are argue w the wall) and she gives them little sebae gifts too

ezra bows really big and performance-y and also speaks korean with the strongest monotone english accent
