I worked on the studio guidebook a little today, but i'm saving that work for tomorrow because @wizardbisan asked us to.

She asked us not to work, in order to put a full stop on the "business as usual" while millions have been murdered over in Gaza.

I know there is not much I can do to change the minds of people that are doing the murdering, and launching the bombs, and perpetuating the genocide, but I can decide to say something today, and tomorrow, and the next day. I might not always say it online, because its a lot, and its frustrating and scary, and doom scrolling can make you sick, just remember that when someone tells you that, you have power over what you say and do, why are we rewarding genocide, and punishing humanity?

Sorry if that was deep, I don't care about your justifications for murdering palestinian's don't talk to me if you feel that way. This studio will always be in support of gaza, and in support of a ceasefire. I hope Iran kicks Israel's whinny bitch ass.

Today marks ten years since Rise of the Guardians was released. I can and have talked the ear off of anyone who will listen about this movie.

Sometimes, I put it on just to look at all the textures and small details in the character designs. Sometimes, I put it on for comforting background noise. The books are whimsically strange and delightful with such lovely illustrations. I just love the characters, love the story, love that I can visit them for comfort and inspiration.

The Guardians brought magic back into my life, and I’ve been so glad to have them the last ten years. I’m sure these won’t be the last pieces of fan art I ever do (Jack is still one of my favorite characters to draw, you know he’ll be back), but I’m glad I got to finish these portraits to celebrate the film in time for its anniversary.

Hi this is Lumi to kick off 2024 with a visceral scream I have made a dev blog for my personal progress working on the Adventures of the Guardians series production.

watching rise of the guardians with a friend we kept going on about how sandy and pitch had divorced energy and how they could have a kid by mixing their sand together

enters their son cas. which is short for “sand castle” cause i’m very good with names. it was a joke at first but then never got changed woops

after the divorce they shared custody but due to cas “ratio” they assumed he would be naturally better at creating nightmares so he ended up under pitch’s care. turns out... cas has no interest in influencing people’s dreams and do not want to find what he’d be better at. his laziness worries his dads (more on that in the tags)

no clue how aging would work for guardians but he’s a teen so sandy and pitch can fight about him being difficult (having no ambition) and so that jack can get a friend around his age cause oof does he needs it
