He takes both of her blessed hands in his, bringing them up to his lips and reveling in the sound her laughter that occupies the entire apartment. "Does that mean you like it?" her hands are cold, but their home is warm. He kisses them again. "What are you doing?" "Let me have this, Annabeth," he mumbles into her fingers. "I'm kissing your hands. They mean the world to me." "My hands?" Annabeth wriggles his fingers, tickling his jaw. "What'd my hands do to deserve such affection?" "They work so hard." Percy pulls at her hands until she steps close enough into him that he can press a kiss to her hairline. "They made me a place to rest my head."

14. that one thing you see in fics all the time

-- I like reading Haikyuu fics where people love Hinata, I think they can be fun and cute and just nice to read! But I feel like, when writers aren't careful about it, they wind up severely infantilizing Hinata and that's just icky to me

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

-- A Sk8 the Infinity thing, but I need people to stop memeing Cherry calling Joe a gorilla like...that's a darker skinned man, there's no way people aren't seeing the (racist and colourist) implications of this like...enough

21. part of canon you think is overhyped

-- Light Yagami's "genius" tbh. Yes he is incredibly smart but he also make painfully stupid decisions and that's also kind of the point of Death Note

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

-- I've talked about this before, but I'm tired of the Haikyuu franchise (and the fans by extension) pretending that Hinata only started improving his receives during the Miyagi training camp arc and that he was just not doing anything else before than. If you pay attention throughout the show, you'll notice that he improves his receives slightly and becomes more on a similar level as the rest of Karasuno (which is to say, slightly more consistent; in fact, the only truly consistent ones are Nishinoya and Daichi)

breaking this essay down by how many words do i need to write in an hour has been so beneficial. when i have shit hours i adjust and write more and when i have good hours i can adjust and get hope. I went from 250 words an hour to finish it to 100 words an hour and i couldnt be more chuffed with myself.
