(there will still be a post tomorrow to keep on track)#The original 3 panel comic idea was fine but the point of this new schedule was to take time to push myself a bit more.#I was taking a look back through some comic artists I felt inspired by#and I really loved how Lynda Barry fills her gutters with patterns and doodles!#Obviously I'm not going as absolutely wild with it as she does but it was a great exercise!#I truly think the gutters are the most important and most overlooked part of any comic. There's lots going on in that space.#It's the same with timeskips. The implied movement between moments that we don't see changes depending on how wide that gap is#You're here for the funny tags so here's some that ties this time talk together:#I think LWJ was thinking about that second note from day 2 but it took him 7 days of hazing to commit it to paper.#I think he sends it a day later and immediately regrets it. Chasing down the messenger and everything.#You know if something actually happened to his brother he would never ever forgive himself for putting the bad vibes out there.#Third time skip was the hardest because there was so many possible flavours of jokes here. Day 8/9 was a personal favourite.#day 14 was also funny (week by week). I think the debate on 'how long does lwj take to catch feelings' is more or less:#'how long does it take for him to arrive at a particular stage of grief and yearning (and awareness of it all)#This is a symphony. There is an act by act structure. Every day he is fighting to keep his old sensibilities. He is losing so badly.#(I'll be returning to the main comic soon but there is more of this AU to come!)

The manor is fine. It’s held up against the snow after the repairs, and there was minor damage, really. None of your things were ruined, and Mother’s room remains in the same state. As for my own bedroom—a little water damage means little. All the important things are downstairs, after all. We did find an unused corner of the wine cellar, though—sold off the really fine stuff after I let the others peruse it for their choices. I’ve plenty of ideas for what to do with the money.
I suppose there is one thing that I needed that you should Flames, I’ll just say it. Fenris and I are together. For good this time.
I am not seeking your approval. I know what you’re going to say. I know how many letters I sent you three years ago, and I know how much of a mess I was then. But—stop making that face right now—this is different.
I’m not looking for your approval. But—I would like to have it anyway, Carver. You’re my only family left except for—Andraste’s elbow, I haven’t told you—Gamlen and his daughter. Selflessness didn’t save Bethany, and it didn’t save Mother either. I can carry them with me forever, along with the whole of Kirkwall, or I can live. I know now that I can’t do both.

my grandma does so much stuff to piss me off and i feel like i can't vent to anybody else in the family about it bc it sours them on her and makes them less likely to help her so then it always all comes down to me when she needs help so she's just getting more and more isolated, and weird in her interactions with me. and the cycle repeats again.
#i'm driving her to an appointment tomorrow because no one else will (2 hours one-way)#and she just tacked on going and visiting with someone afterwards which will add on a minimum of an hour#plus i honestly don't want to see that person again. she reminds me of my dead mom bc my dead mom is our connection to her.#and i hate driving generally. like my bi-monthly drive to go get groceries from the walmart 5 towns over stresses me tf out every time#and i know for a fact i can drive 30 minutes further for even cheaper groceries but i can't do it because it's such a stress#so i told my grandmother there's just no way and there's got to be an alternative#and she got really really upset so i said you need to find someone else to take you to visit her on a different day#and if you can't find anyone else then i'll take you if it comes down to it#but tomorrow is not going to become a 10 hour day no way no how#and she got so upset she said she had to go lie down 😑#sorry you didn't get your way. i am allowed opinions and autonomy.#even if they interfere with what you want to do.#adam talks too much

I hate to admit it but ensemble stars training has genuinely improved my life and it's only been 3 days. Well maybe things were gonna get good anyway but id like to think it's because of the app
#i had a good 2 hour talk with my best friend of 11 years that i talk to maybe a few times a year#made plans to go see a drag show in december/january when i come back home#heard some gossip helped her fill in job applications#then im getting culturally enriched by movies all weekend#i made a new friend in class! and we hanged out for 3 hours one day#maybe you do need to be a bit mentally ill to get mentally well. and if i can say Working Out With Wataru Has Started A Streak Of Positive#Things In My Life. then. thats great#roommate is having a friend over tonight so tomorrow we're allll gonna try to work out in my teeeny tiny room. we'll see...
