Well its not much fancy but there's all darkwood furniture and light walls with tonesof blue and green all over, cools off the heat as it get very VERY hot at times, my desk is quite of a small space but i wish to hang some artwork in blue hopefully soon ^^

Book Title: Objects from Behind by Ahn Gyu-cheol

Essay Title: Time, as lived by plants

What do the little flowering trees in the backyard do all winter long? The azaleas that, spring to fall, flaunted their green leaves and red flowers to their hearts’ content, now stand still in the cold winter wind for a few months, a frozen image outside the window. After a few chickadees visit in the morning, nothing changes from sunrise to sunset, apart from the shadows that slowly orbit around me. In this unchanging scenery, they remain motionless, their dry, shrivelled branches stretched out in all directions, perhaps sleeping or perhaps dreaming. They’re not the only ones. All kinds of insects and weeds bear through these harsh times in the same way.

But is it right for us to pity them? When I think about those small things standing as one against merciless nature, silent as stone, biding their time, I think about how much we fret and fuss with worry. Trying to fill the void of every second, we are unable to keep still even for a moment. How ridiculous our anxiety must seem to them. I hope that this becomes a year where I learn to be embarrassed by all the whining about being lonely or depressed when I’m alone and about whether life has any meaning or not. I hope doing that awakens the plant-like moments hidden within me in this new year. In front of winter trees, I make this wish.

Your sentiment towards Seokmin didn’t conjure out of thin air. “‘Say everything they want, it should be that easy.’ ‘Yeah, get that ass back with a few sweet words.’ ‘Pretend you regret everything and everything will be back to normal.’ Are you kidding me, Seokmin?”

His breath is hitched in the throat, and he suddenly feels more naked than he already did.

“‘Will update guys when I can. For sure, I’ll get them back where I want them.’” You threw it back at him, aiming for his head only for it to smack his shoulder when he attempted to dodge. “Well, did you, Seok? Did you get me back where you want me?”

“I-I. I don’t mean for you to—“

“Save it.”

Even he wasn’t dumb to know not to stop you, merely watching silently as you gathered your belongings and exited through the door, leaving him to stew in his pot of deception and hopefully regret.

As you walked away, a bittersweet sense of accomplishment washed over you, closure settling in your hidden smile. Yet, as you take those final steps, tears well up for the first time, burning as they ran down your already warm cheeks. Still, there's a certain satisfaction in knowing that he never bore witness to them. That was enough for now.

Seungcheol: The soccer team captain and dad who knows what’s best for his team and is essentially there in place of there coach who never seems to be around. Former MVP until Mingyu joined the team two years later but has never felt any ill will towards him, but will nag at him like a clingy mother. That just meant that Mingyu’s his favorite.

Jeonghan: team member who recently injured his leg and has been indefinitely benched until further notice. Naturally nosy and suspicious as fuck of Y/n for being unrealistically pretty, that’s his job. There has to be something up with you and he’s kind of determined to find out. Emphasis on the kinda. There are still better things to do.

Wonwoo: One of Mingyu’s closest friends and usually the person Mingyu would confide in. Joined the soccer team because Mingyu said it’d be fun so he’s on the team. Has eccentric taste. Currently interested in someone he describes being misunderstood and wishes other people would see her how he sees her.

Soonyoung: team’s defense player, emphasis on player. Has a track record for getting with everyone on the track team and other sports teams on campus while he’s at it, but gets the job done when needed and reliable teammate. Has a particular interest in you, the new guy, and wonders what is it about you that’s different than everyone else on the team. Maybe it's just his hormones talking. He’s just enthusiastic as he would call it.

Joshua: Seungcheol’s secondhand man and if Seungcheol can’t be found for some reason, Josh is your best bet. Can be a little shit instigator and loves having some power but knows how overwhelming the power can be and rather work in the shadows and let Seungcheol do the heavy lifting.

Minghao: Friend of Y/n that helps them with their entire makeover and confidant. Usually is on the other end hearing your complaints and worries about this experience but it’s ok, he’s an artist. He has trust in his work.

Jun: Team member and one big ball of sunshine. Nice guy that’s just happy to be part of the team. Tries to keep the energy positive and a great distraction when conflict arises.
