Today marks ten years since Rise of the Guardians was released. I can and have talked the ear off of anyone who will listen about this movie.
Sometimes, I put it on just to look at all the textures and small details in the character designs. Sometimes, I put it on for comforting background noise. The books are whimsically strange and delightful with such lovely illustrations. I just love the characters, love the story, love that I can visit them for comfort and inspiration.
The Guardians brought magic back into my life, and I’ve been so glad to have them the last ten years. I’m sure these won’t be the last pieces of fan art I ever do (Jack is still one of my favorite characters to draw, you know he’ll be back), but I’m glad I got to finish these portraits to celebrate the film in time for its anniversary.

Rise of the Guardians 10 Year Anniversary!
10 years ago on November 21, 2012, Rise of the Guardians premiered on the big screen! 10 years, and so many of us are still here enjoying this wonderful fandom. Let’s celebrate the anniversary by highlighting and reblogging some of our favorite fan creations that have kept us here and brought us so much joy, even 10 years later! :D

Happy almost birthday Rise of the Guardians!!🎉❄🥰
Tomorrow is the 11th anniversary of when the movie first premiered! As a special surprise treat, the Lumifox Crew will be playing Gartic phone and Phasmophobia tomorrow! Something fun and hopefully less stressful (ah who am I kidding, Phasmophobia is going to stress me the heck out, its so scaryyy ;w; ) ANYWAY!
Livestream will be running on the @lumifox_productions youtube channel on November 21st, (tomorrow), from 1:00 pm EST to 7:00 PM EST! Feel free to come and go, as were doing something I might regret, a 6 hour livestream! That's right, its a double feature, featuring:
Gartic Phone: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm EST
Phasmophobia: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm EST

10 years of them:
I know it's a little late, but since yesterday I've been making this drawing to honor the fact that Rise of the Guardians has already celebrated more than 10 years of release!! ❄️✨❄️✨
This is undoubtedly one of the movies that has marked my childhood the most (in turn, my favorite movie of all Dreamworks) and I've had such a growing attachment to it (that my inner child literally told me to add myself to the drawing with age I had where the movie premiered xd)
I would have liked it to have been successful enough in its time because it has so much to give...but hey, without or with that success, ROTG has a very important place in my heart ❤️❤️❤️

HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY RISE OF THE GUARDIANS
10 years ago, I was like a lot of other people in a dark place. Rise of the Guardians helped pull me out of that darkness. Where most saw Jack as their savior, for me it was Pitch.
One day, I hope to write a redemption fic that will do him justice. But until then, I have my art to show off my love for this character, both for his past and present self.

Basically a rewriting of the movie if Pitch and Jack had gotten to know each other beforehand. A slow burn that’s SO worth it. And has one of my favorite scenes of Pitch struggling to find Jack’s tooth box. 🤣

I wrote and recorded a song to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Rise of the Guardians! @rotgoc-celebrations
I wrote this back in 2013 to try and capture all the positive feelings the film gave me. This is just a demo, I wanted to fully orchestrate it but my MIDI keyboard stopped working sooooo simplified string quartet arrangement it was. 🥲💔
I’ve thanked William Joyce, Peter Ramsey, DreamWorks, Alexandre Desplat and David Lindsay-Abaire for inspiring this but I also have to thank @aleikats for single-handedly keeping the ROTG fandom alive and indirectly reminding me to do something about this idea that I’ve been sitting for omg 9 years wow.

10 years. . .
10 years of re-finding... of what dreams we used to have when we were young; having also the hope to keep on moving even during the worst of fearful times in this generation. And the wonder that we thought we once lost once we grew old.. and all thanks to the memories of such.
10 years since then I came across Rise of the Guardians, the books, and brought me here.
While I may not roleplay really much in the rotg verse, my muses story connected to it still stays. It was his birth place, how his chapter started, and will continue such even with new beginnings with fusing with other fandom universes.
I’m 31 years old now, and the imagination within me still grow a bit stronger.
