just remembered shows used to have 20-25 eps per season

genuinely i need a comic/prequel/whatever on ozai and iroh. firstly iroh is like 20 years older than him. why?? different moms?? clearly iroh would’ve been raised to be the heir for his entire life. why was iroh (even before lu ten’s death) so much calmer and understanding than ozai ever was? azulon clearly cared for iroh considering ozai’s request of replacing iroh as heir (even after iroh’s massive loss) made him mad enough to demand ozai to kill his own son as punishment. did iroh ever care for ozai?? did he watch him become a monster??? did zuko and azula remind him of his own sibling dynamic?? i always found it shocking how iroh, ever the understanding, seemed to draw the line at azula-she, at 14, was “beyond help” (i think her lack of guidance from healthy adult figures like iroh when compared to zuko was exactly why he was able to be “redeemed” and she wasn’t. did she remind iroh too much of his own prodigious younger sibling?)
