Watched the UN Security Council votes earlier and English failed me. Didn't even realise I started cursing in my mother tongue until my coworker asked me what happened.

If I feel this way I honestly can't imagine what Palestinians everywhere, but especially in Gaza, are feeling. The anger, the frustration, the despair...while the leaders of the 'free world' continue to facilitate these atrocities.

We can’t go on like this. Between oligarchs directly squeezing employees to their Republican puppets cutting and blocking aid were on the precipice of a catastrophe. Possibly more than half the population could be broke, without insurance, and homeless in a few years.

Quebec farmers are speaking out about what they’re calling an unprecedented and disastrous season. They say the massive amounts of rain they’ve received have been drowning their crops, and that the weather has been costing them millions.

Farm owners are calling on the Quebec government to offer them more support as they face the effects of climate change head-on.

“We lost hundreds of acres of broccoli. It’s completely destroyed,” said Julien Cousineau, operations director at Les Jardins Paul Cousineau, a large-scale vegetable farm in Saint-Constant, Que.

He showed Global News videos of fields annihilated by a hail storm Thursday night. Cousineau’s family has been farming for three generations, and he says they have never experienced weather this bad for business.

“In 50 years of farming, we have never seen that much rain,” he said.

[The security cam is pointed downward, filming a vacant hallway on the third floor]

[Inch by inch some movement is seen. Shadows approach]

[General Sephiroth appears, struggling as he drags Commander Rhapsodos by the arms—the latter who appears unconscious…Almost…Dead?]

[Then in comes Commander Hewley, who rushes to help him by grabbing Genesis’s legs. The two men begin hauling the sleeping red SOLDIER down the hallway. It appears like they’re arguing in the process]

[Sephiroth suddenly looks into the security camera, face showing a minuscule microexpression of panic. He then lets go of Genesis’s arms at once. Genesis hits his head on the ground, upper body twisting into an unnatural position. Angeal is seen screaming at Sephiroth while the General reaches into his coat, pulling out a piece of paper]

[Sephiroth holds it up to the camera. It reads: NOT MURDER. WE CAST SLEEP TO SEDATE HIM. TAKING HIM TO DENTIST]

[Sephiroth proceeds to neatly fold the paper back up, stuff it in his pocket and grab Genesis’s arms again. They haul him away off-frame]

[The video ends]

I hate how when I come out to other people as aromantic I'm so often met with a version of "don't you think you'll find the one?" and them telling me that I should be open minded and not rule out dating completely.

Like, why do they feel like they need to tell me that? Those words just revive all my doubts that I shouldn't call myself aro and that I'm not "valid" as aromantic. Do they not understand that it took a lot of courage to tell them this personal thing about myself and that them immediately questioning what I've said won't make me feel better?!

It took me over a year of soul-searching to gain the confidence to use this word to describe myself and my experiences, and their first reaction to me letting them in on this knowledge is that I have to be wrong and that it's not okay for me to call myself that.

I literally would have been fine if they just said, "okay, cool."

I hate that aromanticism is still seen as something so negative that people's first reaction to a coming out as aromantic is to console the person coming out (by invalidating them).
