Baki:

• Oh, the boy is down. He basically has no type, but he is not indifferent to such girls.

• Super helpful. Can't you reach for something? He will help. Even though he is also not tall. He'll bring a chair.

Hanayama:

Baki is a mischievous one himself, so he finds your attitude cute and loves to entertain it. If you’re being bratty, he will either spoil you or mimic your behavior with a pout. What, you didn’t think two can play this game?

If he does spoil you it will be accompanied with the proper theatrics. “But of course! Who dared to upset my Princess? Point to the disturbance and I shall take care of it at once!” He is not embarrassed to be seen servicing you, and who would even attempt to question it? One knows better than to mess with the younger Hanma.

Sometimes Baki might be in a sour mood, or simply focused on his training. In such cases he will greet your demands with a sad smile and swear he’ll make it up to you as soon as his anger tones down. If you promise to behave, you can even help him train. He could use an extra weight.

Kaoru Hanayama

Hanayama isn’t quite sure how to deal with you. You’re so cute and frail, and yet every now and then you surprise him with a sassy attitude. Alas, he loves spoiling you so he will eventually give in to your demands, however outrageous they might be. He is the head of the yakuza, after all. You don’t need to hold back.

Sometimes he might take your statements literally, for the better or worse. You stomping your feet and angrily wishing whatever caused your distress would just disappear? You’ll have to quickly clear it up and explain it was just a tantrum. He doesn’t…actually need to eradicate it. Please.

If Hanayama is in a bad mood or occupied with work (leading a gang often proves to be a busy matter), he will have his lackeys readily available to you. Naturally they are to display the utmost compliance when servicing the future Ane-san of the Family.

Kaiou Retsu

Retsu finds you downright adorable and would do anything for your sake. It’s in his nature to be caring and kind towards those he loves and cherishes. Truly, it seems almost impossible to ever refuse your whims, his heart tugging whenever a frown might darken your features.

…Or is it? His willingness knows no boundaries, except for when your safety or comfort might be at risk. If your tantrums involve something he deems improper, not only will he disregard your attempts, but also lecture you vehemently. You almost feel like you’re once more in school, scolded by the strict teacher for being naughty.

Overall Retsu is rather rigid and awkward when it comes to your mischief. He is a man of discipline, but that has always only involved him. The etiquette he follows and expects from other warriors doesn’t extend to his beloved partner.

Katsumi Orochi

Similar to Retsu, Katsumi is also surrounded by stern expectations. He won’t hesitate to flatten down any of his Dojo attendees for the smallest sign of disobedience or misdemeanor. When it comes to you, however…

Everyone can tell he has a soft spot for you. From the facial expressions to the tone of his voice, his conduit switches in a matter of seconds. His ardent, adoring smile never falters when interacting with you. Your bratty attitude just makes his heart melt. The fact that you trust yourself to be cheeky around him reinforces his role as your partner, in his mind.

Sometimes even you feel like his spoiling might go overboard, but that’s what you like about him. He’s at your feet, ready to meet whatever desires you bring up. “Anything for my Princess” is his catchphrase around you.

Jack Hanma

You’d think Jack wouldn’t be the type tolerate certain behaviors. Plenty of people have gasped in anticipation upon witnessing your bratty attitude towards the tall man. Is he going to be angry? Will he yell at you? Alas, they just don’t know Jack well enough. His patience is unbreakable for things that matter to him.

He just quietly goes along with your orders. If you suddenly stop in the middle of the street and demand he holds your hand in this instant, he will comply with a faint smile. He enjoys entertaining you, he just won’t express it as openly as others. He’s your very own stoic Prince.

If you’re being particularly bratty and he’s not in the mood to react to it accordingly, he will just pick you up - regardless of where you are - and carry you home for a snuggle until you calm down or rectify your behavior. If you think about it, it’s not much of a punishment. And you can’t say no to being buried within his massive frame for warmth.

Here’s just a silly little thing I wrote in between working on bigger stuff. I was feeling sappy and wanted to write something with a bit of a lovey-dovey flair. ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ The Baki men love you for loads of reasons, but I wanted to pin point some of their more personalized reasons for loving you. (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*.ﾟ I hope you enjoy!

His upbringing lacked tenderness, a sense of family something that was sorely missing from his life as a small child. Kaoru is a busy man with a lot of responsibilities. It’s hard for him to find time for a relationship, let alone find someone who is willing to put up with all the red tape that comes with being his lover. But to you, it was never a huge issue. You had the patience of a saint, never once pouting or putting up a fuss when he couldn’t end up keeping promises to you. He knew it upset you, knew that you often felt lonely when he had to leave you behind. But you always smiled so brightly the next time you saw him, never cursing him or giving him the cold shoulder, just thrilled that he returned safely to your side. Any grievances you may have felt were completely overcome by your happiness to see him again, and witnessing that joy light up your face never failed to warm his heart. Many people respected him, pledging their lives to him, awarding him their earnest devotion. But your love was different, much sweeter and tinged with a kindness he had never previously experienced. His love for you was boundless, and even with all your empathy, he would make any negligence up to you tenfold the moment he returns-always. <3

He lives for your praise, yearns for your touch, melts in your presence, and when he sees his presence has a similar effect on you it makes his heart beat so rapidly it may just rip out of his chest. To love someone so incredible, and be loved back in turn, is all he has ever dreamed of. This man is absolutely head over heels for you, and his affections will only grow the longer you remain his. <3

Maybe it’s not the standard definition of love, but there is definitely something about you that caught the ogre’s eye and kept him intrigued. The way you move, talk, think, act- all of it is so interesting to him. Your reactions and thought processes so far removed from how he would respond to a situation that he can’t help but be intrigued. What would you say if he told you this? How would you respond if this occurred? Silly thoughts like this plague his mind, eating away at him so much he’s halfway tempted to hunt you down so he can answer his own questions and move on. But even if he finds his infatuation asinine, his focus always seems to be drawn back to you. It’s ridiculous, and he can’t quite sort out why he cares so much, but your magnetic charm definitely has an effect on him. It pisses him off and amuses him in equal measure. Where you fit in his life is an enigma, but it’s one he’s happy to grapple with. The paradox of your company has held his interest much longer than he ever imagined it would, and he intends to ride that out as long as he’s able. That certain je ne sais quo you have about you is what keeps him coming back for more. <3

Not necessarily physical strength (though he loves that too), but what really got him was your emotional fortitude. He’s seen you get through situations that would make lesser people roll over and quit, watched you handle problems that would make even the toughest of people second guess themselves and break down. But you always pull through, no matter what situation you are faced with. You may cry, you may scream, you may kick and thrash and question the trial you are going through… But you always make it through and come out the victor. He draws strength from you, admiring you greatly for all you have struggled to achieve. You are an inspiration to him, and he loves you more than he thought he could ever possibly love another. He just wants you to know you never have to struggle alone again, your burdens are his, and he’s happy to shoulder them with you. <3

It’s not that you were squeaky clean (and he wouldn’t necessarily want you that way, either), but there is a conviction about you that he can’t help but be attracted to. You stand up for what you believe in and don’t mince your words. Even if you are facing your opposition with a shaky voice, tears in your eyes, legs wobbling so bad you can barely stand… You still make you stand. It’s inspiring to him, and has made him so fond of you that he has vowed to never leave you fighting on your own. Maybe you don’t see yourself as particularly brave or outstanding, but Doppo begs to differ. You are an incredibly strong willed person who will put up a fight for their beliefs, and you have his full love and support each step of the way. <3

Retsu himself is a very earnest person, and like attracts like. From the moment he met you, he was taken with how authentic you were. You didn’t have a disingenuous bone in your body, responding to people and situations in such a heartfelt and unfeigned way he couldn’t help but fall hard and fast. Everything you did was so profound. Your actions, words, and emotions, were all so beautiful to him. You spilled your heart to the world, never fearing any backlash or mockery. He deeply admires how you wear your heart on your sleeve, facing the challenges of each day with a clear head and a caring heart. He knew you could hold your own, but he always wants to be near you so that he may protect and support you through anything life may throw your way. Your natural candor never ceases to stir him, motivating and influencing to be a better man. <3

When Musashi was revived, he was born into a whole new world. It was unrecognizable, foreign and distant, and he often felt as if he were just a phantom passing through. Just as in his previous life, people are star struck when they see him, vying to meet and speak with him, eager to challenge him. But it’s all a farce, a mockery of the past when warriors presented themselves to him for an honest battle, not some spectacle born out of misunderstanding and underestimation of him. It made him sick, to see how soft and ignorant mankind had become in the hundreds of years since his passing. He felt damn near ready to give up on this new humanity entirely, the notion that he may find someone he desired long term companionship in this new age laughable. That is, until he met you. From your initial meeting onward, you held him in a high regard, genuine in your esteem and admiration of him. He was quite struck by you too, as you were always polite and courteous, always indescribably beautiful. You carried yourself with a quiet dignity, having a distinct personality he found quite endearing. He was quickly ensnared by you, a warmth permeating him at finding a kindred spirit whom he felt safe sharing his heart with. The world is only destined to keep changing, but his love for you will remain everlasting. <3

Ps: I still love your writings so much <3

Situation: Being stepparents / Siendo padrastros.

Characters: Oliva Biscuit and Retsu Kaioh.

Oliva Biscuit.

Oliva actively tries to show that he is a good man and that his stepdaughter can trust that he is not trying to alienate her from her father/mother in any way.

Expensive and lavish gifts may be seen by his stepdaughter as a way for Oliva to “buy” her favor, but this man is not really trying to bribe her with gifts. He just has a lot of money and the need to buy nice things for the important people in his life.

At the same time, Oliva gives his stepdaughter her space, he doesn't want her to feel like he's invading her space, so he doesn't ask his S/O to move in with him or let him spend the night in their house. He dies for that to happen.

Over time, Oliva will be able to prove that he is a good and trustworthy man, he's just too big and visibly intimidating.

Retsu Kaioh.

Retsu is a really patient and calm man, he is able to get along with people effectively, even if it takes him some time. He understands that this whole transition is difficult, especially for someone so young, and he doesn't want to aggravate a relationship that hasn't started yet.

He is easy going with his interactions, first with occasional greetings and small talk that doesn't force his stepdaughter to engage with him if she doesn't want to. He goes little by little.

He is bonding with her little by little, making breakfast for everyone, taking them to a park to get some fresh air, taking her to school and picking her up too.

Retsu is putting his trust in time, he knows that if he avoids putting pressure on his stepdaughter and doesn't force her to get used to him, she will manage to accept him, at her pace and because she will want it that way.

Es tranquilo con sus interacciones, primero con saludos ocasionales y pequeñas pláticas que no fuerzan a su hijastra a relacionarse con él si no quiere. Va poco a poco.

Está relacionándose con ella de poco a poco, preparando el desayuno para todos, llevarles a un parque para que tomen aire fresco, llevándole a la escuela y recogiéndola también.

Retsu está poniendo su confianza en el tiempo, sabe que si evita presionar a su hijastra y no la obliga a acostumbrarse a él, ella logrará aceptarlo, a su ritmo y porque ella así lo querrá.

sigh. I don't know too much about retsu but like....

Could you imagine participating in a wash day for him??? Now, okay, I know some people find it weird that certain people have days especially dedicated to haircare but whatever, let's talk about it because I have a strange obsession with hair and—

Retsu was a bit apprehensive at first when you offered to help him with his hair, not that he didn't trust you, no, in fact, he trusted you with his entire life.and then some. It's just that he's never had such an experience before. He was just barely becoming accustomed to affection and getting used to your love language as well as finding what his was. You'd been dating for a couple months now but you were patient with him and he was patient with you. And when you brought up washing and doing his hair for him, you swore you saw the beefy man's brain buffering in real-time, even going as far to say that you'd saw smoke coming out of his ears, but luckily, he obliged.

And here you were, using the kitchen sink to wash his hair, taking on the role of hairstylist for the day, eager to test your hair washing skills. Retsu sat in a chair in front of the sink, head tilted back with a rolled up towel used to protect his neck from the metal bowl. Retsu had undone his braid and you laid out his hair in the sink, that you'd thoroughly cleaned beforehand and put in a special drainer for hair, while you turned the water on to let the temperature heat up.

While doing that, you opened a bottle of the shampoo he often used and squeezed a hefty amount in your palms before warming it up in your hands. And then you began to wash his hair, carefully massaging his scalp while hearing your boyfriend sigh in relaxation. You scrubbed and bunched and scrunched— all the fix-ins, and maybe about three minutes later you could hear Retsu snoring. Did you have the magic touch?

The thought was enough to make you snicker to yourself as continued to wash his hair, being extra careful with the silky locks. If there was one thing that Retsu cared about almost as equally as he cared about his fighting craft, it was his hair. You were somewhat aware of the importance to it in his culture, but you didn't know too much about the deeper meanings. Even so, you were glad that he'd trusted you enough and felt safe enough to nap while you tangled your fingers in his hair.

And by the time you finished shampooing, you moved onto conditioning his hair, deciding to let it sit for a bit before you'd rinse it. As you waited, you stepped back and watched your lover sleep, looking peaceful and unbothered. You took the time to study his face a little more than usual, taking note of his handsome face. He seemed to have a permanent scowl, but you couldn't help but to notice that while he slept, the lines in his face seemed to relax a little.

"Do you usually stare at your customers while washing their hair?"

His voice startled you out of your self-induced trance and you nearly stumbled back but quickly caught yourself, trying to play it off as he peeked an eye open, eyeing you with a bit of a cocky smirk.

"Oh shut it. You're my first and only customer. Consider yourself lucky."

Now, with you on the couch, Retsu sat between your legs on the floor in front of the couch while you were brushing his hair like the crazy bitch in Rapunzel, thankfully you weren't singing. (This is my very first fic that I’m posting so please be patient T-T. Also, any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!)

“Ow! Damn!” Was heard from down the hall of the shinshin Kai medical floor. Inside one of the rooms, was you. Sat on a bed with your chest bandaged up and your arm currently being treated by your beloved sea king.

“I told you not to use that move on Katsumi, My love.” Retsu softly scolded as he used an alcoholic wipe to disinfect the scrape you had endured during the fight.

For context. You decided to visit Retsu while he was training with Katsumi and his class. While you originally wanted to observe how Retsu would teach kenpo to a room of Karatekas, it ended up with Katsumi wanting to test his newly learned kenpo on you to impress his class.

“At least I still won!” You exclaimed while rolling your eyes. “I had to lay his ass out…especially if he thinks he could take me down with kenpo he just learned 10 minutes ago!”

“(Name)…..” Retsu said in a warning tone. “Sorry.” You sigh.

Retsu finishes the remaining bandages on your various cuts and bruises. Then kissing over the wraps. He always did this as a form of healing. (He picked it up from you when you first started doing it to him after his battles >:3)

“That should do it. How do you feel?”

“I should be ok…thank you, Retsu.”

( I went swimming today and out of nowhere I got this idea-)

Baki Hanma

- Baki doesn't have any problems going for a swim with you, neither in an indoor pool nor in a natural pool

-you would have to handle some of the jealous eyes of the other girls in the pool with you but Baki makes sure and clear,with kisses,hugs and some touches, that he's only yours

-you suggest going to the sauna or the salt pool, no problem for him at all as long he's with you.. he's clingy

-you also play with him in the pool, a little splashing, banging around, jumps and piggyback

-when you want to go swimming with Hanayama, you always have to tell him a few days earlier, not only because of his job and gang, but also to give him time to rent the entire fucking building.

-when you go swimming, the building.is.empty. the only humans you see is the personal and his gang, they stand at every door, at every large window, just everywhere.

-but It's quiete funny, most of the pools aren't deep enough so every time you swim you just see yourself swimming to some big tree or stone that's too big to get completly covered by the water

-you often tried challenging him to see who's faster, what a big mistake. you didn't even manage to push yourself off the edge and you saw him already at the other side

- besides the fun moments you also have your carring and loving time with him. every time he leans on the side of the pool he pulls you close, either on his lap or he pins you against the edge of the pool

- he has his hands always on your body and his lips on yours, your neck or chest, his eyes always looking at you

-when you see the guards leave,after a sign you probably will never find out, you know what's going to happen, I only say intimate time

Babysitting there kid while mommy’s gone headcanons?

Okay, I'm tired of this, but I think I did it pretty well.

(what I mean by " Mature enough children" are children who have not yet grown up to be called a teenager, children who are under ten years old)

Baki:

- it is not difficult for him to handle a child, but he is still a child himself

- God, he calls his mother every 15 minutes.

"What does he like to eat? ", " Does he need a lunch nap? " , " He wants candy, can he? "and much, much more...

- but he plays with him, walks with him, in general, they have a great time

- even if Hanma leaves the child alone for a short time, he does not take his eyes off him

- however, Baki didn't keep track of him a couple of times, so the kid will tell his mom that Baki cooked for him, they played together, and then Bucky took him down from the tree

- If the child is already more or less an adult, then he goes with him to the amusement park

- in general, it seems to me that the older the child is, the more often Hanma will break the rules with him

- he has probably already consulted with his mother about what he can and cannot do, when he goes to bed, and so on

- probably Hana doesn't have too much time to play with the child, (and he understands that his appearance to the child may seem a little frightening) so he can gut the Kizaki. - However, this does not mean that Hana shifts all her responsibilities to her assistant.

- he certainly spends time with the child and... he likes it

- constantly monitors the child or Kozaki does it, so Rhea doty can't talk about any emergency situations

- if the child is old enough, he will spend more time with him and he will... more relaxed

Truly, how embarrassing. Hundreds of years of flawless concealment. Carefully and steadily learning the ways of humans until no one could ever suspect the slightest off detail. You’ve changed identities countless times, lived in many places, and each time your true nature has been kept out of reach. So why, in the name of ancient Gods, have you just forfeited your secrecy? Now of all times?

Of course, you already know the answer. Never through the long history in which you’ve walked this Earth has there been a more annoying creature. You glare at Yuujirou with your glossy reptilian orbs. Annoyingly persistent, but also unbearably strong. Your human form was not enough to go against him, and your pride and anger took over before you could carefully consider things.

So now you stand here, your long, scaly body overlapping several times as it circles the entire Underground Arena, with your head just below the high ceilings. Everyone has gone quiet and the red headed culprit can only follow suit, staring back with raised eyebrows.

“…(Y/N)?” You hear your boyfriend mutter in an attempt to break the insufferable silence, perhaps looking for some explanation or awaiting confirmation that they haven’t gone mad. You hadn’t planned to be seen like this, especially by your partner. The shame is too great, all eyes are on you. You lift your clawed hands to your snout, attempting to hide your features, and let out a prolonged cry.

Between your sobs and hiccups you feel a faint pressure on your tail. You look down and notice your boyfriend stroking along the harsh skin, reassuringly. “Come now. You can’t blame me for being surprised, but that’s no reason to be upset. There’s nothing wrong with this.”

If you boyfriend is…

Baki, he will follow your movements with a silly expression that you can’t read. His stare is making you squirm and your long body slithers around idly, almost like a fidget. There’s a smile plastered on his face, but he’s not saying much otherwise. His gaze is fixated on you. Your orbs dart around the Arena, trying to come up with an explanation. After a few huffs and puffs, you finally face him with scolding indignation. “I know it’s strange, but can you at least pretend not to gawk like this? Why do you look at me like that?” He seems taken aback by your reaction, but follows with a chuckle. “You’re right, sorry. I just thought you’re very cute like this.”

Chiharu, he’ll be way more enthusiastic than you would’ve anticipated. You’ve already heard the story of his back tattoo and the symbolism behind it. He’ll tell you that this is no coincidence, and perhaps his design idea was already a subconscious preparation for your arrival. He finds you very cool and every now and then he might even jokingly scare you just to see your tail and horns.

Jack, he won’t say much. He is obviously very shocked alright, but he’d rather not make a big deal out of it, especially after seeing your reaction and embarrassment. He’ll cough, look away, and stumble over his words in an attempt to let you know that he doesn’t care and it doesn’t change anything. As the reality settles in, he will occasionally look at your small form with a newfound amusement. To think this tiny human could make him look insignificant in size in an instant.

Retsu, he will immediately apologize for intruding on your privacy like this. Clearly this was meant to be a secret, and the unwilling exposure makes him feel like he just caught you naked out of the shower. He is a blushing mess as he attempts to diffuse the situation, promising that he’ll take care in keeping the others quiet. Once you calm down, he’ll sneak in a few glances because he can’t help his curiosity. You remind him of a Chinese dragon. Noble, royal and powerful.

Katsumi, he will be absolutely entertained by the whole ordeal. There’s not an ounce of fear in this man’s eyes. He’s laughing and clapping his hands in disbelief and surprise. “I know I always say you’re special to me, (Y/N), but you’ve really outdone yourself this time! I think it’s safe to assume you’re just special. Unless there’s other dragons casually roaming the city.” He hasn’t thought about that. You promise him there aren’t hidden dragons in his Dojo and he doesn’t have to worry about being overturned. And you don’t know if the children are going to be half dragon. You haven’t planned that far ahead.

Hanayama, he will just stare at you after his last statement. You gradually become more nervous, unsure how to respond. That’s it? The scales around your face are flushed with a red tint and in your anxiety, a blow of hot steam is released from your nostrils. Hanayama realizes your discomfort and his eyes widen. “Sorry, I kind of assumed you needed a moment to recollect yourself. I now see I only made it worse.” He slides his fogged up glasses along the bridge of his nose and hums. “I’ll guide the others outside and then we can talk, okay? Leave everything to me.”

Christmas Traditions with Baki, Retsu, Katsumi, Hanayama, Biscuit, Jack, Doppo, Yujiro, and Motobe <3

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! I hope you are all having a fun, nice, peaceful holiday! I wanted to write a little something for the day (I actually started a full on Christmas fic but very quickly realized I would run out of time oops) so here’s a little blurb I whipped out during down time at work. It’s nothing huge, and it’s basically unedited, but I wanted to give you all a little present of sorts if I could. I know I take forever to update and post things, so thank you all for your patience and being wonderful superb humans. I love you all~

He’s thrilled to act as ‘Santa’ for you, feverishly going over in his head all the things you have ever mentioned wanting or liking in the course of your relationship. You in turn also have fun shopping for him, happy that you get to create pleasant memories for him during the holiday season to replace all the lackluster ones. The day’s leading up to Christmas mount his anticipation-he is as pumped to see and spend time with you as he is to exchange gifts. You’ll be lucky if you can get him to hold out tearing into presents by Christmas Eve, let alone the day of.

Your tradition with Katsumi is sightseeing. Christmas Eve each year is spent out on the town as you take in all the sights and activities the holiday season has to offer. You look at lights, listen to carolers, go ice skating, grab some hot cocoa/coffee. The whole day you stay linked arm in arm, smiling so hard your cheeks start to hurt. And when it’s time to wind down in the evening you both return home together to spend the remainder of the night wrapped up in each other’s arms, falling asleep to the favorite holiday movie or show of your choosing. He always seems to last longer than you do and considers those moments when you are nestled safely in his arms, right before he drifts off after you, some of the happiest moments of his entire life.

As long as he’s able to whisk you away from the hustle and bustle of your daily lives and spend the season in your presence, he really doesn’t give a damn where the two of you end up. He wants to be around you and only you, the best present he can provide and receive being your happiness and love. Just understand that as soon as your reach your destination, that’s when the real holiday magic begins ~

Your tradition with Biscuit is story reading. Biscuit’s life is chaotic, and the holiday season does little to lessen this burden. Sometimes it can feel like you barely have time or access to each other at all. That’s why on Christmas he makes sure to dedicate the entire day just for you. Nothing fills him with warmth and peace like Christmas night does, snuggled up together in front of the fire place, taking turns reading each other Christmas stories from an old, well-loved book you’ve had since childhood. When you first suggested it you were afraid he would find it silly or childish, but he was delighted by the idea. He loves listening to you speak, finds peace in the stories your voice weaves for him. He can think of no better way to spend the holiday.

Your tradition with Jack is a movie marathon. Like his brother, he doesn’t have too many fond memories of Christmas time to reflect on, so when you enter the picture you made it your mission to change this. Appalled that he hadn’t even seen the classics, you suggest a movie night, complete with homemade cocoa and all the Christmas cookies you can eat. You were concerned he may not like the idea at first, Jack wasn’t one to sit around for long periods of time and you were worried the movies may just bore him. But as he held you firmly in his laps, basking in homemade treats and your silly commentary, you knew this was the right move. Even as he poked fun at some of the films, calling them ‘kiddie movies’ you were ‘forcing him to watch’, you knew the small smile on his lips and the way he held you close relayed what he was truly feeling. This was cemented when he finished the marathon with the question “Same time and place next year?”

Your tradition with Doppo is decorating. He humored you when you told him you wanted to do up your home for the holidays, and he let you go all out when it came to picking out and purchasing decorations. Unfortunately for him, all those decorations meant you needed help putting them up-and he was your prime target for assistance. Though originally he agreed begrudgingly, he ended up having a lot of fun decorating with you. It warmed his heart to see the smile that graced your lips as you dressed the tree, and he took great joy in the playful banter you shared over what decoration looked best in this corner of the room, or if the star atop the tree was crooked or not. It was also nice showing off for you whenever heavier decorations needed to be assembled, he lived for the little blush the fell over your face as you laughed, telling him his flexing and posturing was ‘too much’. Next year he’d have to remember to purchase some mistletoe to add to the arrangement, he already knew the perfect place to hang it ~

Your tradition with Yujiro is skiing. You had never done it previously and were concerned how good you would be at it. It also didn’t help your anxiety that the one who invited you was Yujiro, and he had gone out of the way to clear out the entire slopes for just the two of you. But even with all your nerves the trip ended up being surprisingly peaceful and enjoyable. Yes, Yujiro picked at you and was obviously disappointed with your lack of immediate skiing skill, but he was also shockingly patient and helpful, giving you tips and guidance that made navigating the slopes much easier. Hours flew by without you realizing, and by the end of the day you were exhausted, but had successfully navigated a hill all on your own (albeit it was a beginner one, which Yujiro made sure to make fun of you for, but a slope is a slope in your humble opinion). Thinking this was a onetime deal you thanked Yujiro for the experience, letting him know it was the most fun Christmas you had had in a while. You were taken aback when he busted out laughing at you, explaining you weren’t anywhere near done-he’d repeat this every year necessary with you until you could get on his level.

Your tradition with Motobe is to build a fire. It’s a simple thing, and not necessarily a strictly Christmas event, but you both find happiness huddled up together on Christmas night by the fire. You relish in each other’s company, sipping a warm beverage, sharing a blanket, and talking about anything and everything under the sun. The only time any banter occurs is when you argue over who needs to leave the comforting warmth to go get more firewood. This goes on late into the night until the two of you are too tired to keep your eyes open. The final words to leave both of your lips are affirmations of love and the promise to make the New Year great.
