1. Cecil is a super straight white man with “super cool” magical powers who gets married to the first woman to show up in the show. He was abandoned by his father and spends all his time angsting about it.

2. Instead of being a counterpart to Cecil, Kevin is his brother. His bastard brother. The fact that he is a bastard is brought up as much as possible, and anything bad he did in the original is chalked up to daddy issues here.

3. Charles (thats DB carlos versions name right?) has a thing in one episode where he falls in love with Kevin, but someone who “knows better” tells him it’s just a phase. Eventually he gets married off to a woman who’s basically just a female clone of him, and has a son that’s also just a clone of him. His thing for Kevin is never brought up again until after he dies and Kevin (who’s also been married off to a woman who’s basically a clone of himself and had a daughter that’s also just a clone of himself) says he always loved Charles. Also their kids who are basically clones of them except one’s a boy and one’s a girl, get married.

4. Tamika Flynn is turned into a helpless waif with pretty pink bows and dresses who can’t do anything for herself.

5. Carlos is very catholic. Whenever he gets in danger he just prays to God, and he’s rescued.

6. Gay marriage is legalized, and Nightvale is subsequently destroyed via an earthquake which is explained as the judgement of God.

the newest adaption of the smurfs is making my brainy kinnie self super happy!! like ok so basically almost all previous adaptions have had me have weirdly forced romantic moments with smurfette like all the other smurfs do, but also the cartoon did have me kiss a guy and moments with guys seem a lot more natural. anyways the newest adaption has me hanging out with smurfette completely platonically with no hints of any romance tease, and then also has another guy kiss me (not a guy i was into but yknow) and we’re only eight episodes in. i was gay in my canon so this makes me super happy. also sorry for the long ask mod party cat but im brainy smurf so talking for a super long time is kind of inevitable.

A double sent in a kinfession and I had to check and double-check (ehehe... “double” check... i am hilarious sometimes.) that I wasn’t the one who sent it. But, no, I kinfirmed ages ago, back when I first got into the source, and this person seems to have just kinfirmed.

So, to the other Brainy Smurf- one, I totally understand the feeling that you might be annoying people by talking too much but also not being able to stop talking. Two, I wish you luck and hope you feel better about things soon!

i run a server for a source i kin from and it’s really funny because basically every time my kin or his best friend gets brought up i end up going full kin-mode and everyone simultaneously understands and does not understand. someone was posting about an episode and i responded to them in a way normally for my current self and they were like “lol basically [character i kin] rn” and it’s free kin validation

i used to send asks here anonymously with a custom tag but then my brainy kinnie ego took over and i had to be known. its real smurf hours 24/7.

just pmd partner things- referring to the character you kin by the species you were bc you forget they dont have a canon species. (its a partner thing and not a hero thing bc heroes, being former humans, probably remember having names and can just be specific when referring to themselves)

Brainy Smurf from The Smurfs here, usually when I send in confessions I try to keep them vague, because Brainy is a really obscure kin, so if I mention who I am I might as well be off anon (as I am here). But The Smurfs, and smurf lore, is so specific that even just not mentioning who I am, not saying any names, even that doesn’t hide who I am. So I have to make things even more vague, at the cost of accuracy to what my situation actually was. I wish I could make it clearer, but sometimes I don’t want to be recognized.
