Jaune: *blushes and fidgets, but has a goofy smile on his face*
Whiterose!Ruby: *is holding Weiss' hand, who has her own chair next to hers* This is my princess and my knight rolled up into one. I'd fight for her cause she'd fight for me.
Weiss: *is blushing furiously as she covers her face with one of her hands*

My half human/mesakkah oc's. Their siblings! They live on a ship and travel all over space to collect space debris or crashed ship parts and other things they can sell for profit. Their father is a space junker who does the same thing and that's how he met their mother, a human, and then Kyukydo and Kaiza were born. 6 years later, katomi was born and was the spoiled princess everyone makes her out to be and were overbearing. Her brother came of age and left first leaving Katomi alone with her parents and their trade of work (which she was pissed about even if she loves jer parents) before she eventually went with her brothers to work with them.
Eventually, Katomi wanted to be..more and have her own things and not have her older brother and her parents breathing down the back of their only sister and daughter. She is small like her mother and took after her mother a lot. (Besidea the obvious mesakkah traits) Because of this, she was protected well from other aliens who wanted to abduct her and sell her because even in space, you have horrible people. But she wasn't all aware of that because she was kinda sheltered. Her father and brothers taught her how to defend herself and use a blaster and knives and hand-to-hand combat, but there's only so much you can do.
She saved enough of her own credits and got her first little junker ship and just..poof. left. She has learned the hard way that not everyone in space is friendly. But she's still a spoiled brat. She's currently trapped on THE Ice planet, getting "help" from one of the locals who basically dwarfs her small size. She is still learning how sakh got stuck on this cold primitive planet, their history on the planet and such.
Her brothers are looking for her and her parents (father especially) is absolutely furious with her so....she might not want ro fo home. Lol
Kyukydo is the first born and kinda a...dick. he's cocky most of the time and knows how to do things and get shit done....but he hates being called "Kyu" (which his family does all the time) because it sounds like the human english word "cute" and he thinks he's anything but.
Then you have Kaiza, born second, who is the more timid and quite sibling compared to his 2 other loud mouthed siblings. He's mellow and very very smart and loves technology and is more reserved. He's soft spoken and the calm sibling in times of distress. No one has ever seen him angry yet. Probably best if they dont.

I'm 2/3rds of the way through, I think I'm genuinely going to try to finish it tonight because I NEED TO FINISH IT AAAAA ninth house made me INSANE and hell bent has just been phenomenal. phenomenal!!!!!

I read the first 100 pages in one sitting, I know I'm going to love it. I desperately need to catch up on the rest of the Cosmere specifically The Stormlight Archives but time. I have none!
Sworn to the Shadow God by Ruby Dixon
I really enjoyed Bound to the Battle God, I've been listening to this one on audible at work but I need to sit down & finish it. don't think I'll finish this series unless I get another rubyverse hankering, which is likely!
Priest by Sierra Simon
here's the thing. this book? fantastic. my desire to read smut? dwindling at best. I have to be in such a specific mood. she is languishing on my nightstand. fantastic spice if I had any interest.

I've actually just about finished this one, 70% of the way through, but like the above it's just a matter of motivation.
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
weeps. every time I finish a SJM book I need like a month to decompress. at this point so long as I finish TOG sometime before CC3 I'll be glad. do I like SJM's writing? not really. has it become ridiculously comforting? yeah. SJM books are kind of my go-to when i have no braincells to spare.

The Matrix Arc, Chapter Four
Megatron had excused himself from the feast, leaving his officers to continue the festivities as he descended into the fortress. With Ramulus gone, he had quickly moved to ensure that all those living in the slums of Tarn had been moved to the empty living quarters in the main city. Tarn’s own capitol building had been repurposed as the home base for the Ascenticon party. After travelling the halls, Megatron turned into the room he had chosen to use for himself and dismounted his arm drill, leaning it against the wall. He turned to the wash station and looked at himself in the mirror. He saw his hands clenched into tight fists. He saw his face and arms stained with the energon. He saw the rage in his eyes as he had hurt Orion and killed… He saw Zeta’s dying face in the mirror behind him and turned around, frightened, to see…
Rubble.
“You okay?”
A few million solar cycles ago, after his shift in the mine, Megatron had found an abandoned sparkling trapped under a collapsed section. He had rescued it, of course, but due to his assigned caste, he couldn’t officially have children. So, Rubble, as she had been christened, became Megatron’s secret child. He had been good with taking care of her for millions of cycles, but then, just over a week ago, Ramulus had caught him trying to sneak extra rations for Rubble, for what they at least celebrated as her forgeday. Terminus had taken the blame, saying he had asked Megatron to steal extra rations for him. And that led to- Well, Megatron didn’t want to think about it. In the past 10 days, Megatron had shed more blood than he had in his whole life.
“You okay?” Rubble repeated her words, snapping Megatron out of his trance.
He kneeled down to be more level with the bed she stood on, and set down the tray of food he had taken for her. “Yes, dear. I’m fine. Just preparing for my interview tomorrow.”
“Oshkay!” Rubble responded, despite already shoving the food into her mouth.
The door to the room slid open, and Megatron instinctively moved to hide Rubble.
Shockwave stood at the door, bearing repairs and upgrades he and Starscream had been working on since he returned from the Sea of Rust. “Ah- Sorry to interrupt, Lord Megatron. I did not realize you were preoccupied.”
“No, it is alright. I am just used to having to hide… Her… “
Megatron moved aside, revealing a wide-eyed Rubble, still with handfuls of food ready to be shoved into her mouth. Shockwave remained motionless.
“This is Rubble, my daughter.”
“Shello!”
“Greetings, sparkling.” Shockwave did a small bow, a gesture of respect from his days as a senator. “I am called Shockwave.”
“I am shcalled… Shrubble!” Rubble threw her arms in the air, excitedly.
Shockwave returned to his full standing position, and turned to face Megatron. “Are you prepared for your session?”
“Ah, yes…” Megatron stood up and patted Rubble on the head. “I have to go for a while, okay? If you need anything, you know to call Soundwave or Grimlock.”
“Yup!”
Megatron picked up his drill, and gave one last warm look to Rubble before leaving with Shockwave to head to his lab.

doc gets poofed one day on a mission and the rest of the ruby squad scrambles to figure out who should be the surrogate doc, eyeball insisting since shes the oldest she should take over, army says shes the physically strongest, navy says shes the most intuitive, leggy just really wants to wear a visor
it ends up with doc reforming to find her teammates shapeshifted their uniforms to hers and are still beating on eachother ala “IM DIRTY DAN”
