Current Stardew Valley ships
I'm including characters from Ridgeside Village and Expanded mods bc they are canon in my heart 💕
Tumblr media
Maru x Sam
Girl boss and her himbo, need I say more? They have to have interacted since Sam is Seb's friend! Classic crush on older brother's friend. Also I think Sam would be super creative and everytime he was like "what if-" Maru would try to invent the thing. Complete chaos. Demetrius tries to threaten Sam like he does the farmer but it completely goes over Sam's head. This pairing lives in my head rent free.
Tumblr media
Hailey x Leah
I can definitely see the two of them having multiple forest meet cutes and bonding over their passion for art! Just picture Hailey teaching Leah how to photograph and Leah teaching Hailey to paint and scuplt, both leaning new crafts together. They totally end up running a joint etsy and presenting their works at the fair! They make such a cute cottagecore couple fr if you think about it. I think they'd adopt a bunny don't ask me why. 🐰
Tumblr media
Jeric (RSV) x Alex
Yessss himbo rivals to lovers! Ever since I saw there was a mod for them to get together I've been sold. It's canon to me.
Tumblr media
Philip (RSV) x Sophia (SDVE)
Sophia enjoys anime, manga, and cosplay. Phillip has a secret geeky side and loves comics. I can totally see these two making awkward small talk at the Stardrop Saloon that turns into Gus politely asking them to leave because they got so enthralled discussing their favorites that they lost track of time and everything else going on around them and now the Saloon is empty and about to close lol. They end up having a slow burn geeky friends to lovers featuring them sharing copies of manga/comics and discussing the latest episodes of their favorite shows. Gus definitely ships it and gives them a nudge here and there.
Tumblr media
Flor (RSV) x Gunther
The slowest slow burn. They are both autism creatures. I can completely see them bonding over their special interests bc if you think about it, archeologists and psychologists both study people. Just imagine them infordumping to each other on coffee dates in the Log Cabin Café or discussing the implications of newly discovered artifacts in the museum after hours. They are basically married before either one works up the nerve to ask the other on a date. The whole valley quietly ships it.
Tumblr media
Shiro (RSV) x Harvey
Hear me out: Former paratrooper in recovery being treated by a doctor who wanted to be a pilot? There is no way they didn't talk about planes and Shiro's experiences. Shiro probably enjoyed that someone was talking to him about his interests instead of his injuries, it likely made him feel *normal again for awhile. I can just picture the moment when Harvey shows Shiro his radio equipment when he's well enough to go up the stairs, it's a big moment for them both for many reasons 🥺 Also, the added drama of having a crush on your doctor/patient...
*I'm not saying Shiro isn't normal, he has in game dialogue expressing he doesn't feel normal bc of his injuries. As a person with mobility issues myself I understand that mindset and how hard it is not to feel that way.

Oh yeah, the Stardew ask one! Dance of the Moonlight Jellies and Stardew Valley Fair for Skylar? 😊✨
🌙 Dance of the Moon Jellies 🌙
How does your OC feel about staying up to watch the moon jellies? Do they go? Do they stay home? Skylar's not exactly a big fan of the beach or the ocean, but there's something so undeniably beautiful and mystical about the lunaloos that they can't resist the opportunity to go see them.
Do they start to fall asleep and need someone to keep them up? & Do they watch the jellies with others or prefer to find a quiet spot to observe all on their own? If they do watch with others, who do they watch it with? They absolutely do start to doze off while waiting. They've been working hard all day after all! But that's why Skylar likes to be around Philip since he has the same problem. If one of them starts to fall asleep the other will wake them up. Or Torts will bite them if they both doze off 😅
🍔 Stardew Valley Fair 🍔
How do they feel about the Stardew Valley Fair? Is it fun or annoying? How do they feel about the tourist? Skylar is pretty neutral about the fair and usually spends their time just standing in silence with Marlon by the weapons grange, mostly to avoid the tourist and chat with Alesia if she comes by.
What games do they play, if any? Do they play to win star tokens or just for fun? What kind of prizes do they like to get? Slingshot game, 100 Percent. It's less about the star tokens and more about wanting to beat Sam's high score, but they haven't even gotten close to it yet. They usually end up buying some random food item, a plushie, or piling their coins together with the rest of their friends for something they wanted.
How do they feel about Gus's burgers? Skylar's not exactly vegetarian, but they don't eat a lot of meat. They think the burgers are okay, but you'll usually find them over at Pika's instead if they're getting something to eat. They are incredibly concerned and amused by the rate at which Lance seems to scarf them down though

tuesdaypost year in review
this year brought to you by viewers like you. thank you! i still do not know how to thank everyone for their incredible generosity during the Late July/Early August Moving Catastrophe Badtimes and im still feelin some kinda way about it. thank you.
took eight weeks completely off, more than any other year so far
overnight traveled for work for the first time
moved cross country with Mack to face dangers untold and hardships unnumbered
bought an actual for-real couch and not a futon
got Phil
(unrelated to Phil) i got spayed after almost ten years of begging and pleading various medical professionals, (also unrelated) got covid and RSV back to back
listening
fallow weeks: 8. i almost always have a tuesdaysong bc i am almost always listening to something. all of the tuesdaysongs are here:
particular favorites were Peel Me A Grape (Anita O’Day), top spotify song of the year Yeah Yeah Yeah (Blood Orchid), Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Wolf remixed by Sextile, Father Finlee (Spence Hood), A Minha Menina (Os Mutantes).
the very last tuesdaysong of the year is Sugar Rum Cherry by Duke Ellington, one of the few christmas songs i tolerate.
special shoutout to the austin underscore walker universe of podcasts, bc i mainlined A More Civilized Age (clone wars/star wars rewatch) while packing, and devoured P/alisade (the newest scifi season of F/riends at the Table) this month.
-
reading
fallow weeks: 11. pleased that i am killing the invisible rules in my head and including more articles instead of feeling guilty about Not Reading A Real Book!!! every week when i sit down to write the tuesdaypost. read a fuckton earlier this year bc i was procrastinating moving prep, have not read much since i moved.
article sources:
inoreader (the best free RSS feed/app imo)
The Markup (gold standard usage of data to show how various technologies are being used to harm the public good: you may have heard of the recent American bills to equalize internet service and fix organ donation grift. that was them)
Web 3 Is Going Just Great (crypto disasters)
404 Media (technology reporting, internet culture, also break a lot of data/legal/privacy scandals)
Remap (formerly Vice's video games division Waypoint, more active on podcasts and twitch but do have great personal essays about gaming longreads)
Retraction Watch (an important academic service but platformed a particularly virulent transphobe and let the comments devolve into a free for all. yes im still mad about this)
Krebs on Security (~once a month extremely long and thoughtful infosec writeups)
Data Colada (cover academic data whoopsies, currently being sued for their journalism)
the two authors i spent the most time with this year were Alexis Hall (romance novels and novellas) and Raymond Chandler's noir detective novels. i read 90% of Raymond Chandler's work in march and went insane about yet another sad bisexual man. Philip Marlowe the cat is named after his pet detective, the human Philip Marlowe.
Tumblr media
march was kind of a banger for this category bc in one of what i consider the best tuesdayposts this year, i tried to break down why i fucking hated Frank Miller's Sin City comics so much.
Tumblr media
other comics, but ones i loved: Spy X Family, Berserk, weird noir DC miniseries The Human Target.
Tumblr media
-
watching
fallow weeks: 10
notable stuff i watched for the first time (according to letterboxd) that will stick in my head for a bit. some (The Night of the Hunter) i am so glad i watched once but do not feel the need to revist. some (Slipstream) fascinate me with how good they could have been. some (Twilight. all of them) were fun bc of the people i watched them with. the two i went particularly deranged over are The Big Sleep and Day of Anger. still feel very normal about them.
Tumblr media
very heavy on crime and courtroom films this year!
television: very excited for s2 of Blue Eye Samurai, Interview With The Vampire, Spy X Family.
youtube
i should loop back and finish Black Lagoon, Adventure Time (completely forgot i rewatched most of that this spring), and The Big O. that last one is throwing me a little bc (since i last checked) there is no freely available version with subtitles (i cannot find subtitles Period) and i'll be damned if i have to import a dvd. i can find the dub with subtitles but! i want to hear spike spiegel as mecha-batman :(
sort of lukewarm eh-i'll-get-around-to-it about s/tar wars shows. i have not watched a/hsoka At All or wrapped up the animated Resistance show. i'll pay attention when ando/r is airing again.
-
playing
fallow weeks: 10. way fewer than i would have guessed!
the trouble with this category is that it is exceptionally hard to find new good games (either ones i already own or ones that are free). it is almost completely prohibitively exhausting to trawl through the free category on steam. there's simply a lot of cruft out there. a very good thing (but also incredibly timeconsuming thing) i started this year was throwing games into various folders so the eight bajillion libraries i have are less overwhelming. i can safely ignore 80% of my epic games library, for example. the itch.io library is a whole separate weekend project i think.
Tumblr media
got back into genshin for good or for ill, which took up most of the back half of the year.
youtube
go play ABZU. i am no longer asking.
i would like to go back and finish the RPG Gamedec, un-softblock myself in the RPG Weird West, and finish the visual novel Dead Man's Rest. i think i stalled out in Call of Juarez: Gunslinger bc there was a mexican standoff that my reflexes are simply not fast enough for/too much to pay attention to. i am excited to pick up that spooky fishing simulator DREDGE when i have fun money again.
Tumblr media
completely forgot i spent most of jan/feb/march being annoyed at fallou/t 4 but having some fun in Far Harbor, also forgot i spent an entire month playing through Wolfenstein: The New Order but i am not compelled to play through it again. it was fun! but like many games after one playthrough my time with it is done!
-
making
fallow weeks: 17 (unsurprising, pretty low energy year as a whole as i recovered from covid rounds 1 and 2 and the frankly insane stress of moving).
wrote exactly one fic: some matters at the heart of cowboy western snap shirts: why they are so and some of the implications of their being so, i would like to write more next year but i don't really have the brainpower. i hope this changes soon.
the baby blanket i started last year is still not done but the baby is still under a year so i have a very narrow window of time.
dyed some couch covers im still very pleased with
Tumblr media
wrote an extremely long but very well received gallery wall guide
Tumblr media
recipes: 12. sort of shocked by this? i am becoming an incrementally better cook and slowly finding recipes i both like and can successfully execute. found the fortitude to caramelize onions, for example. quick pickled red onions, for another thing. big year for protein or greens on top of beans and rice. faves included: cuban-style pork shoulder, hellofresh peruvian chicken, red lentil soup, white bean/kale/rice bowls
i would like to be less terrified about cooking fish. i would like to eat more fish.
and of course, the biggest project of all, acquired Phil. here is my very favorite photo ive ever taken of a cat

TRAVAILING UNTIL CHRIST IS FORMED IN YOU [Galatians 4g]
“My little children, with whom I am again in TRAVAIL UNTIL CHRIST BE FORMED IN YOU.”
Galatians 4:19 (RSV)
Tumblr media
• Your primary assignment as a Minister is to divide, SKILLFULLY TEACH the Word of truth—the Bible (2 Timothy 2:15).
- You are to feed the flock of God under your Care: "I urge you then to SEE THAT YOUR “flock of God” IS PROPERLY FED AND CARED FOR. Accept the responsibility of looking after them willingly AND NOT BECAUSE YOU FEEL YOU CAN'T GET [something] OUT OF IT, DOING YOUR WORK NOT FOR WHAT YOU CAN MAKE, BUT BECAUSE YOU ARE REALLY CONCERNED FOR THEIR WELL-BEING" (1 Peter 5:2 Philips).
- You are to equip them for the work of ministry and edify them–build THEM up.
11. “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12. FOR THE EQUIPPING OF THE SAINTS FOR THE WORK OF MINISTRY, FOR THE EDIFYING OF THE BODY OF CHRIST.”
Ephesians 4:11,12 (NKJV)
- You are to take oversight—serve as an overseer (Acts 20: 27,28; Hebrews 13:7,17).
- You oversee the people in prayer not by needless visitations, although visiting their houses when needed may be necessary.
- Some Ministers are fond of going to people’s houses, offices, shops and so on IN the name of visitation.
SOME Ministers who do such a THING are BEING sincerely wrong, they do not know better, they thought they would have to visit the people all the time; BUT some are doing it because of the money that would be given to them.
THE real oversight of people is done in the place of prayer.
- If you commit your people to God in prayer, you put prayer covering over them and pray that Christ be formed in them, you may not need to be going about visiting them all the time.
- Your major assignment is to watch over them in prayer, and stay before God to study His Word and fellowship with Him to receive what to feed them with.
BEING hardworking in the Ministry is not about running around per se, but about being diligent in prayer, the studying of the Word, and ministering what you have studied and received from God to the people!
2. “Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “IT IS NOT DESIRABLE THAT WE SHOULD LEAVE THE WORD OF GOD AND SERVE TABLES.
4. “BUT WE WILL GIVE OURSELVES CONTINUALLY TO PRAYER AND TO THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD.”
Acts 6:2,4 (NKJV)
• If you feed your people with the undiluted Word of God and stay in the presence of God to pray for them, that Christ may be formed in them; THEY would not be a prey in the hands of the false teachers.
NOTE: What time does a Minister has IN running errands for his or her church members?
• A single Parent
WHEN I was still pastoring, a sister, single parent, had A problem with the light in her house, she had issues with the Electricity Company. She came to me and narrated the story, I directed her to someone I know in the company and the person attended to her promptly, the issues were settled that day.
WHEN she came back, she said she was expecting me to go with her or go alone by myself to settle the matter on her behalf. She said, the pastor in her former church used to do that for her. She blurted out, “and I am paying my tithe.” I told her I cannot do that for you, since I know someone who can help you there, I do not need to go there.
- If you want to please everyone as a minister, you will never please God (Galatians 1:10).
- Some pastors are in the custody of the people they are leading, they are pastors that Someone can call anytime, anyhow, and demand to do one thing or another for them; And give such a pastor a paltry sum, money, for the errands he has run for them.
- These things I am sharing are common to Pastors of small congregation and some itinerant ministers.
- Some Ministers have sold their BIRTHRIGHT, ministry right, like Esau because of a morsel of meal: “Lest there be any fornicator or PROFANE PERSON LIKE ESAU, WHO FOR ONE MORSEL OF FOOD SOLD HIS BIRTHRIGHT" (Hebrews 12:16).
- The grace of God on your life is more than the money that anyone could give to you.
- Pay attention to your work, the assignment, by giving yourself to prayer and the Word of God Acts (6:2,4).
- It is when you do these, give yourself to prayer and the Word, that you will save yourself and the people you are leading (1 Timothy 4:13,16).
- When you do it, your profits or progress will come, it will APPEAR, and be SEEN, by all men (1 Timothy 4:15).
13. “Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
15. Meditate upon these things; give yourself entirely to them, THAT THY PROGRESS [profiting] MAY APPEAR TO ALL.
16. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, FOR IN DOING THIS YOU WILL SAVE BOTH YOURSELF, AND THOSE WHO HEAR YOU.”
1 Timothy 4:13-16 (NKJV)
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!

[ The Bible, Revised Standard Version; Preface, p. iv-v (2nd ed. 1971) ]
[ Alfred Durand, The New Testament article in: The Catholic Encyclopedia; Vol. 14. (New York: Robert Appleton Company, 1912. 4 Jun. 2018) ]
[ Ian Wilson, Jesus The Evidence; p. 168 (New York: Harper and Row, 1984) ]
[ Johannes Weiss, Paul and Jesus; p. 130 (Translated By Rev. H. J. Chaytor; London: Herper & Brothers, 1909) ]

Peace!
