Luminescence - A ReShade Preset

Hello! sorry for such a random upload but a lot of people on Facebook are asking what preset I use!

This is a lightweight, preset that just has few modifications! This works best with @dreadpirate's Radiance Lighting 2.5 mod!

Here's an example of how it looks like in the game! Your game might look a bit different if you use other Lighting mods or just using a Maxis Lighting, but it shouldn't be that much of a difference!

vibrant and crisp just like memories should be

Important things:

Lighting mods: I'm using sunblind and better in-game lighting mod (dark saturated dark rooms) so it might look different in your game.

Toggle Keys: I'd recommend changing toggle keys to the ones that work for you (Shaders I found useful to turn off sometimes: BloomAndLensFlares, HexLensFlares & CinematicDOF).

I wouldn't use it for gameplay, but I won't stop you. I only use it for screenies.

Reshade/Gshade: it should work for both

I beg you, do not claim as yours and don't reupload it! Edit it as you will for personal use (in other words, don't use as a base).

it wasn't made for cas but it works (more or less), maybe it looks better with other backgrouds. At least with white backgrounds you have to turn off BloomAndLensFlares, HexLensFlares and maybe the DOF shaders (mainly CinematicDOF).

i added the list of shaders in case you guys are missing some (all of them can be downloaded by default when you install reshade I think). Keep in mind that the order of the shaders MATTER.

rose cream reshade preset.

making LUTs has become one of my obsessions over the past year, and I've been wanting to get back into the sims 3, but can't do so without using reshade presets. figured I might as well go ahead and learn how to make my own since I have so much fun messing with colours in photoshop!

the colouring of this one is a wee bit muted, relatively warm and has a pinkish hue. not my usual preset style (I previously liked my game bright + vibrant), but I love the vibe of it all the same and will definitely get some use out of it.

hope you like it :~)

when installing, please make sure to place the LUT (.png file) into your textures (game > bin > reshade-shaders > textures) folder — this preset will hit you with a black screen otherwise!

shaders used: qUINT_mxao, depth_cues, LUT, adaptivesharpen, clarity, cinematicDOF (optional, use f8 key to enable/disable)

gleam - a gshade preset

hello! i wanted to share my personal gshade preset that i've been using and editing for the past couple of months. gleam complements warm light and green tones beautifully, creating an inviting and natural atmosphere. this preset has multiple toggle keys aimed to accommodate both screenshots and gameplay.

- incompatible with edge smoothing as some shaders won't work properly

It’s my birthday today ✨ and

it’s supposed to be fun turning 21...

And it kinda is, soooo here is my birthday gift to you guys <3 This preset is very close to the preset I use myself so hopefully this will make you guys happy :))) It’s a light preset without too many shaders, it just enhances the game in my (humble) opinion.

Let’s get to the info part!

This is not a gameplay preset. It’s too heavy for gameplay, but if you turn off dof and mxao, you could use it as a gameplay preset!

turn off edge smoothing for the preset to work.

! important ! I made this preset with the shaders from 3.0.8 with 4.9.1, to make sure the preset looks the same make sure you download the shaders from here (pls make a back up folder of your old shaders before replacing them with the new folder, ya never know)

If you don’t have reshade installed, you can find a tutorial here <3

I made these screenshots in Sulani with sun at 4pm, so if you want the same effect make screenshots at that time :)

GSHADE Preset - ANSEL

A high-contrast black and white filter.

Works best for dramatic scenery shots of nature and cities.

Could work for portraits depending on the lighting and background.

Thought I would share for anyone interested in this style of photography. Named after, and inspired by, Ansel Adams.

Usage

Enable the "AdaptiveFog" shader to make the sky completely white. This is meant to add brightness for daytime pictures but could work for foggy nighttime pictures too.

Enable the "CinematicDOF" shader for depth of field.

Film grain shaders can look nice with this but you'll have to enable and adjust those yourself.

Compatibility

Made on Reshade 4.9.1. Works with GShade 3.5.0.

Make sure "edge-smoothing" is turned off in the game's settings.

Installation

Put this in your Program Files -> EA -> The Sims 3 -> Game -> Bin folder. For Reshade users, that's all. For GShade users, put it in the "custom presets" folder.

softie; a reshade preset

i finally got around to entirely redo-ing and overhauling my reshade preset so i wanted to share for those who have been asking for it 🤍 this preset was made specifically for turning the bright default alien green into a soft, honeydew, marshmallowy color - but it softens up the rest of the world nicely too!

brightens the vanilla game lighting significantly, desaturates greens

made with reshade version 4.7, but its quite simple so it should (hopefully) work with other versions as well

this is the preset i use for all my screenies - preview above is unedited

see which lighting mods i use here. using without these may affect how the preset looks - i highly recommend these mods with or without this preset!!

jasper reshade preset.

(just another shellsea preset + 'er' because jasper sounds better than jasp)

much more subtle reshade preset than my last one, but since people have already asked what I'm using after only using this in one video, I figured I'd share :~) game is a little brighter, greens are a little warmer, nothing fancy but nice to look at all the same.

this preset uses 2 different MXAOs, PPFX SSDO, and depth cues because I like my shadows exaggerated; you can disable some of these if you prefer them a little more subtle.

shaders used:

adaptive sharpen, clarity, depth cues, LUT, martys MXAO, color gamut, PPFX SSDO, quint MXAO 2, SMAA, tonemap, cinematic DOF (optional, use f8 key to enable/disable).
