My newest yuri VN, Dreamy Planet, has been released! You can buy it here on Steam or here on itch.io for $6.99 if you’re interested!
Dreamy Planet follows a troubled young woman called Haruka, who feels trapped in a loveless relationship with a man her parents introduced to her. Haruka is determined to make this relationship work for her parents’ sake, who are desperate for grandchildren, even if it kills her. Secretly, however, Haruka harbours feelings towards her childhood friend, Shiina, whom she hasn’t seen in several years. Eventually, Shiina gets back into contact with Haruka, and suggests that the pair catch up at one of their favourite childhood haunts: the theme park Dreamy Planet, which has closed down and fallen into ruin. Will Shiina and Haruka’s relationship meet a similar fate, or will old feelings between them be rekindled? Dreamy Planet is quite sombre in tone, but it's not all doom and gloom. It presents the possibility of a happy ending, and the leads are afforded a degree of hope. It's a quiet, ambient sort of experience, which some people might find relaxing. I hope you enjoy it, if you do decide to check it out!

Chronicles of Tal’Dun: The Remainder
This is a story of two magi, Vyn and Ilar, who find themselves trapped in a collapsing tower with their only hope for salvation being a difficult ritual. Or at least that is what Ilar tells you. The thing is - you don’t remember anything, and Ilar’s story makes less and less sense the closer you are to the ritual. Are they hiding things to protect you from the bitter truth, or are they deceiving you for some more nefarious reason?
Guide Vyn’s actions to death and beyond and uncover Ilar’s truth. Are they your colleague, lover or something completely different? Read between the lines of what they are telling you, explore your surroundings for clues and use hands-on deduction to break the vicious circle and set them free.

Chronicles of Tal’Dun: The Longing
Most people spend their whole lives never touching magick, and some are gripped by it before they ever open their eyes. Is there a place in this world for a child cursed with the hunger of the moons? For a child with a song that wants to be sung? Will they devour one another or find salvation in each other’s embrace?
The world of Tal'Dun is shaped by mysterious forces of the Sea, a power that gives and takes life. Touching its waters brings death to most people, but in rare cases some survive it and become magi. Evin and Near come from very different circumstances, one grew up in a tiny village and stumbled upon magick by accident, and the other was born with it and spent their life locked away in a temple. Despite this, as if pulled together by the currents of the Sea, their paths cross, and now a storm is brewing.

📝Devlog May 26th - Snowhaven Studios
Tumblr media
Hello everyone!
Our team has been working hard to make awesome games, so we wanted to share what we have going on behind the scenes this May.
Tumblr media
First, we’d like to highlight a brand update that we announced recently on Tumblr. Our studio has shifted from away from a more narrow focus of games, to a variety of genres from varying perspectives. This has been an important transition for our studio as it reflects the diversity in our games, which we feel is important for our growth as an indie studio. This ties in with some of the awesome games we have coming out, so read on to hear more about it!
Tumblr media
Our biggest accomplishment for the month was that we updated the Love’s Crescendo demo! For those of you that don’t know, Love’s Crescendo is our latest upcoming rhythm game VN hybrid that features rhythm game mechanics and the blossoming romance between Valerie and Cadence.  Some of the new additions to the updated demo includes: dynamic animations and camera movement, speaker highlights so you know who is talking, and UI improvements to make the visuals more appealing!
Tumblr media
You’ll find the overall gameplay of the mini games to be a lot smoother this time around, including a ready/start animation to prepare you for hitting the notes. There’s also a How To Play screen which helps players learn the mechanics before diving in. Check out the new demo by clicking here. Another notable event for this month was the character reveals for Love’s Crescendo. We shared all of the characters, some for the first time that aren’t found in the demo. If you’ve been following our development on Twitter and Tumblr, you’ve probably come to the conclusion that all of the LC characters have spectacular hairstyles, and you’re right about that!
Tumblr media
We also celebrated the anniversary of My Sweet Confession earlier this month. Dara @pogo-a-gogo made celebratory chibi art for Hana and Ichika to celebrate the release of our beloved yuri game. My Sweet Confession is a wholesome yuri dating sim about rekindling friendship and hopefully turning it into something more. You can play My Sweet Confession by clicking here.
Tumblr media
Last but not least, we’re making steady progress on another upcoming title, Drops of Death, a murder mystery VN where the killer is randomly chosen at the start of the game–with a romantic twist where players can date the killer.
Tumblr media
We’ve been working on the routes for the main cast, including Detective Singh, Fawn, Edwin, and Natasha. The artwork for these characters is also a work in progress, including the main character Adrien, an MC with customizable pronouns.
Tumblr media
We’re happy to share these character CGs! Enjoy~ And we hope you look forward to more Drops of Death updates along with other game updates next month! - Snowhaven Studios

Hi Morgan, it’s been a while! I know everyone else has been telling you similar things but I just wanna say it too, but you really did singlehandedly rekindle a love of reading for me. Like I was reading things but not nearly as much I do now, something about your writing just flows so well and makes you want more. It’s hard to put into words. I started picking up books and VN I had been reading but didn’t finish and even saved a lot of your recommendations cause I got excited about reading again. You really are one of a kind! How was the ramune vanilla ice cream btw?
EVERYONE STOP GIVING ME COMPLIMENTS IM LITERALLY GOING TO BAWL IN PUBLIC! I don't have to words to explain how much this touched me 🥲🥲🥲🥲 I totally understand how someone can fall out of love with reading I actually think school has a lot to do with how people perceive reading and how it sucks all the joy out of the wonders of reading!!! I'm so glad I could rekindle your love of reading I'm going to cryyyyy

Tumblr media
This side blog is for my rekindled love of yandere content T_T *happy tears*
I use this blog to write about various characters from different Yandere focused VNs and others characters in Yandere fashion. Also I write for my OC's, I'll explain more down below.
Feel free to call me Lady Yandere or just Lady! Lady Rose🌹 is fine too.
Tumblr media
Blog rules:
💔First off my blog is 18+ So NO Minors. No Ageless blogs. Do Not Interact. This is a Yandere blog there will be dark and frightening content, please respect my rules. If not you're getting Blocked🚫, I don't have patience for rule breakers. Make sure your age is in your bio or a pinned post so I don't block you by mistake. I do check frequently.

I write F!Reader mostly. FanFic, imagines and headcannons. I have a Master list here:
Masterlist📗
I add to it and edit it so check here before requesting!
I have a character list here:
Character list📘
I'm still adding characters to it so feel free to ask, I might write it if I know the characters well enough, if not then most likely not, but characters already on the list are fair game. Just ask!
I will accept V.N. characters, Otome, and anime character requests.
I have Yandere OC's that I write about, they are here:
My OC's📙
Each OC has an intro post about them, feel free to ask questions, send them to my inbox!
I'm always making new characters so keep an eye on the list, you may see a new face.
I love questions so don't be shy!
Concerning all characters, My OC's or other works, if you have something in mind just ask me, I promise I don't bite...(^_<)~☆
Tumblr media
I don't condone any of the behavior of the characters from any yandere V.N.'s I play or Yandere headcanons I make or any of my OC's, they are fictional, this blog is for entertainment purposes. (People should not be acting like this in real life!)
Tumblr media
If I have to add any rules later for whatever reason you'll find them here.
Also all banners I use here and on my posts (if I use them) are by @leafsea
If you have made it this far then awesome! I hope you enjoy what I write!

i generally dont quit bad anime with a short run because i have too much fun torturing myself with obscenely terrible garbage, but the problem with ro-kyu-bu is that its like. 90% stuff that's so boilerplate and inoffensive that there isnt anything to laugh about, it's just a blandly executed sports drama about rekindling one's love for basketball, but the stuff that IS bad isnt really stuff you laugh at, it's either stuff that makes you sigh but rolls off you like water off a duck's back because you survived this era of anime and it means nothing to you anymore, or it's so deeply revolting to you that joking about it would be unthinkable.
so there's like. nothing to say. what quip is to be made about the grade schooler maid outfit faux-panty shot? either you just sighed and said "yep, early 2000s VN adaptation for you" in a beleaguered way, or you sat upright in your seat and announced what the fuck. either way there isnt a joke to be made in there

I feel like you can argue that Archer didn't fight with a reason, and that's why he became a machine. He fought for an ideal, but it was borrowed, he didn't have any reason backing it up.
I feel like if you view it that way, it shows why UBW Shirou probably wouldn't become just a machine like Archer, because he reinforced his dream and he has a genuine reason for fighting, which strengthens that belief. He's not just fighting for someone else's ideals for no reason.
So, when Archer says fighting without a reason just makes you a machine, I personally took it to mean he was saying that there wasn't a reason behind his ideals. They were just borrowed ideals with nothing to back them up, so he became nothing more than a machine upholding those ideals.
I do agree, but at some point, I feel that the ideal becomes the reason. In the same way, Saber tried so hard to be ideal, it became the reason she fought, the reason she sought the Grail—though Archer fought for an ideal, his survivor’s guilt and the promise he made were his reasons to fight, even if it was borrowed, it’s still a reason to fight? It was the reason the ideal was even made and became something he kept seeking. His wish to save everyone didn’t just stem from a borrowed ideal. Although that’s what Archer says, he did have reasons, good ones even, but he just became embittered with it all after becoming a murderer via Counter guardian. His ideal was yes, stems from Kiritsugu wanting to save everyone, but Archer is the fully realized Kerry. He didn’t want to save everyone because he knew he couldn’t—his whole reason to fight was ‘never to see people cry around him’, the ideal originally being for no one to die. (And you could dive deep into the survivor’s guilt and absolution of protecting the little boy who ‘died’ in the fire by his doing so is reason enough but he just doesn’t realize it hence in the VN he quotes angrily to himself (not actually speaking to Shirou but venting his own anger out at himself) that ‘in the beginning, you didn’t know what to save’.) He had his reasons but the trauma of everything and not fully understanding it nor ever dealing with it made him latch hungrily onto the dream and ideal of Kerry’s.
When Shirou reinforces his beliefs to say ‘so what it’s borrowed/fake?’ It was the same as Archer’s. Archer just lost hope and needed the fire rekindled. Hence the epilogue shows that despite his loss, despite how he still loathes himself, he wouldn’t find salvation but he did find ‘salvation’. He needed someone to tell him he wasn’t wrong, that the path he chose was his own and he found that answer with ‘himself’.
In the same way, Archer finds his answers (though not confrontational as UBW) in Fate Route and Heaven’s Feel, it’s only given subtly, and mind you I’m speculating from how Nasu says Archer found fulfillment in all three routes, but when Archer realizes that Shirou chose Sakura over his ideal, and Saber over the War, he realizes that he did have choices, and the borrowed ideal was not just Kiritsugu’s but his own or that he made it his own. At the same time, he’s proud that Shirou got to choose a life of humanity, and save someone both from despair and mortal danger—the latter part what Archer couldn’t/didn’t accomplish.
Though reason and ideals are overlapping but wholly different, it’s just the same as a heroic spirit made by fame and a heroic spirit/Counter guardian made from Alaya. At the end, it accomplishes the same goal and is used the same for justification of one’s life and choices.
Nameless stating that I see more as another nod to the fact he isn’t OG Archer. Where Archer learns that the ideal (and his entire reason of just not wanting to see people cry around him) leads him to a mechanical life of constantly ‘saving’ via killing, Nameless doesn’t become a CG (I assume/been told/wiki-dived years ago) so Nameless sees someone killing for no reason as a heartless machine, not understanding that ideals and reasons can very well lead to the same conclusion.

Hey, it's been a hot minute
I'm not into mha anymore, but I'll find some time to reread the manga to rekindle that old flame 👍
Been getting into VNs lately tho. I def recommend Sweetest Valentine by syllphana
I did say I was gonna make a video essay and fic abt it in their comments... I know it's been like 6 months, but I'm working on it I swear. On and off—whenever I get the motivation ;_;
I've already written an outline for the fic and figured out a good title. The script's... Six pages. Progress and morale is at an all-time low, sigh
Anyway, I'll be active from here on out. Gonna go back to Genshin. Bye

Higurashi Sotsu Thoughts - Episode 11
Well, there went all the momentum from Episode 10...
Honestly, it doesn't warrant much thought. If you haven't watched this episode, you're honestly fine skipping it. It wasn't bad but it was extremely unnecessary and just compounded every issue with Oniakashi even further.
The one redeeming fact about it was that it was a shockingly strong point in favor of my old Three-Way Thunderdome theory. Didn't expect that to still potentially be live but here we are.
Anyway, that's all I have on Sotsu. I'm going back to working on my AU and my fan arc and maybe I'll actually start reading through the VN like I keep telling myself to do. If there's one good thing Sotsugou's done, it's rekindled my love and interest in the franchise, which is still built on an incredibly solid foundation.

Do you know of any video games with an explicitly lesbian character? Bonus points for each of the following that apply: She's a happy relationship, she's NOT a villain, she does not die, she is important/a party member rather than a one-note NPC, or she is the protagonist.
I might be able to come up with a few. Though much of my library consists of games with female protagonists, I don’t specifically aim for lesbian content, so this list is not at all representative – it’s just stuff I happen to have played lately.  I hope you like visual novels!
(Note that this list includes both lesbian and bisexual protagonists, though in the latter case I’ve tried to pick ones where it’s possible to end the game in a non-tragic relationship with a woman.)
Black Closet - A dice-rolling strategy sim where you play as the leader of an autocratic student council. There are ways for it to end happily, but there are also many ways for it to end poorly, and your political enemies may use the protagonist’s orientation against her, should they discover it. Arguably breaks your “no villains” rule, as the protagonist has definite villain vibes in spite of being the player character.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel - A run-and-gun shooter with heavy loot grinding elements. One of the four playable characters, Athena, is a lesbian – her orientation is textually explicit, but not particularly relevant to the story. (She does turn up engaged to marry a woman in another game in the series, albeit as an NPC; as far as I’m aware, she’s consistently single during her tenure as a playable character.)
Even the Ocean - A semi-nonviolent momentum based puzzle platformer with VN story segments. The protagonist can start a relationship with another woman during the course of the game. Fair warning: the ending is high on the tragedy scale, though not for any reason related to their relationship. (In the interest of not spoiler-bombing this blog’s entire readership, message me if you want details.)
Ghosts of Miami - An extremely 1980s murder mystery VN in the mode of Phoenix Wright, plus light dating sim elements. The protagonist has both male and female romance options, which end about as well as romance in a detective story ever does (which is to say that most of the people you can date have Issues™, but the same-gender options aren’t particularly singled out for it).
Heartbeat - A traditional turn-based RPG with light monster training elements. Great writing and peppy Super Nintendo style graphics. This one’s something of an edge case; while the cast contains numerous women in relationships with other women, and playable party members often flirt with or display crushes on other ladies, the protagonist herself is merely implied to be into ladies.
Heaven Will Be Mine - A self-described visual novel about “irresponsible lesbians and giant robots” from the creators of We Know the Devil (see below). Whether you end up in a happy romance depends on how you define “happy” and “romance”; in keeping with the game’s explicit conflation of transgender themes with transhuman themes, some of the endings are pretty esoteric!
Her Tears Were My Light - A short and sweet visual novel about the anthropomorphic personification of Space courting the anthropormorphic personification of Time. Some of the endings are happy and some are not, but owing to the protagonist’s nature they’re arguably all canon. Be sure to check out the rest of the creator’s library, too – it’s largely in the same vein, if not quite so high concept as this one.
Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt - A retro RPG where you magically enter sick people’s bodies to fight their illnesses bullet-hell style. The protagonist’s highschool ex-girlfriend is a prominent NPC (which here means that she has more than two lines of dialogue), and you can rekindle your relationship at the end, though the latter is partly a joke – the game will let you marry literally any NPC in the game.
Queen of Thieves - A light dating sim/dungeon crawler hybrid about a trio of sisters who form an adventuring party to search for their missing mother. I’ll be honest, the writing isn’t great, and the mechanics are only so-so, but I found it to be an engaging time-waster. Plus, there are just enough same-gender romance options to pair every single party member up with a lady, which is novel.
Super Lesbian Animal RPG (forthcoming) - A traditional turn-based RPG with a trans lesbian protagonist. You start out already in a happy relationship, and in fact can make out with your girlfriend in battle for stat buffs. This is only a demo for a forthcoming game, so I can’t rule out the possibility that their relationship will end tragically in the full version, but given the game’s tone I rather doubt that will be the case.
Ticket to Earth - An oddball cross between a minifigs-on-a-grid tactical RPG and a match-three puzzler set during a planetary revolution. The main character starts out in a relationship with another woman. In the interest of full disclosure, I haven’t gotten around to finishing this one yet, so I don’t know if their relationship ends badly or not – maybe someone who has can clue us in!
We Know the Devil - From the same creator as Heaven Will Be Mine (see above), this one’s a visual novel about a trio of girls at a Christian summer camp who’ve been forced to participate in a bizarre ritual that culminates with fighting the Devil. Definitely not light reading; homophobia and transphobia are prominent themes, and there’s some (generally text-only) body horror in places.

First Impressions of Fureraba -Friend to Lover-
Tumblr media
In the VN community, you’ll sometimes stumble upon people who refuse to read anything that “doesn’t have a plot”—people who refuse to read anything that could be classified as a charage or moege. They’ll say that they wouldn’t be able to enjoy a VN that focuses entirely on romance.
I was one of these people.
I first started rethinking my earlier prejudice against the moege genre after I played Princess Evangile and its fandisc, however, I still had some qualms with the main routes (i.e. they were boring.) I thought maybe this was just the one moege that really clicked with me. However, Fureraba has been an utter joy from the entirety of the first route I’ve played through, to the route I’m currently progressing on.
I tried it out on a whim, but I was drawn in by the comedy displayed in the prologue. The heroines all stood out to me as people I could see myself meeting, be it Rina, the protagonist’s friend, who he is always jokingly fighting with (which was reminiscent of my own friendships), or Himari, the girl he knew as a kid but drifted apart from over the years. There was also Hiiragi, a fiery redhead (I’m allowed to say this because I am also a redhead) who was trying to make a connection outside of school before the protagonist accidentally faceplanted into her underwear—I normally hate this but I love the way they played it off here—and with a little more hijinks she became hostile towards him, and later dropped a line which accurately describes the way I see most moege protagonists.
Tumblr media
And then, the prologue ended, and I was able to choose to approach a girl. I realized that I hadn’t even MET one of the four heroines, Misaki. I thought, how am I supposed to know if I like her if I hadn’t even met her yet? Looking back, that might be the entire point of not having met her yet. Since the protagonist is actively looking for a girlfriend, what better way to prove that he’s trying than to have him approach a girl he doesn’t know entirely?
Minor spoilers ahead:
Funnily enough, you have to attempt to approach her three times before you can even see her face. This is all due to the fact that her classmates and even her teachers have made a ton of ridiculous assumptions about her; thinking that she’s the daughter of a councilman, has a fiancé, is a genius, etc., so they all try to keep you from approaching her because they don’t think you’re good enough for her. In the end, she’s the one who approaches you, by pure coincidence of you dropping your wallet and her picking it up. You discover she’s nothing more than a regular girl who just wants to make real connections with other people. She has no friends because everyone puts her on a pedestal.
Tumblr media
This is a consistent theme in Misaki’s route. I really appreciated the scene where she gets upset with the protagonist for treating her like she is some pure angel that shouldn’t be touched. She’s a normal girl with normal feelings who wants to be treated with respect, but also as an equal. You don’t see characters like that very often.
I’m currently making my way through the rest of the routes. I’m working my way through the childhood friend route, and so far I am greatly enjoying the way the VN is handling it. There’s a lot of awkward tensions between the protagonist and Himari because while they grew up together, they drifted apart over the years and are just now rekindling their friendship. There’s also a scene where she casually lets it drop that she had a crush on the protagonist when they were kids, and that’s the part that really sparks his romantic interest in her.
I also love the dynamic their mothers have as long-time besties. They’re constantly teasing Himari and the protagonist about getting married one day, and those scenes are absolutely hilarious.
Tumblr media
I’m very glad I picked this up; it’s really clicked with me and I’m never bored reading it. I’m thrilled to play the rest of the routes, as the girls I’ve saved for last seem really special. If you’re looking for a good, funny moege, I’d definitely recommend you pick this one up.
