Weekly Affirmation! One of the major things I realized when things were going terrible for me, when I didn’t get a break, when things weren’t going the way I expected it or life wasn’t giving me a fair shot, was my language. My Language? Yes my language. How I spoke, the words I used and the constant phrases I would say to my self was my language and my language was all negative! See, we all affirm things, every minute of every day! And if we really paid attention we would realize how negative our language actually is. “I am going to be late!” “There’s no good men out there.” “The world is chaotic.” “I will never get the job I want.” “That will never happen.” “I hope I don’t get sick.” “Great things never happens to me.” “People that look like me or come from where I come from will never be wealthy.” Or “Bad things happens to good people.” All these are affirmation that you are sending to the Universe as if you were asking for these things directly and you are. When I decided to change my life, it was important that I changed my language. No matter the circumstances or situations, I do my best to affirm what I want not what I don’t want. While most people affirm what they don’t want and get just that! You can find out for yourself. Start affirming what you want and see how crazy people will think you are. I have even got slack from family members, thinking I was living in a dream world, not understanding that I was creating a dream world that I would be living in. “Life is good to me!” “I always get what I want.” “I am a money magnet.” “I surround myself with good people.” “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” “I am handsome!” “I am Rich!” “People love what I bring to the table.” “Everyday is a great day!” “I drive my dream car!” Say this often and people will think you are crazy if you are not in a situation that validates it. But stay the course, watch what you say and affirm what you want. When did you find yourself and I always wished I could tell them that it was in this flash of light or something epic but it was when I finally realized and understood one simple concept. I do not control what others think of me I do not control the weather I do not control the President I do not control the State of the Union I do not control society as a whole I do not control other people I do not control the Stars and the Moon I do not control the Universe I do not control the financial system I do not control the markets And I do not control my employers. I can only control how I think, how I speak and my daily habits. See I started to ask myself, “why am I spending so much time and energy focusing and complaining about things I couldn’t control and never will?” From there I just spent every day focusing and putting energy into bettering myself because that is the only thing I can do. I remember watching a movie scene that I thought was very impactful and was such a great representation of life and how we shift our energy. It was from The Divergent Trilogy. When the girl had to face her evil self and the more she fought, the stronger her evil self became until she realized the more angry she got the more it fueled her enemy so she decided to stop fighting. Instead of continuing to push against her opposition. She made peace with it and instantly her evil self, lost all of its power. Life is energy and what ever you put your personal energy towards gets bigger in your life. And whatever you resist persist. So, at one point I had to realize as well, whatever I was angry or frustrated at, didn’t go away, all it did was increase in my life experience. It wasn’t until I made peace with people that lie, people that hurt, people that corrupt or situations that are not ideal. As soon as I made peace with their existence, their appearance started to disappear from my existence. What is given shall be received. Even, if I feel justified in my aggression toward someone or something, it only adds fire to the fire, only when I add water will the fire cease. Unknowingly, we make bad situations worse from our lack of understanding that our energy and focus is powerful. When we make peace with our surroundings, that is the moment when our surroundings makes peace with us. The truth of the matter is this! I have been to many seminars and listened to 100 of speeches, read tons of books and listen to 1000s of audios of self development and it all comes down to this. Self-Realization. Who are you? What do you believe? And what are you willing to stand for? These questions are not ones you can answer in a split second. There not something that your parents, friends or employers can answer for you. The only person who can is you. Many believe their bank account is a certain way because of an outside circumstance, which is rarely the case, it depends on your level of awareness to these questions and how deep can you go inside to answer them? Same for relationships, health and happiness. A shallow mind produces a shallow result while a deeper mind produces deeper results. If you can only see the trees in front of you. You will miss the forest behind them and at the same time if you can see the forest in its totality, you can see not only the trees, but all of the leaves and barks it contains for you. In other words, your level of thinking, level of beliefs and level of willingness to take action will determine your circumstances. If you would like to grow your bank account, your relationship status, your health or your level of happiness. You must go deeper inside yourself to pull it out into reality. I am on the path? We all are. The only difference is some of us don’t realize it, or some are walking towards the opposite direction but either way we can get off the path. What is the path? It is your own personal journey in life. It is the path leading us to the best version of ourselves. It is the particular circumstances, the particular people and the particular environment that is shaping us to become the person we are destined to be.
