Can I ask your top 10 fav fics ever (from any fandom, if you don't mind)?
Also, just curious, is there a story behind your name "akaashism"?
This is always such a hard question to answer, because I have categories of favourite fics that are mutually exclusive and equally important 😭 I can't possibly choose between them. There are also some mindblowing fics I love for a controversial ship that I do not wish to disclose on this account 😅
Therefore, this list consists of fics I have read post-2020 which have had a big impact on me in some way and will always be a part of me! It's by no means exhaustive and is arranged randomly.

anon: This author told a Soulmate story with a canon divergence and made it AU all at the same time. Not only that, while it does have an MCD, the author has a happy ending that…well, gotta love that “soulmate magic” because while it does have an MCD, this story has not let me down when I need to feel the bad and read the good.
ManBatman: I tend to stay away from stories with an MCD, but when I saw that this was a Soulmate story too, I decided to read it especially when it said happy ending, despite the MCD. Happy endings can be subjective, but I can tell the author loves the Henry and Alex because as much as they lean into the drama, and live up to the mcd tag, they still pay off the happy ending in a way that definitely reminds me why soulmate stories are my favorite.

Tabitha: The first story and the series as a whole, of Baseball Boyfriends, always is just the perfect read for me. Angst and joy, love and patience and acceptance of others and one’s self and never leaves me feeling left wanting when I read this series at least once a month!

@mudbloodpotter05: This is such a crazy story and one of the first ever RWRB stories that I read in the fandom. Each chapter has a different fanfiction trope, and leans into what we love about fanfiction in the first place and just how outlandish and fun a story can be all the while telling a compelling story that has some angst, but also provides that lightness that comes with a happy ending
@three-drink-amy: It is the ultimate love letter to fanfiction and rwrb! So fun and well done!

ooft, okay. there's probably more than this but the following have major character death warnings that could very well be classed as angsty lmao:
i wrote this little ficlet: Gone (SVU, bensler/EO) in which a raid goes wrong and it's just pain from start to finish and then there's Until Long After She Takes Her Final Breath which is a Good Girls/brio fic in which their reunion at the beginning of season 3 goes very differently.
Why don't we go to Venus? is another Good Girls/brio fic in which the summary is: Rio killed her and that was supposed to be the end of it but Beth doesn’t seem to be done with him quite yet.
that one is probably my angstiest overall but the ending is probably the least angsty bit about it??? haha
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
honestly? i have no idea and i have no clue how to check 😭😂
8. Do you get hate on fics?
there was someone going around the SVU/OC fandom leaving weird hate comments on people's stuff (anonymously) and i got one but while it felt rude, it didn't feel like hate, but also it felt like it was supposed to be hateful, y'know? pretty sure i just deleted it though (i for sure ignored it) 😂
but generally, no. i'm lucky to say that i tend to avoid hate on social media and that includes fanfiction.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
i have done and the variety isn't huge but it's there? i guess?
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
i have done! beyond the obvious (where shows, etc share worlds), i did a boondock saints/the walking dead one (which was also co-written) because norman reedus stars in both 😂

yes! the aforemention boondock saints/the walking dead fic was co-written on ff.net and i co-wrote (with the same person), a fast and furious fic.
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
i lost myself a ton in writing olivia/elliot from svu/organized crime as well as beth/rio from good girls so they'd probably battle it out for top spot.
BUT
if i'm being brutally honest, my all time favourite ever to write were fast and furious ships 😂 especially the OGs (specifically vince and leon) with my OCs (although there were canon ships i loved to write too!). it was just so fun and freeing and i constantly think about it.
(i also loved when i wrote random marvel/mcu pairings, winterwitch was probably my number one for them and again, i think about it a lot)
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
i think it's unlikely i'll finish a lot but especially a degree of separation. i kind of hate it, i'm so sorry 😭😭😭
16. What are your writing strengths?
the thought of analysing my own writing right now sounds painful but two of the most common nice things people tell me is that: 1) they like how i write dialogue and 2) they like my writing style in general
(but of which i highly appreciate!)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
i don't do it enough?
nah. true but seriously, there's a ton, however, i do tend to waffle on and write something in several sentences that could have been just one 😭
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I don't think i've ever done it? if i have it'll be dialogue or whatever that's already in the show/move/etc

still on ao3: it has to be Why don't we go to Venus? but also Knock First which is a Beth/Rio/Original Male Character threesome fic that was SO MUCH fun
no longer posted: a fic for The Fast and the Furious. it was a Vince/OC story. it was so much fun to write and it was one of my most popular back when i was posting on ff.net and i miss this story all the time (even though it's probably awful 😂) and always think about re-writing and posting it again on ao3

20 Questions For Writers
Didn’t actually get tagged on this, but it looked like a fun one. 🤣
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
AO3 says I have 24. Huh.
2. What is your total AO3 word count?
288,626 since I started in 2021, which seemed like a lot to me until I realized 179,551 of those belong to the second thing I ever wrote, a massive 4 part series covering from Rio’s resurrection to their inevitable HEA.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Veronica Mars brought me to AO3. The Punisher (Kastle) made me think for the first time about writing prompts, but it was the Good Girls (Brio) fandom that finally got me to put the proverbial pen to paper.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Yes! I try to, at least. Sorry if I’ve missed any, sometimes I lose track of the notification emails.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ooh, definitely Enemy of My Enemy. Hardest fic for me to finish. Not fluffy. No HEA. Rio is aaaaaangry.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hmm… there’s a lot to choose from cause I looooove a soft, fluffy Brio. If you can slog through the 4 part series, it covers the most ground, ending years after the show. It’s loosely based on canon to start, but veers off.
8. Do you get hate on your fics?
Hmm… Not really. Luckily just one I can think of. A vague accusation that all my ideas were suspiciously like a lot of other ones on AO3… except those other writers did it way better. 🤷🏻♀️ I blocked them and figured if anything, it meant I’d finally “made it”. 😂
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I try to. I aim for the kind I think people will enjoy reading, but I often alternate between worrying it’s either a little too cheesy, or over the top.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I don’t, but I would never say never. There are some I would *love* for other people to write, though. Karen Page (Punisher) and Steve Rogers (Captain America)… Intrepid reporter interviews national hero after the Battle of New York. Neither are looking for anything, but sparks fly. Anyone? Anyone??? 🤣
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I don’t think so?
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No, but wouldn’t it be awesome if AO3 had a button that would do that automatically?
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Again, no. I won’t say it would never happen, but I’m a bit of a lone wolf writer. Strict deadlines, etc are tough for me, so I think I’d find a co-writing situation very stressful.
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
It has to be Brio. 🥰
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
This is a tough one. I don’t tend to release fics until they’re finished, so I don’t have any orphaned stories out there crying out for a happy ending. I do have a dozen or so ideas that are in various stages of completion. Some are almost done(ish), so I suspect the ones that are less likely to get finished are the ones that are literally a sentence fragment… barely a complete idea. I mean, they’re great random scattered thoughts, but… Yeah.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I’ve been told my Brio characterizations are good.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Hmmm… Dialogue and smut. My descriptions aren’t bad, but my writing style isn’t as “flowy” as I’d sometimes like.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I’m not bilingual, so if I include another language in a fic I tend to keep it fairly short and straightforward to lessen the chance of getting it wrong.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Good Girls. First and only.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
I don’t mind rereading (most of) my own stuff. I have a special soft spot for ones where Brio interacts with the kids, like Smarter Than Your Average Gang Friend (Rio gets shown up by the Jane), and In Sickness (Jane’s sick and Rio shows Beth an uncharacteristic kindness).

8. How did you come up with the title to The City Never Sleeps?
The truth is, I'm so bad at titles! Unless I can pull a line from a song or something I'm just at a loss. I had spent 3 months writing this fic and I really wanted to post the first chapter and I was just struggling for a title.
The story is about Daniel giving Lestat a tour of New York, showing him the places that he and Armand spent a lot of time in the 70s, and New York is the City That Never Sleeps.... so.. uh... that's what I used. I'm not sure it's the best title but it works!
17. What's a book, movie, or show you think Marius would like?
Okay, so I think about this a lot because I think about his time with Daniel in Rio/Norway/at Court and how Daniel spends time catching up on shows he missed from the 90s, and how they probably spend a lot of quiet time together on the couch watching movies or TV. I think Daniel probably started watching Star Trek: The Next Generation but Marius enjoys it, too, because of the moral questions a lot of the episodes pose. They probably spend a lot of time discussing the ethical dilemmas after an episode finishes.
I also think--hear me out--he would dig Mythbusters. Marius is a curious person who likes stuff that makes you think. And a show that tests common myths and debunks things seems right up his alley.
23. Has your favourite character/ship changed over time?
I answered this here but also I will say that one of the cool things about fandom is how you're always exposed to new takes and reads and thoughts on things, and so I feel like my ideas about my favorites evolve and change over time, too. And even if I often stubbornly cling to some of my fanon, I enjoy hearing how others see things differently, and sometimes I do shift my views or change my mind.

Heyyyyyyy lovely how are you? Read any good fic lately?
Hello my dear! The answer to this is always of course, though I've been pinwheeling through different pairings and fandoms (though what else is new) because I haven't had a hyperfixation since Good Omens :(
I'll list a few from different recent fandoms. My bookmarks tend to be more mature or explicit ratings and longer fics because I love a good established dynamic
Mystrade (Mycroft Holmes x Greg Lestrade from BBC Sherlock)
I've been reading for these two since October now so there's definitely a few for them.
Paperback Writer by meansgirl
Rated E and totaling 82 265 words, this was an awesome fic where it's technically still canonverse only Greg is secretly an erotica author who just so happens to be Mycroft's favourite. So then of course Mycroft finds out.
Human Remains by Saziikins
This series lives in my head rent free and is so wonderful. It's canon compliant and a very slow burn of Mycroft and Greg getting together and then making a relationship work. Rated E, it's got 3 works in it and totals around 900k words, but the second work is a retelling of the first from Mycroft's POV instead of Greg's.
Pater Noster by manic_intent
Another rent free series, this one is Mystrade but set in the Good Omens universe where Mycroft is a high ranking demon and Greg a lower tier angel. So of course after being brought together a very human Sherlock, they fall in love. Eventually. I adored every bit of it, there's 3 works numbering at 26k words and it's so much fun.
Which brings me to some other recent goodies....
Ineffable Husbands (Crowley x Aziraphale from Good Omens)
Ah, my beloveds. I only listed three here but I have a ton of bookmarks saved for them that I am only too happy to share, should anyone need some recs

Rated E and about 8k words, this is set post season 2 and is Aziraphale and Crowley's reunion and apology.

Some snippets of Aziraphale and Crowley over the years. Historical fics for these two are some of my favorites and this fic takes us through some great moments to post season one. Super cute, rated M and nearly 20k words.
post-professional endeavors by darcylindbergh
A look at Aziraphale and Crowley figuring themselves out in retirement, as told from the POV of their poor realtor and other humans involved. I love outsider POV fics and this was top tier. Rated T and about 9k words, it was extremely cute.

What Spring Does with the Cherry Trees by riosnecktattoo
If you're in the NBC Good Girls fandom you'll probably already know this author, because everything they write is phenomenal, but this fic was lovely. A friends to lovers AU for Beth and Rio that still kept the original characterizations, I can't recommend it enough. Rated E, about 77k words.
Curse of the Green Hag by Moorishflower
A Xedgin fic for DND: Honour Among Thieves. It's a fuck or die curse fic with just enough plot for me to be invested. Edgin is great, Xenk is great, and the smut is great. Enough said. Rated E, 16k+ words.
The Veretian Flytrap by Just_Another_Day
A Dament fic for the Captive Prince fandom, this fic is a great twist on the canon story if Damen and Laurent were an Alpha/Omega pairing. Super in character and has all the greatness of the trilogy itself, I loved it. Rated E (obviously) and is 176k+ words.

I recently recieved amazing long comments on my Jemily series and I think they might be my most favourite. Also Jaz's comment on Mercy and the ones where people ask me for more smut because they're so funny.
What is your wildest headcanon?
I wrote a crack fic the other day where Seven drank a Big Gulp without taking a breath so I guess that one.
What’s your ideal writing setup?
Somewhere cosy and no noise.
Do you like to outline your fic first or create as you go?
Depends. For multi-chapter I usually try and have an outline or basis. usually just go with the flow and what kind of fic it is.
Have a piece of a WIP you want to share?
“What, and I’m not important enough for you to want to stay?” Raffi shoots back, picking at her nails.
The hand that’s gripping the page of the book in her lap moves quick enough that it rips it before she snaps the book shut loudly. A pang of regret fills her chest at the fact that this is one of Raffi’s books but her frustration takes over everything else.
“Stop putting words in my mouth, Raffi.” Seven stands to walk away. “When have I ever said you aren’t important? If I didn’t want to be here I wouldn’t come.”
“You’ve never said I am important!”

Only if I'm trying to read a specific fic i've read before. I usually just scroll through all the fics til I find one I want to read again.

Both. Writing is cathartic and helps me get out my messy thoughts but also I love sharing things with others.

Stupid dumb characters in my head /affectionate, and talking to others.

Usually if its needed. And it's usually for small little things.

Probably in the middle. But I'll read near enough anything tbh.

I usually focus on one character within a relationship with the relationship surrounding it.

It depends on the vibe tbh. Sometimes it flows a lot easier than others. I do have to write from a giving position usually though otherwise its hard af lmao.
Is it easier to write angst or fluff?
Angst. I never feel like I get fluff right honestly.
What sort of endings do you prefer to write: ambiguous, bad, happily ever after, etc.?
Happy endings even if everythings gone to shit before. Except Before the Sunrise but that's an outlier. Sometimes I'll do ambiguous or bad but I tend to need the happy endings to make me feel better haha.
How many WIPs do you currently have?
Oh no...I don't even want to count. Ones that are written that don't include multichapters? Maybe 5? MC's and just ideas included thats probably in the teens honestly.
Does anyone beta read or edit your fics?
Bestie Blaine is always the best beta and makes my stuff make sense <3
Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend?
If I had to choose one fic, it would have to be Foundations. Authors, alreadyaccepted, smol_yellowbumblebee, ericine, daxs10thhost, bimichaelburnham, sleeplessrivers, dolcewrites, fenrisranger, thequeerengineer, sgtmac, falltonadir...okay just everyone in the Saffi/Picard tag okay <3
What led to your interest in the fandom?
My partner got me watching the first season of Picard and there were gays so, the rest is history I guess.
Are non-fandom friends aware that you write fanfic?
I am quite open about it haha.
What is the most impactful lesson you’ve learned about writing?
Reading other people's fics and interacting with them is the best way to enchance your own writing.
Do you like writing short fics or long fics?
I love writing long fics but lately that's been an impossible struggle and I've felt kinda like a failure. Last year I wrote something like 70 fics because I did a lot of drabbles. This year I want to focus on longer fics and I have quite a few ideas stored up.
Do you have a writing milestone you’re working towards?
It depends. Sometimes i can look at a chapter and I'll guess how long it is (and then it'll be longer) but I usually go with the flow.
Any advice for writers working through burnout or writer’s block?
As someone who just got out of burnout, its to try something new. I started With Love, A which is a totally different format from what I've done before and it's really brought me out of the slump. Also talking through things with other people is always great.
Would you ever want to write something canon if you got the opportunity?
I would like to make my own canon someday haha.
Is there a favorite trope you like to write?
Hurt/comfort is my beloved.
If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER(S)? I actually don't have a set OTP for Corvus at least not canonically. (I did at one point but tbh it's mostly something that stays outside of tumblr and written on discord with someone only because I don't like anyone feeling like that's why I'm writing with their character.)
HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE? With Corvus ranging from 20-26 in all of their verses, I'd say even 18 is pushing it if they're 26 in the verse it's happening in, but I'm not unwilling as long as the muse is 18+. However, ages older than them don't bother me in the slightest it's just rare they attract to someone much older than them. If it happens it happens.
HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW? Honestly, I tend to consider even heavy petting nsfw to be tagged just for the sake of others but I believe stuff considered nsfw doesn't have to be sexual. It can be anything more gory or violent in general. But anything going beyond that in sexual terms I've never written with anyone other than with my best friend through discord so I can't exactly definitively say what I consider that to be. So just. Baseline I guess LMAO.
ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING? That depends! I'm not exactly super selective when it comes to it as long as our characters possibly have some type of chemistry to work with. Like I don't mind shipping characters who seem to hate each other because that's how every good enemies to lovers or enemies to friends plot starts, but if they obviously don't have even a speck of attraction to or willingness to get along with each other that's obviously where it would fall through. I'm usually fairly easy going about it though, it just takes some talking about it because of how Corvus can be in terms of trusting others depending on the verse.
WHO ARE OTHER CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH? @poeticphoenix Genesis and @poisonpicked Rio comes to mind automatically because those are just. Chef kiss. And of course I will always feel lovingly obligated to mention @prismpowa Corvus' best friend @pluviacuratio a friend that Corvus trusts. And tbh so far Corvus is happy to have Nia as their 3 AM gaming buddy in their villain verse @sleepdeprxved.
DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU? Asking is usually appreciated, but if your muse is simply acting how your muse does and it happens naturally I'm always good with that too. Of course I might eventually I'm gonna crawl over to you to discuss it if my anxiety allows me, but 9 times out of 10 if you ship the thing I probably ship the thing. If you want to send the meme then send the meme etc. I tend to just go with the flow on it so if you burst aggressively into my DMs I'm likely to just "yes".
ARE YOU SHIP OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS? Ship more-or-less. I say that confidently because even if I am easy going about making connections for Corvus, I'm here simply to have fun and write as well as to enjoy writing them with others. Even if nothing comes out of an interaction with someone, it was still an important in terms of developing the character and I still had fun. That's what matters at the end of the day. Our muses don't have to form a bond for us to enjoy writing together, and on that note, they especially don't have to form a positive one. Enemies are always welcome for them to be a little shit to.
ARE YOU MULTISHIP? Yes! I don't really have any desire to limit them there. There isn't really much I have to say about that either besides the only time I wouldn't multiship is if a verse called for it and it felt right.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM? I don't really have any favorite ships in Corvus' main verse fandom and tbh I barely have any within any of the fandoms for their other verses. I've never been someone who was big on shipping canon characters all that much. It's not that I dislike it, but I've never really been struck with the interest to do so. I usually get so focused on the plot that my brain doesn't exactly think about pairing the characters. The most I've been hit with shipping characters is... well, here.

If This is Goodbye (ST:AOS)- a canon-compliant Pike/Boyce story set around Star Trek into Darkness, it makes people cry. Hell, it still makes me cry.

Done With Bonaparte (ST:AOS) The Pike/Boyce story that is an alternate ending to Into Darkness, defies canon and lets Chris live.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not so far and I've been doing this for decades.

Smut is pretty much my go to genre. My entire Weight of a Man Series is a glorious smut fest - with a lot of relationship-building. I am a little more into hurt/comfort right now, but there is a lot of smut built into the "comfort" part.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I do not, I generally can't write in more than one fandom at a time and now that I find myself equally obsessed with ST:Picard and The Musketeers I can't honestly figure out a way to do a crossover with them (I know, failure of imagination).

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
My very first foray into fan fiction (long before the internet) was a round-robin story with three school friends that we kept going for five years (I still have the notebooks). It was based on The Quest - a very short lived US Western series with a gorgeous young Tim Matheson and equally cute Kurt Russell.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
If you look at my output it's clearly Pike/Boyce (ST:AOS). And they will always be my boys. But right now I'm all things Aramis and Aramis-in-space which has me shipping Rios/Shaw and Aramis/Athos and I think that will sustain my writing for quite a while.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I really don't like to abandon stories and that's why until recently I never posted anything until it was finished. So anything I have started on AO3 will get finished eventually. However, I have stuff in my WIP folder that might never see the light of day, including an early-career Pike/Boyce that is mostly written.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Details, I do details really well, I like to feel immersed in a place or a situation and I do that by giving as many details as feel appropriate for the story. Sometimes that requires a lot of research, especially for Star Trek, but it all adds to the texture of the story.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Adjectives - I use too many of them. I also have a tendency to have way too many run on sentences. Sometimes that's necessary for the pacing of the story, but I always consciously look for them when I'm editing so I can see if I can rework them to be more manageable.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I've only really started doing this with Aramis/Rios and I still don't do much of it, just to make a point. The context usually provides clues to the meaning, and if not then I write the meaning into the text somewhere.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
First - The Quest, and Blake's 7 - For public consumption, Star Trek AOS (first on Livejournal and then AO3)
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Winged Desires and Veiled Persuasions (ST:AOS) Pike/Boyce/McCoy I wrote it in a gift-exchange for my fabulous beta, and it just came together and works in a way that stories rarely do. It's a perfect little threesome smut-fest with lots of feelings.

Mm, MOST is hard... maybe a tie btwn: i. how compelling AND frustrating the source material is (much to mine!!!) & ii. the company -- ive def found it v welcoming & indeed was inspired to write/share in part by authors’ notes encouraging ppl to do so <3

The way grandma got that far away expression talking about her own sister, it’d been obvious, even back into earliest days, that she could be gripped by that nameless hovering cloud rio'd eventually come to shorthand as grief, and--
His head shakes, as if from a loose vice.
Well, he always wanted her to be -- cheered.
So he went along with it. Those claims of hers to his and Nick’s similarities, surface and otherwise. Though maybe, he contends with a snort, some of those were actually wailing cries for ophthalmological help.
Cos there’s an ironic refrain slipping through memories, as if it's fluttering against pages of the books featuring there: what words she’d snap when catching him with a clunky flashlight under the covers past bedtime.
Perhaps the line between hypocrisy and insight must always be a wobbly one.
It's not that they much shared tastes in the realm of reading. Oh, he'd tried at her mysteries, first petulantly powered by the decree they were maturer than he, but still mostly found those stories dull at best.
No, he was drawn to the ones with magic. And adventure! Where all wasn’t what it seemed, and simplest -- banal, everyday -- explanations could be countered, possibly overturned. Attracted to the notion that cheat codes of a more exciting (miraculous, even) life were scattered; ripened for the take. The memories make him squirm internally for how hopelessly cliché such a preference seems now, little beyond an innocent yearning for: better.
Believing, fingers crossed, that a person could step sideways, through some foggy firmament and just... Something. Twist all on its head, or at least unhaze one’s own to find the clarion truth of the world. He’d known, or no. That's over-strong. Had felt though, with desperate triumph, there was -- more.
Not solely in general; but for himself.
Once upon a ways back, widest-sensed, he’d kept a near-constant antenna out for clocks striking thirteen, for hidden passages, and the true shape to stuff in the shadows, cos -- cos he thought there’d be answers.
And -- it was useful in its way, rio insists inward, jaw clicking.
That's what got him watching. For the weird. The underground. The -- portals, really.
Watching to wanting was barely a leap. Opportunity sung at a pitch his marrow vibrated to.
He found those routes hungered over then, ultimately. Might be now leaning onto a wooden surface with lightly aching shoulders, but he ain't stuck behind a desk, nor out continually backbreaking. Sure the course was twisted, via exuberant arrogance and with blind trust biting its lessons, but maybe, charitably... That is simply how it had to go.
Rio sighs and focuses hard on focusing, making an effort to preclude his reality from fracturing outward that way it’s liked to, circling on ancient recollections which untether further -- drowning him in past problems and neat notions which oughta be far journeyed beyond by now. His eyes fix on the dirty wooden frame as he attempts to prevent the further skirting of his thoughts, as well as sights.
Next those are skipping over the dusty mirror’s surface, flashes splintering in between each slow yet dartish blink.

Favourite fic/series you’ve ever written
It’s hard to pick just one favorite anything, because I’m indecisive like that lol But tbh most things I’ve posted are stories I’m really pleased with (the ones I'm not never see the light of day), so I’ll pick a favorite series and three favorite fics in no particular order:
My favorite series is Second Chances (Desire & Decorum AU!)
I came up with the idea of a Desire & Decorum - contemporary AU! in 2019 and it was inspired by @lorirwritesfanfic series Meant to Be (which is one of my favorite fics ever in the Choices fandom!). I love writing everything in this universe, and all the interactions between Hamid (who is no longer a prince, but a Turkish diplomat), and Elizabeth (the daughter of an Earl and a Brazilian opera singer, who was raised in Rio de Janeiro and moved to London to start a new chapter of her life) are just so fun and amazing to develop. The story has some of my favorite tropes: slow burn, friends-to-lovers, mutual pining (idiots in love) etc.
Favorite fics:
1. Run to you (Desire & Decorum)
It’s a one-shot featuring my OTP Prince Hamid x Lady Elizabeth, and it was inspired by one of Prince Hamid’s lines after meeting MC in chapter 5 (Desire and Decorum Book 1) and it's in Hamid's POV.
2. If I fell (Desire & Decorum AU!)
It’s a one-shot set in my Second Chances universe with my ultimate OTP in a contemporary setting, just being cute and having fun together while jogging at Hyde Park.
3. Heart in a cage (Blades of Light and Shadow)
I absolutely adore writing Tyril Starfury and Arwen (f!Elf!MC). Their interactions are so fun, and in this one has slow burn, flirting, tending to wounds and blushing Tyril.
That one fic/series you poured your heart & soul into
Definitely The Pursuit of Happiness (Desire & Decorum) is the series I poured my heart & soul into.
It’s a Desire & Decorum fanfic, pairing Prince Hamid x Lady Elizabeth and it was my first time ever writing fanfic and the first time writing a fictional story in a very long time, and it was so much fun (and overwhelming and stressful at times), but it allowed me to interact with so many wonderful people in the fandom and their support motivated me to complete the series and encouraged me to keep on writing.
Another one that could be mentioned is a one-shot called Like Poetry (Blades of Light and Shadow)
I really like this one because it portrays a relationship between an elf, who can live centuries, and a human, and it allowed me to explore many subjects regarding mortality and if there's a place for heroes after their quests, and writing in Tyril’s POV was also very special.
One underrated fic/series of yours you’d recommend
I don't know if I could say any fic is really underrated, I don't have that many followers and don't write for the most popular books and characters, but if I did have to pick one, I’d would say it's Is this Love? (Desire & Decorum).
It's mostly a pre-canon/pre-Desire & Decorum Book 1 story, and it follows Elizabeth Thompson in her journey to become Lady Elizabeth of Edgewater. I adored writing the scenes with her mother and specially the friendship with Briar, and it's definitely one I'd recommend.
And I don’t know if I can call it underrated, because it’s a new series and the fandom is very quiet these past months, but the miniseries Safe (Wake the Dead) is one I'd recommend the reading. Troy Hassan is the main character and most chapters and scenes are pre-canon and pre-WTD. It's been so interesting to write a post-apocalyptic world and specially to develop a story though the eyes of a child who will grow up in this New World.
