We've talked about the romance of Armand and Daniel hunting together in the rain, but what about in the snow?
The crunch of snow under their shoes, Daniel slipping on ice because he's wearing converse instead of anything with a grip on its sole and Armand catching him so he doesn't fall. Daniel running his fingers through Armand's hair to melt the snowflakes that have stuck to his auburn locks.
The cold quiet as they move together down the street, Daniel distracted by the beauty of snow glittering on a windowsill. Armand throwing a snowball at him to get his attention back.
The heat of the blood in stark contrast with the chilly air. The way a smattering of crimson blood looks on white snow. The warmth of their blood-warmed hands clasped together as they walk home.

My HC about Marius' proposal to Pandora's father is neither "Marius wanted to marry a child and consummate the marriage immediately" nor "Marius wanted to prolong his unmarried state by being betrothed with a child" but a secret third thing (a man who was secretly very lonely among people he could not bond with saw a kin spirit and wanted to make this person his family, whatever form it takes).
(Looking back to the first time I read Pandora's book, I think I always saw it this way. I just never bothered to put this feeling into words.)

One of the many reasons in an endless list of reasons as to why I love Louis more than anything or anyone, is cause he's such a cunty bitch. A sad one, but I digress. He really is a mean girl at heart, don't let his sad boi exterior fool you. I will also die on this hill when I say that he loves gossip, not starting it or even actively partaking in spilling tea to other people. No, I fully believe that he loves hearing about the latest drama going around. (not that he'd ever admit it of course. Constantly denying it because gossiping is 'uncivil' or whatever) Say for example, if someone came to him asking "did you hear about what 'so and so' did to 'whoever else'?" or something like that, Louis would be like "no, it's none of my business. Besides I don't like gossip". But when said other person goes to tell Louis about it, he'll act like he's uninterested but really this is the highlight of his evening.

Hit me with your post-canon Armand headcanons 👀👀 these I KNOW you must have
Christ, where to start? In no particular order (just as they come to mind):
🖤 he finds court boring and tedious (mostly bc people refuse to listen to him anytime something important is happening) and so he becomes obsessed with binge watching things to unwind. He take it streaming service by streaming service and break it down further by genre and media type (movie, TV show, documentary) until he's watched literally everything.
🖤 of course Benji has to alert him to the fact that streaming services remove and add new things all the time and so his weird sense of accomplishment is crushed.
🖤 it's at some point during all of this (during the start of his Hulu; Documentary; True Crime era) he learns about The BITE Model. It's the first night of his streamathon that he cuts the program off and turns in early for the evening, laying in his coffin just staring up at the lining as he thinks some things over until the sun comes up
🖤 I don't have a clear grasp on what it looks like, but he's apologized to Daniel for how things went down between them. Like, explicitly. Or as explicitly as he is capable.
🖤 he has dreams about Benedict. He refuses to allow them to make sense to him at first, but he knows deep down what the pain in his chest means that he feels when he wakes from one of these dreams
🖤 he and Marius have a tentative truce. There was obviously the honeymoon phase after Marius was rescued by Lestat, but once the shine had worn off from his Maker not actually being dead, he keeps him at an arms distance emotionally because he's waiting for Marius to admit all the ways in which he fucked up.
🖤 he always makes sure he's at Trinity Gate for Halloween. He doesn’t dress up, but he does pass out full sized candy bars to all the kids that ring the doorbell.

Kind of an unconventional headcanon but no one can convince me otherwise, so it doesn't matter: Armand, unironically, likes Kesha music. He loved her party anthems when he first discovered her, but he loves her more serious, artsy songs more because he relates to her story and struggle a lot.
Whenever he's really upset with any of the group (esp. Marius), he just locks himself up in his room and blasts Kesha music loud enough for the whole household to hear.

It is #Molloy Monday and I am here to remind you that Daniel is featured most from 1975-1985 aka the Sluttiest Era of Modern Male Fashion.
Coming in HOT we have the cut off short shorts and cropped t-shirt or mostly unbuttoned button down combo. Daniel visited some warm climates during the chase years so I invite you to picture him in the tiniest ripped jean shorts sweating over whether or not that auburn haired lady down the street is actually Armand!!
Or going into the 80s sometimes the tops were REALLY cropped and exposed midrift and back!! Like just picture Daniel fucking around on Night Island in this, wow wow!!
But even when the pants were long the t-shirts were TIGHT, maximum pec definition through the shirt was a must.
If he didn't wanna show that much skin? That was fine because turtlenecks where IN baby!! These are basically vampire lingerie imo, covering up the most succulent part of the neck but still leaving a hint exposed below the jaw?? Armand had to have been dying of thirst!!!
(Also when it says Armand came to pick Daniel up from jail in a lawyer's tweed suit? He wasn't wearing no modern cut, he'd have been rocking the big lapels because this was the 70s tyvm)
Also important to note was that the 70s were the era of glam rock and androgyny, so picking a silky button down that looks like a women's blouse? Totally okay for men, very in style so long as you leave the top buttons undone to expose maximum chest.
Btw velour? Was IN. This is the 1979 equivalent of a juicy couture tracksuit which Armand could have snuggled right into while they were living in London.
And while the 80s sees the rise of a looser fit, that doesn't mean the crop top died or that people weren't still rocking a more form fitted jean when they were feeling casual.
This photo is from NYC in 1983 and shows that tight t-shirts and short shorts were still very much alive, just styled a bit differently! A tight top and looser straight leg jeans, or short bottom and a flowy open top took the place of all fitted looks.
Or that the mostly unbuttoned button down went away- if anything in the 80s the buttons went even LOWER and more revealing. Paired with a boxy linen suit this is essential 80s Miami aka Night Island looks.

This sweater is loose but it's got the deep V neck and a sheer knit, perfect for the beach!!
And yeah this is Sapder AGAIN but note the half open shirt, leather jacket, and jeans that get tighter near the ankle!! Classic 80s, baggy but still sexy, A+.
I SWEAR this is the last time I'm gonna use and abuse him but peep the muscle tank with the DIY cut edges on the arm holes! V neck! 80s!!!
Basically the takeaway here is that if you're putting them in the 80s and having them rock something baggy and double denim, the look still featured a tight waistline and rolled sleeves or rolled ankles to tighten the jeans. It wasn't just baggy all over!!

I like to imagine that during the Trinity Gate era, Armand and Louis had a Christmas tree farm they liked to visit upstate to get their Christmas tree for Trinity Gate. It was one of those “cut your own tree” places which Armand found highly appealing. Every year at the start of December, they'd pile into one of Armand’s SUVs with Sybelle and Benji and go pick a tree. Then they'd doll it up with the kind of skill usually reserved for professional displays and put it in the front window for passersby to admire.
Armand refuses to let this tradition go even now, though sometimes when everyone else is at Court, it's just him and Daniel who go get the tree. Though occasionally Louis, Sybelle, and Benji will come home to make the trip. Sometimes they also bring Lestat, who argues with Armand about which tree to pick, and Marius, who doesn't really understand the appeal and usually remains at Trinity Gate to unpack the ornaments while they're out getting the tree.

I think about Armand telling Daniel that no other mortal had known his name a lot, because I don't think we get clarification on whether or not he keeps that rule after taking Daniel to be his companion, or if he essentially goes "oh well, cats already out of the bag, my name has been published in a book, and I'm trying to reconnect with the world anyway, so what the hell, may as well just go by Armand"
But I think it's far funnier to imagine that he continued to use aliases when speaking with mortals or conducting mortal business, because Daniel would absolutely take the opportunity to rush in and introduce Armand to whatever gaggle of students or artists or vagabonds or business men they've collected that night, with the silliest or most ill-fitting name he can think of.

I have this sweet headcanon of lestat and Louis reunited in the modern day, louis is a bit nervous and distant from Lestat but Lestat wouldn't give up proving that he would be better for Louis and try to mend his relationship. Yearsgo by and Lestat has become less vicious and impulsive which brings relief to Louis as Loyis starts to live has on passion in his life( no pun intended). They slowly bond again and end up married, as both guys changed and became better over time with themselves and in that relationship.

Headcanon:
Louis has a tendency to scratch/drag his nails on the palm of his hand any time he gets anxious, stressed or overwhelmed/overstimulated. It's a habit he's had since childhood as a way to deal with emotionally distressing situations without drawing too much attention to himself. He doesn't realise he's doing it half the time. If there's a gathering of some kind at the chateau and Louis can't avoid going to it, he gets overwhelmed and Lestat usually ends up taking his hand while still talking to whoever, to stop him from scratching himself.

I'm 100% dead serious about my Daniel writing erotic fiction as a hobby headcanon. So much so that I've put much thought into it and his 70s human AU equivalent writes it too. It has lots of monsterfucking, BDSM, and some of the dudes in his stories look suspiciously like Armand and Marius.
In the human AU, he has some of his stuff published under a pen name and Louis reads it secretly, not knowing that his friend Daniel wrote it. He really likes it but will he publicly discuss it?? Who knows.
