red bull: daniel’s bad habits from mclaren are fixed, he did well in the sim, and his tire test was so good that we immediately knew he was ready to be in a car.
alpha tauri & yuki: daniel’s feedback on the car has been instrumental, and he performed so well in difficult race conditions even though he didn’t have any upgrades and had some bad luck.
rando twitter user who doesn’t have the data, didn’t know liam lawson’s name three weeks ago, and constantly insults the way red bull quickly drops drivers who don’t perform: they’re only letting him drive for pr even though he’s a washed up failure.

Thoughts on Purgatory Day 4:
God what a fun day, and yet funnily enough a much more relaxed one.
It's gonna be interesting to see what the ramifications of blue's logout strat are gonna be because it's definitely going to be banned, but, from my understanding, blue used this strat to prove a point: that red's strategy was unfair.
Which is true, or at least I think it was true.
Personally, I feel like it was mostly unfair due to how difficult it used to be to get to global, but I feel like the admins have pretty fairly counteracted that and balanced things with today's introduction of the spawn portals.
Because with red's strat players HAD to physically travel to global and turn in the contracts within at least the last 30 minutes of gameplay. The portals now easily allow other teams to show up and at least put up a good fight, and we actually got to see how effective they are today with cellbit and charlie's assist they pulled for roier. If they had been just slightly quicker, green might've been able to steal back the win.
Which I think brings me to the other potentially unfair part of red's strat that I've seen be brought up which is that it isn't fair for streamers in European timezones/streamers who play earlier. Which is a fair criticism, but honestly I haven't personally been able to think of a way for the admins to balance the contracts around that without either: A) completely changing how contracts work, or B) unfairly punishing later streamers.
I think it's complicated, and I feel like the main thing that's gonna result from today isn't going to be them banning turning in tasks late but instead banning logging out right in front of the global NPCs. Knowing the admins, they'll probably figure out something I hadn't thought of and make the whole thing more fair for everyone.
Competition and lore wise, tomorrow is gonna be really interesting as well. A small alliance might be blooming between red and green and that might have massive ramifications going forward. That and I think (???????) that players might be getting their eggs tomorrow (?????). I know they described a period in which they had to keep them alive and the actual event ends on the 10th so I'm guessing they're arriving tomorrow. If they are, that shit is going to be crazy.
(Side note: It was also a delight to see teams casually hanging out more together today. As much as I enjoy the competition, I missed them all just chilling)
Overall, congrats blue on the win! Cheesy as fuck and they knew it but it was absolutely deserved! They worked their asses off! And green put up a hell of a fight! I hope they get their chance to win as well tomorrow!

Did anyone else get that feeling that the texture/color of Romeo's hair looked like a bleach job gone wrong?(Unlike P's curly brown locks, which I agree are resistant to fire unlike Romeo getting caught in PK's explossion but my point remains). A healthy number of Lampwick depiction has him with red/auburn hair (wether this is an actual book thing or not I have no idea), so I have this headcanon that while the lamp post jokes never got to him, ginger jokes definitely did
I think I've seen a mention floating around about that! I do like that headcanon, especially with how you explain it with the jokes aimed at him!
But I'm gonna go with the thought that-- no, I don't think he bleached his hair. I think he really is that blond... His eyebrows look very strawberry blond in this image here, prior to getting cooked over-easy and you can also see his roots are pretty natural looking? With all the detail the devs put into this game, I would assume they would have added some different colored roots to show that sort of thing, but I could also be wrong!
Also, kinda would be hard to keep up with keeping your roots nice and bleached when the world is dying all around you, y'know? Also, take it from someone who has a lot of red in their hair, and has friends who are redheads: Bleaching wouldn't make it nice and pale like this. It would make it... super saiyan yellow. Cartoonishly yellow. Even if you bleach it repeatedly, it wouldn't be this nice and light!
As for texture, considering he was only created to be used and discarded? I don't think Geppetto cared to put any love and attention to his hair. Just enough to emulate how he used to look, but that's strictly my thoughts and theory, at that point.
REGARDLESS, I adore the idea that he was naturally a redhead and spent so long painstakingly bleaching it! The amount of stories and situations that could come from it, the ideas that are born from it-- I'm all here for it. Give me those fics. That art. Feed my soul with this concept ♡ I love the idea of Carlo finding out his best friend's hair is naturally red and Romeo confiding in him over it, because it's something he's super self conscious over.
Maybe in some stories, he learns to like his natural hair color? ♡ Ugh, the potential. But yeah, these are just my thoughts!!

It kills me how little self-preservation Carmen has, how much she disregards her personal safety. She decides not to see Gray again not because of the reasonable concerns Player mentions, but because she fears putting Gray in danger. Her safety does not come into play in the equation.
And, sure, her "occupation" is always dangerous but she's never trying that hard to stay safe. Whatever is necessary to get the job done.
