I may be really stupid in terms of history and politics, but. Why every person who tells to Russian people to "rise up, do revolution!" because of the current situation, should remind about October Revolution? And especially - like it was something good and should be taken as an example?

I mean: it's all is a history, of course, but isn't the current situation a consequence of this revolution is some way? Like, the formation of USSR and the long oppression of Stalin, Gulag... What good did this "victory of proletariat" bring to the country? The century-long generationic trauma and the long line of oppresive rulers?

This country already had the revolution, thanks. We all see where it ended. The story that started with bloodbath and economic destruction won't end with flowers and world peace.

Though the impeachment for... somebody... would be nice. But in any case, I don't see any quick resolution. As a practice shows, destroying lives takes 1 day. Building them - several generations. And these generations will be much more open-minded if they aren't raised up in the atmosphere of hatred and at the brink of survival.

To make my point clear, the war is an unforgivable crime and should be stopped. But at the same time, you can't expect that in the country with century-long political learned helplessness among ordinary citizens, you can just say them "toss away the little you have and make a revolution! " and expect that the next leader that raise up in such environment won't be another bag of shit.

Regardless of Biden’s real agenda it was very easy to convince Americans to have instant empathy for Ukraine even though those same Americans are actively ignoring occupation & tyranny happening in POC (Arabic) countries like Yemen, (Tigray region) Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Sudan & Palestine (as well as bombing in Syria & Somalia)..it is because Ukrainians are Europeans ( White ) ...no matter the situation... no matter what is happening on a global scale RACISM will always be present... because the world is fundamentally anti-Black.
