Pre-war summer of 2021 in Odesa, Ukraine.

Life last summer was filled with hardship and sadness, but they were ordinary, universal things. It was life in all its senses. This summer is different. No one cancelled the everyday problems, the difficulties that any person in any corner of the world experiences.

And now, among other issues, every morning when you wake up (or do not sleep at all), with pain and fear you read the news, in short phrases you find out if your relatives and friends are alive and well. Instead of seagulls on the sea, mines swing like floats on the waves.

Not a day goes by without pain, terror and thoughts of despair. Russia is staging daily terrorist attacks in Ukraine, the number of rockets dropped on children's playgrounds in the morning is increasing.

Yes, Russia is a terrorist state, don't forget this. Russia slaughters the prisoners of war from Azovstal in cold blood, violating every conceivable and unthinkable "rule of war".

In the city of Mykolaiv, thanks to the heroic defense of which there are no russian troops in my native Odesa, people waiting for a tram are being killed at a public transport stop.

The last missile attacks cannot be tracked, so the air-raid siren starts screaming after the bombing.

I really want to share photos with quotes from my favorite poets, writers and musicians. But I can't. As long as there is war in Ukraine, as long as we are constantly being killed in our sleep, on a sunny day or a rainy evening, I cannot and will not be silent.

I understand that everyone is very tired, but I am really asking you to please share this post. Please don't stop helping Ukraine in every way you can.

It is terribly difficult, hard, sometimes completely unbearable for all of us in Ukraine, but we are all fighting as best we can for our and your freedom, for the opportunity to love and make this world a better place, for our relatives, loved ones and strangers, for the cats and dogs, for our magical landscapes and for the opportunity to live peacefully in our country.

Thank you to everyone who helps, empathises and sympathises.

Please, support Ukraine, pray for us and stay with Ukraine. Slava Ukraini!

Час коли ти з захопленням дивишся за своїм народом, колі всі об'єднуються проти єдиної цілі, щоб не дати загарбнику знищити нашу домівку.
