How would you discern when traumatic events such as incest and SA are romantcized/fetishized in a piece of fiction vs not and would you say said fetishization takes away from the overall message? i.e. sexual violence being depicted as bad because a villain is the perpetrator, but also written or drawn in a way the author clearly finds erotic, etc?
i'll be honest i think this line of enquiry is inane and most often reactionary lol. i can't take the word "romanticisation" seriously at all

❦❧ A/N: I did my best with my first Tumblr writing, hope y’all enjoy!
❦❧ Summary: Elysia drags you along for a walk, and it turns into a cute outing.
Spring had just rolled around the corner, and the new life was beginning to peek out from the melting snow blankets. You had spent months in the little office inside your house during the winter. The fresh spring grass was a warm welcome in comparison to the cold and frigid winter.
Sitting at the desk, you lifted your head to look out the window and enjoy the view.
"Hi~" A sweet voice interrupted your thoughts, and you turned your head. A smile turned your lips up. Elysia's head poked just around the corner of the door, and she swung herself around the frame and entered.
Elysia walked right up to you and wrapped her arms around your neck, then proceeded to leave a quick boop on your nose. "Hey, Ellie," You responded back. "What's up?"
"Well, I was thinking we should go for a walk! ♪" Her voice was so enthusiastic and excited, your heart melted and you couldn't help but agree. "Well..."
"Pleeeeaseee?"
You chuckled and ruffled her hair. "Alright, let's go." Within less than a second, she was already dragging you towards the door. Elysia was wearing a light sweater with a scarf, and she tossed you a sweater too. "Come on!"
The air was still a little brisk outside, but Elysia tightly held your hand in hers. Butterflies and bees fluttered about, landing on flowers, collecting nectar. Elysia was skipping about and fawning over all the baby animals with their mothers.
Bunnies hopped around and Elysia took photos. Squirrels ran around? Elysia took photos. You chuckled in amusement as she took photos of basically every cute animal. Following behind with your hands in your pockets. Something caught the edge of Elysia's eye, and she tugged your hand to go look.
"Hm? What is it?"
She didn't respond, but instead pulled you past the trees. "Look!" You focused your eyes to the bright sun rays, and a big field of colour filled your gaze. "Woah..." Tulips, daisies, dandelions, hundreds of different flowers were scattered around. Elysia looked over to you and put her hands on her hips.
"Let's make flower crowns!" She sat down in a grassy spot, careful not to crush anything. Elysia quickly got to work picking a plethora of flowers and gently weaving the stems together. You sat down right beside her and picked some flowers of your own, pink and blue tulips to match her eyes and hair.
You and Elysia spent a long time sitting beneath the bright sky just laughing and making flower crowns. You proudly held up the crown of flowers and coronated Elysia with it. "What do you think?"
She smiled and hugged you tightly. "It's pretty, just like you, y/n~"

Okay since it's Nalu day, I might as well confess to something.
My hatred of Nalu as pretty much gone.
I started taking pics of the two of them together last year on ps4 game but this year I started making them more romantc. I started enjoying it alot and found them cute. Along with that I made my Sims couple cosplay as Nalu again. I'm supposed to hate the ship but why am I doing this? Truth is, I've started to sort of ship them. I still hate all the icky stuff but I enjoy the rest. Dragon Cry is actually rather beautiful at times with Nalu scenes.
So I'm going to ship them from now on, don't expect me to be number 1 fan but I'll admit when a scene is cute :)
