hey, so i saw this post by @/palipunk [tumblr link] about a gofundme campaign to help someone evacuate gaza right now, with a tweet where the organizers are asking for only 250 people to each donate €100 to help reach the goal. i have almost exactly that and thought to become one of the 250 people, but i realized i could try to help stretch that money even further by matching other people's donations.
so, boost this post and whatever amount of money you have to give--50, 20, 10, 1 or less--donate it to the GFM linked below and then send a screenshot of proof of your donation either in a reblog on this post or in DMs to me, and i'll match it, up to $100 (which is a little less than €100 but it's what i have).
i'm hoping that at the very least we can get another person's worth of donations and double my original donation, maybe more if people keep donating through this post after i've sent all mine, but even if this post gets no traction i'll still be donating the full $100 within the week. there's nothing to lose, please boost to help Walaa Abusamra and her family evacuate gaza right now, and donate anything you can if you have it.

Hardening is using advanced security protocols, that are too much for most users and can break parts of services that the average layman uses (Windows store, windows services, windows updates) - for the sake of control. Option 2a and 2b are very niche and only for those that understand what the links say + don't use default Windows services.
Option 1 is recommended for most people interested in "debloating".
In case you have little choice on having to use Windows 11.

For clarification: That's what meant by "more digital literacy". The 2 options below aren't simple. They require reading and knowing what the documentation in the link means, and what they do, and why. It requires a much higher digital literacy.
The reason windows update is turned off by default in option 2a and 2b, for example, is because of the frequent known issue of Windows first roll of updates more likely to break something (causing new vulnerabilities, significant bugs, or BSODs in some cases) that then get fixed in later updates - thus the script is for those that know what they're doing and keep up with updates - to get to manually install and choose which windows update to get. As well as following Windows security manuals, that aren't necessary for every user.
Even to run option 2a and 2b - The instructions will also be confusing for said beginners, as it doesn't explain how to run the script in a way they'll understand as it's not made for them (for example, it doesn't say where to run the script nor how to get it nor what is required; doesn't include the info of administrative privileges and command prompt and the pre-installed prerequisites, in a step-by-step way).
Whereas, the first link ("basic") with Chris Titus tutorial has a walkthrough, with more understandable explanations of what things do and why.
Option 1 Starting with installing Windows 11 with the "english (world)" language, which makes Windows not install optional apps (candy crush, tiktok, etc) by default thru the windows install itself. And the later part of windows utility app later that shows options to opt-in to in a GUI, with warnings ⚠️ on the unnecessary options beginners shouldn't check off.
