aww thank you so much!! 🥰💖 i definitely want to finish & share it because i much prefer using the skin instead of monolid makeup which i can never get quite right on my sims. also there arent that many monolid skins, we could always use one more. i just have to blend the eye area for the other male & female age stages. ugh lol i'm so used to clothing and hair cc which don't require so many matching textures to be made 🤧

was thinking about Matthew Hamming Lore & playing with omedapixel's decorator tool.

i'm trying to think up some famous movies & famous exes for him.

i'm making him a car enthusiast because i can. it fits him!

this is hamming's black ferrari 488 parked outside a building in downtown bridgeport. he was attending some fancy celebrity event inside.

hamming is known to frequently change cars and girlfriends. it's his commitment issues trait. he likes to show 'em off in public, bring them around all his friends, and then the next thing you know, he's bored and on to the next. with the way he goes through dates so fast, more than one talk show host has wondered if hamming even likes women...? 🤭

this car is special because it was a birthday gift from famous director alan stanley. stanley and hamming have collaborated on a number of blockbuster films, and have become close personal friends over the years of working together. hamming is stanley's muse... in a totally macho and not homoerotic way of course. there are so many shirtless scenes of hamming in stanley's films for PLOT REASONS. he does it for the fans! sex sells! stop asking questions!

4t3 Conversion: Samuel Hair by Johnnysimmer

I really wanted this hair for my game.

I tried to fit the mesh as closely to the head as possible, I think I did pretty well. However the mesh is doing something weird on the sides, as you can see from the jagged edges, and I don't know how to fix it...

Anyways it doesn't bother me that much. I love how it looks.

Idk, this sounds kind of silly, but I like it when people embrace the raunchiness of the early Sims games. The 2000s had a really unique culture, where raunchiness was acceptable and even encouraged (for the most part).

So it's a shame that TS4 has been scrubbed clean of any risqué content and even removed burglars, ffs. This seems to be ever more prevalent in modern media, where people are pushing for safe content. However, I think that this takes away a part of the Sims' identity. The Sims has always been a little edgy, and that's part of what made it so fun and popular, and why I personally love TS2 and it’s community.

Now this isn’t to say that I agree with everything in the series. There is some problematic content that is best to be left in the past, and that’s reasonable. But I’m sorry, these games were never intended for children. It was always T+, and let me tell you, teenagers are not. fucking. stupid. I feel like ts4 is so condescending it’s funny.

rest of the cook family: lady cook & cressida wells makeovers

the lore says cressida is lady's personal, live-in esthetician but in my mind, cressida is more like lady's esthetician + personal assistant + babysitter for the family's teen daughter + captive audience for lady's emotional breakdowns.

in her youth, lady used to be a model and actress in bridgeport before she decided to marry jeffrey cook for his money, and to live the life of a pampered stay-at-home trophy wife. 20-ish years later, she finds herself painfully bored, lonely, and absolutely hating her husband and her daughter. the only things that distract her from her misery are her shopping trips, consulting her plastic surgeons for procedures to try next, and getting treatments at the spa. recently, she has been trying to spend more time at the upscale SOLSTICE members-only gym wellness club downtown, taking yoga and pilates classes in the afternoons and evenings. she hopes to make some girlfriends, and well, the attention from the hunky trainers and gymgoers is nice too. for a few hours, she's in a luxurious bubble full of beautiful people and organic handcrafted fruit smoothies and eucalyptus-scented towels, where none of her troubles can follow her.

cressida hates her job but at least the cooks pay well, and at least she isn't hunched over all day at the spa giving massages and pedicures and breathing in the fumes of god knows what chemicals. occasionally lady even gives her some designer items she doesn't want anymore, which cressida promptly sells off at the consignment.

on cressida's rare days off, she likes to go out dancing with the other girls from the spa, drop the customer service persona, and catch them up on the latest cook household drama. all of them take turns venting about their wealthy clients' bullshit shenanigans over drinks and appies. cressida wants to eventually meet a guy, settle down and start a family, but she's not in a hurry. working for the cooks has taught her the importance of choosing a partner wisely because she knows she doesn't want to end up miserable like them.

Choose your favorite premades from the store worlds. Now imagine they have a Battle Royale/Hunger Games style fight-to-survive tournament. (They'll be fine. It's all movie magic anyways.)

growing up on horror movies, i had a short battle royale phase. i confess i've never read or watched the hunger games series but i need to.

i'll take the young adults and adults from sunset valley instead.

it gets morbid.

morgana and thornton start bickering. morgana k*lls thornton in a fit of rage and panic and this triggers her transformation into a stone cold killer. she didn't want to... but she has to do what it takes to survive.

jamie jolina seems like the archetypal final girl, but she's morgana's next victim.

hank and pauline get picked off almost immediately. sorry. i just don't think they'd make smart choices.

cycl0n3 sw0rd does pretty well. this is just like those strategic survival video games he plays. he breaks one of the rules of the competition by trying to hack the system or leave the arena or something, so he gets offed by production for his offense. the tracker collar around his neck blows up or something idk.

agnes crumplebottom: classic femme fatale, she lures the male participants somewhere, seduces them, then gets rid of them. she'll go pretty far. she'll bring in the ratings.

molly french and fiona mcirish: they refuse to participate in the fighting. they go out thelma and louise style.

the altos and landgraabs: they try to get over their differences and stick together for the sake of survival. nick and vita get some k*lls in, while geoffrey and nancy observe. but due to paranoia and suspicion, they eventually betray each other in mutual destruction. the remaining survivor from the altercation gets picked off by one of the other competitors.

the audience cheers when xander clavell gets eliminated.

leighton sekemoto emerges as the "alpha male" that viewers root for. he's wholesome and sympathetic and can handle himself.

erin kennedy is the one most likely to win the competition and the audience's favour. she's in the military so she's tough and knows how to handle herself but she's also not an evil killer. she is relatable and sympathetic. the audience will root for her to win against all odds.

This is my response to this post by @goatskickin - a second version. That's the best way to desaturate hair texture or other stuff with alpha transparency ( thanks @paluding).

Desaturate or Hue/Saturation often makes textures crunchy.

You'll get best results if you create plain black layer and set blend mode to Color. Adjust Opacity as needed. In case of alpha stuff you also need to create Clipping mask.

When doing color actions on hair textures (or anything else) - if Hue/Saturation adjustment layer step does -83 Saturation (for example), instead you can do what I described above and set black layer Opacity to 83%.

Also, use SimPE to build textures as DXT5, do not rely on Bodyshop 'cuz it will always f*ck it up.
