For a methyl group, this makes the axial orientation about 7.28 kJ/mol higher in energy and so, at room temperature and at equilibrium, about 95% of these molecules would have the methyl group in the equatorial orientation (figure 16.15).

Do people actually keep their homes at “room temperature” (20°C / 70°F) in winter? That seems totally reasonable for summer but insane for winter.

room temptress water hits different during the night. I feel like some lost pilgrim finally reaching his holy shrine when I down like three gallons of water that has been sitting out for weeks, but only if it's two minutes past three.

I hate when people say "room temperature"
Just say the exact degrees please, because "room temperature" is way too subjective, because everyone has/prefers different temperatures for their rooms
For example "room temperature" can be 17 degrees celcius, but it can also be 22 degrees celcius, that's a very big difference that should not be ignored

The purple color of the gas above iodine crystals in a closed container (figure 7.17) provides visible evidence that this solid also sublimes at room temperature (∆subH = 62.4 kJ/mol).

One thing about me is that I want my "cold beverages" at room temperature.
Ice tea or soft drinks? Keep the ice cubes away from me
Iced coffee or a milkshake? I let that bitch sit for 1 or 2 hours to melt. Fuck it, if I'm feeling impatient I'll microwave it.
Chocolate milk? I warm it up just to let it cool down until it's room temperature
I am who I am
