This is TFS!Asha at the beginning of her story arc btw… her motivations are something along these lines hmmm wonder what they are

recently i stood inside penn station in new york, waiting for my amtrak train to board after another great visit home to my parents. the same parents that my ex boyfriend hated for no reason other than that they were supportive of me and wanted me to do well. and i was listening to the new taylor swift album, my weathered vera bradly tote at my feet. the manuscript came on, a song about looking back at a torrid relationship and i dont know what compelled me but i opened up snapchat and scrolled back through all of our saved snapchats, skimming my way through the memories tainted with blatant lies and manipulation. i saved one photo of me and my younger sister that i forgot i sent him. i dont regret being in love but i do regret that i didnt see when the love ended. and standing in penn station, i blocked him just as they announced my train was boarding. and it felt so good.

soft launching a rancher duo au @cryingincrocs and i recently came up with that i'm genuinely so obsessed with!! newlywed tango and jimmy move out to the countryside to start a life together on a ranch jimmy's purchased from a family friend. jimmy has always had the dream of raising and rehabilitating animals out in the countryside, and tango is fresh out of his smithing apprenticeship, planning to build a home forge and become a full time bladesmith.

the large property lends itself well to both of their prospective careers, and they quickly settle into a routine of fixing up their new home, working around the farm together, selling animal products and crops at farmers markets to make money. tango also picks up odd handyman jobs in the meantime to afford the equipment for his forge. when tango is able to fully start his career as a bladesmith, he spends his mornings helping jimmy around the farm, his afternoons in the forge, and his evenings in their home. he sells his work as a local artisan and is able to make decent money from the craft.

they'd definitely live a very domestic life together, taking care of their home and going on dates in the evenings when the workday is done. i also love the idea that they'd introduce each other to their specific work, with jimmy teaching tango how to care for the animals, and tango eventually showing jimmy how to forge a basic blade in the shop. honestly i would love to do something with this, though i'm not really sure what? i feel like i can't really make a proper plot out of this since it's more for just like... vibes and atmosphere? so it's not really multichapter fic worthy. leaning in the direction of writing some drabbles and oneshots just to capture the vibe, maybe just some individual moments like a countryside date after a long day of work, or a domestic morning. maybe a oneshot collection? or maybe just more of these ramblings and headcanons!

please leave your thoughts, as this au is very underdeveloped at the moment but i'm so interested to see where it goes!

Both are stuck in “The Nile” (Denial), and they can’t climb out of it so I guess we’re leaving them there to drown until they figure it out themselves. Everyone knows Cielo is down bad except Cielo himself apparently. Meanwhile, Asha thinks this rotten star has cursed her into feeling this weird feelings she never asked for. They’re both stupid <3

RFTS!Starsha/“Hopes and Dreams” by @oh-shtars (aka me):

Sueño is a very straightforward person when it comes to expressing feelings both positive or negative. A heavy PDA guy and gift-giver that showers Asha with every rock, trinket, leaf and flower he finds interesting until her hands are full. Asha gets highly overwhelmed by the affection since she’s used to her introverted ways of being a wallflower. But once she’s over her shyness and insecurities, it’s going to be Sueño’s turn to be blushing madly.

Basically:

RFTS!Asha: “Look, I can’t jump into conclusions. He’s like this to everyone. Besides, why would he like someone like me?”

Girl, he doesn’t literally light up or gift like 5 different rocks every 5 minutes to just anyone-

(Plus, both are pretty playful so they’re most likely going to be in friendly competition often of who flusters the other the most once they’re actually official.)

I love it when they do this. I really do.
