have you ever posted your computer specs? would you mind doing so? I’m getting a new one and have no idea what I’m doing and wanna play/mod bg3 lol

hey! i actually semi recently upgraded from a laptop to an actual pc tower. i'm using the alienware aurora r13 with these specs: Intel Core i7 12700F/1TB HDD/1TB SSD/16GB RAM/RTX 3080. pretty sure this is exactly the same one. you don't need the same specs to play/mod bg3 though, a good starting point is checking the recommended system requirements!

(also my computer review nobody asked for under the cut)

I really like my aurora but I wouldn't recommend buying one lol (an r13 at least) because there is a known manufacturing fault with the power supply unit. not known to ME beforehand lmao but it wasn't a big deal for me because dell sent me a new one for free and I just swapped it myself and it works perfect, but it's a pain and especially annoying if you're not used to working on the inside of a computer. they can arrange someone to come do it for you but that's also really annoying.

THAT SAID, I definitely recommend a pc over a laptop if you've got the space for it/money for a monitor as well, since you can often get the same or better specs in a PC for way less money than a gaming laptop. plus laptops just naturally run worse.
