I'm glad Egalt took the slightly bitchy attitude of Wu that he occasionally just Has in certain cases (like s11e1) and decided he's not gonna be quite like that, but he's gonna be more of an ass to the ninja, constantly belittling their training efforts and acting like they're not worth his time.

I was only thinking of the risk to myself. We’re married now, a team. And after everything happened at the cabin, it hit me hard that the moves I make affect you just as much. I could’ve gotten you killed.  /  Hey—don’t do that. I was with you every step of the way. I always will be.

Speed-running Doctor Who - 3rd Doctor
Tumblr media
A quick and dirty guide for those who want to get into the show, but don't want to watch everything from the beginning.
For Those Who Just Wanna Get An Idea of the Era
The Claws of Axos - S8E3
Tumblr media
It's not the best. It's not the worst. It's just pure average Who... The Third Doctor's type of Who precisely. It hits all of the stereotypical notes that the era is known for while being an easy digestible four parts length, and is fairly continuity lite.
Plot Important Episodes
Entrances, Exits, Enemies, Lore Drops, and Character Development
Tumblr media
Spearhead from Space - S7E1 (first story with the Third Doctor, the return of UNIT, introduces both Liz and the Autons)
Doctor Who and the Silurians - S7E2 (first story to feature the Silurians)
Inferno - S7E4 (character development for the Doctor and Liz's last story)
Terror of the Autons - S8E1 (return of the Autons, the first story featuring The Master... who may or may not be a later incarnation of the Meddler and/or War Master, and introduces both Jo and Mike Yates)
The Mind of Evil - S8E2 (character development for The Master)!
Colony in Space - S8E4 (the first time the Third Doctor gets to travel to an alien planet and we find out that the Time Lords are using him as a reluctant 'agent' to further their agenda)
The Dæmons - S8E5 (the season finale and the Master is finally apprehended by UNIT)
Day of the Daleks - S9E1 (the return of the Daleks after a long absence and the first full timey whimey story)
The Sea Devils - S9E3 (The Master breaks out of jail and joins forces with the Silurians' cousins the titled Sea Devils)
The Three Doctors - S10E1 (first multi-Doctor story, 10th anniversary special, introduces Omega)
Frontier in Space - S10E3 (introduces the Draconians and is the final story with Delgado's Master)
The Green Death - S10E5 (Jo's last story and character development for Mike Yates)
The Time Warrior - S11E1 (Sarah Jane's first story and the first appearance of the Sontarans)
Invasion of the Dinosaurs - S11E2 (The Doctor is betrayed by one of his companions!)
Planet of the Spiders - S11E5 (final story with the Third Doctor and Mike Yates' last appearance)
Personal Favorite and Least Favorite Stories
Because one man's trash is another man's treasure and vice versa
Favorite: The Ambassadors of Death - S7E3
Tumblr media
Least Favorite: The Mutants - S9E4
Tumblr media
(disclaimer: no spin-offs or extended universe stuff was considered when making this list)
Up Next: Fourth Doctor

A Queer History of SNL, Part Four: The Lost Years
People use the term “the lost years” differently when speaking of Saturday Night Live, but this podcast is using it specifically from the time Lorne Michaels left the show after season five up until season eleven. Aside from Eddie Murphy’s presence on the show, these are the sketches that are less remembered today because they weren’t rerun on Comedy Central in the 2000s as much and they’re largely absent from the cache of episodes preserved online today. And that’s too bad, because this is when the show boasted some legends in the cast — Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Billy Crystal, Joan Cusack, Robert Downey Jr., Martin Short and Damon Wayans among them, as well as queer cast members Terry Sweeney, Denny Dillon and Danitra Vance.
The sketches (and click here if you want to watch them):
“SoHo Lesbians” (S6E10: Debbie Harry)
“Little Richard Simmons” (S7E1: No host)
“James Coburn Is a Homosexual” (S7E11: James Coburn)
“Focus on Film: Making Love” (S7E12: Bruce Dern)
“Penny Lane” (S10E11: Roy Scheider)
“Pinklisting” (S11E1: Madonna)
“Mr. Monopoly” (S11E12: Griffin Dunne)
Monologue (S11E16: Catherine Oxenberg)
“Lesbian Pick-Ups” (S11E18: Anjelica Huston)

Wally, an important question in life - which m*a*s*h episodes are the top tier ones??
Mice I hope you know me well enough by now to know you're getting a long answer to this question lol. I swear I tried to pare the list down to my absolute favourites from each season but it was really hard in some cases.
I'm listing these in release order rather than ranking them because it would be unfair to compare the comedy episodes with the tragic ones. These are the episodes I'd recommend to someone who's interested in the show but not necessarily willing to watch 11 seasons (though of course there are other good episodes that didn't make it onto this list).
s1e6: Yankee Doodle Doctor
s1e15: Tuttle
s1e17: Sometimes You Hear the Bullet
s1e19: The Longjohn Flap
s2e2: Five O'clock Charlie
s2e12: The Incubator
s2e22: George
s3e11: Adam's Rib
s3e19: Aid Station
s4e1&2: Welcome to Korea
s4e5: The Late Captain Pierce
s5e6: The Nurses
s5e22: Movie Tonight
s5e25: Margaret's marriage
s6e5: War of Nerves
s6e16: The Smell of Music
s7e2: Peace on Us
s7e11: Point of View
s7e14: An Eye for a Tooth
s7e17: Inga
s7e21: C*A*V*E
s7e24: A Night at Rosie's
s8e9: Mr. & Mrs. Who?
s8e11: Lifetime
s8e15: Yessir, That's Our Baby
s8e18: Old Soldiers
s9e5: Death Takes a Holiday
s10e11: Follies of the Living -- Concerns of the Dead
s10e16: Pressure Points
s10e17: Where There's a Will There's a War
s11e1: Hey Look Me Over
s11e4: The Joker is Wild
s11e7: Settling Debts
s11e16: Goodbye, Farwell and Amen

i don't have to say it, we all know, everyone's painfully aware, but i'm going to say it anyway because i can never stop thinking about it...
sterling's post-coma epiphany / huge verbal vomit monologue wherein he declares that he basically can't live without lana is devastating. gut-wrenching. heart-breaking. soul-crushing. the list goes on. and it's made even worse when r****t appears, BUT, but, this line, the "needing you is apparently the deepest part of me," line is absolutely unrecoverable when you consider that sterling is, to his core, an addict.
addicts need their substances, whatever they may be, they need their fixes. sterling is incapable of going a single episode without a drink. so, when he confesses that he not only needs lana, but that she is the truest, deepest need he has, he's saying a lot more than just 'i love you' in between the lines. to me, he's admitting he's addicted to her, always has been, will most likely never stop being addicted to her... it just took three years in a coma for him to figure it out...
