Goodbye Splatoon 1
I knew that stupid "You're a kid now you're a squid now" song would change everything for me. Ever since the announcement of Splatoon I was hooked. A shooter game where the characters are silly squids who speak gibberish with FRESH fashion? It was made for me.
Then they gave us the Splatoon Research lab Squid Sisters video. I knew from then I would cosplay Callie forever.
I have spent so much time on my Callie. Every iteration has an improvement to it. Every time I wore her I made sure something was better. It all led up to my Octo Callie win back in 2019.
This game came out during a very low period in my life. In fact, I got someone to buy it for me because they were the only person I knew at university who owned a WiiU. I didn't even like this person. In fact, this person has done unspeakable things to me. But they had Splatoon and this squid game kept me going.
I love love love love love Splatoon. There is literally nothing, NOTHING that comes close to my love for Splatoon.
So let's wave goodbye and look to the future!

Also don't ever forget that we were forced to stop celebrating our traditions and holidays under occupation. It was only until the 1950s that this became a national holiday for us again. Never ever let anyone take away your heritage and culture ever again. Always fight against occupation and erasure.
To non Korean people, educate yourself. Also you owe me 용돈 (pocket money) for your ignorance and taking my cultural into some kind of consumable item. Buy something from my wish list or Etsy!

2023 was an interesting year. Doing this made me realize how much I've done but at the same time I feel like I did nothing.
A lot of the cosplays are old ones with new upgrades or little do dats. I wish I did something new and hopefully next year I can.
I gave myself two year long projects. The seasons makeup and bun of the month. It gave me something interesting to do throughout the year and I've had a lot of fun thinking of different bun variations and seasonal looks.
The Ren Faire was good fun as usual and being able to make my little faire outfits filled my summer.
Hopefully 2024 I can make something new
