COVID UPDATE- TW
For the most part, my friends and followers are unaware of this, but for the past couple days I've been going through the stages that come after receiving my dreadful positive covid test.
I'm not quite sure of what day I am on officially but to give you an idea of where I at - I started showing symptoms when my mom tested positive on Wednesday, May 4th (the force was not with us that day.) And I originally tested negative that day but already felt a little sick. Fast forward to Thursday, May 5th and my sinuses were awful and ding, ding, ding! I'm positive.
So, I guess it's sort of day 3½? of Covid and my throat hurts now and I'm trying not to talk much at the moment. My coughing seldom compared to what I've heard from others but is on the cusp of being really sharp now whenever it happens, making my throat hurt more. Hurray! 😒 taste is gone and smell is bad too atm..
As for my symptoms,
Up until yesterday, it was acute sinuses and a slight (but very scary heavy) cough. I went onto a coughing spell on Thursday that scared me enough to beg the doctor for meds cause it was looking like either that or the emergency at that moment.
Currently, sinuses are stuffed, I have horrible insomnia, rough cough and sore throat. 🙃
Posting to see what other people have experienced cause I hear that day 5 gets worse but nobody is really talking about the symptoms with 2 or more vaccines...
If anyone can relate, please let me know and feel free to ask me any questions too!!
And because I know it's a frequently asked question in covid talk,
Just to clarify, I have had two Pfizer vaccines and was awaiting my third, which last month I qualified for but procrastinated because I knew it would likely cause me to take time off work (as most people like me with autoimmune issues have to do.) And already have no sick days left as I've had some health issues earlier in the year so I was quite hesitant to take a pay hit. Though, I have also not gone places without my mask, despite recent mandatory actions being lifted. And take great precautions as my mom and grandmother have health issues as well.
More updates to come but for now I'm gonna rest! Make sure to get your shot cause I honestly can't imagine how bad this would be right now without them.
Stay safe and keep wearing masks! I had someone in the family who refused and that is why my mom and I are sick! Masks do help and if they were still mandatory I can almost guarantee we wouldn't have covid19 right now.

I once had an 80 some-odd year old prof ramble about how the classic comedic silhouette is a juxtaposition of an upright, thin character with a shorter, more robust one for half an hour in what was supposed to be a lecture about Don Quixote. It took us about ten minutes to figure out what the fuck he was talking about because he just kept showing clicking through a slide show of paired characters from canonical literature and barely explaining himself. He also kept using weird old-timey phrase to describe ‘tall and skinny’ and ‘short and fat’ so it was impossible for us to decipher him.
Anyway, this was around the same I got back into homestuck for the first time in years, so the synapses crossed and now it’s also the perfect rosemary silhouette in my mind.

COVID
summary: matt ends up getting covid however his best friend has it to. maybe a sickness can turn into something more
warnings: none
when chirs said pray for nick in the previous car video and him shutting it down immediately thinking that it was just alergies, he didn't expect it to turn into a actuall sickness let alone covid-19
when nick found out he had covid, the first thing he did was tell his brothers as well as his best friend to take a test to see if either of them were sick as they had all hung out together. when it came down to the first set of tests all of them were positive except chris.
scarlet wanted to go home she really did, but at the same time that was the last thing that she wanted, she wanted to be by her best friends even if they were all sick, she wanted to get through this together. plus matt insisted on her staying with them saying that she shouldn't be alone.
he opted for her to stay in his room as it would make the most sense considering that the girl more then likely caught it on the same day that he did. what she didnt know however was the boy had harbored a little crush on the girl and thought that maybe this was the week they would be able to hopefully mend out their feelings for each other. he told his brothers this plan and they as well thought this was a stupid idea that would end badly but he insisted so they let him. which led to where they are now
the first couple of days into the quarantine was a mess, the two were miserable and couldnt even get up to eat. on around day two nick had informed them that they would each have to vlog separately in their rooms together for the wendsday video to be out in time. the others agreed which has led them to be vlogging about their days in quarintine.
scarlet was on matts bed scolling on her phone hearing matt talk into the camara about the quarintine life saying all they have been doing was sleep, play fortnite and watch movies witch was verry much true, however scarlet was getting bored of watching matt play on his computer, see she hadnt brought much for herself to do besides the few things she originaly had in her car, but other then that she was bored out of her mind.
"matttt..." scarlet winned
"what?" matt asked the girl turning around in his game chair
"im bored, can we please, please watch the eras tour movie again?" scarlet begged from the bed needing something for her to do
"again? really" matt sighed but he did feel bad because she did look really bored in his room, plus he had a soft spot for the girl
"yes, please, we can finish saltburn" she once again tried conveing him
"fine" matt told the girl getting into the sheets and pulling up youtube.
even though she was sick she couldnt get away from watching anything to do with taylor swift. as the intro to miss americana and the heartbreak prince played scarlet cuddled closer to matt making him lean into her body heat. as the movie went on he couldn't help but admire the girl laying next to him. her hair was a mess and looked like it hadent been washed in days, her skin was breaking out a little becuase of her little skincare, and she had slightly dark under eye circles, however she looked gorgeous to the boy.
she kept singing along to the songs while matt just looked at her in awe the whole time. when the cords of the 1 started to play scarlet got up to pause the TV, confusing matt in a second
"i thought you loved folklore" matt asked
"aww you pay attetion" scarlet teased the boy
"what of corse i do, now why did you pause it, is there something wrong?" matt asked concern laced all over his face
"no...you just keep staring at me like im this beautiful princess that just got out of the water" scarlet told the boy
"is that such a bad thing" matt asked once again confused
"no its just i look like a huge mess right now and youre looking at me more then you normaly do" scarlet told the now blushing boy running a hand through her hair
"i dont look at you. what??" matt defended scratching the back of his neck
"oh come on yes you do, its okay though im fine with it, if you don't want to watch this we can watch something else" scarlet told him letting the TV switch to saltburn
"scarlet, thats not what i said" matt told the girl
"no its fine"
sense neither of the two had seen the movie and didnt know what was happening they didnt even think that they were watching this movie with their best friend until a wired scene came up wich made matt immediately switch it back to youtube, wich made scarlet confused
over the next couple of days matt had been filming himself for the video witch has been making scarlet go crazy. see like matt she also harbored secret feelings for the boy she just didnt think he felt any where close to what she felt until she watched him do pushups.
"okay! thats it, i cant take it anymore, you cant just do that and expect me to be okay with it" scarlet sighed in frustration
"what are you talking about" matt asked
" first you're really wired with me while we were watching the eras tour, then you turned off saltburn, now youre doing pushups!" scarlet rabbled
" i still dont understand what youre talking about here, what am i doing wrong" matt asked really confused at his best friend right now
" because i like you, you idiot and you keep giving me these signals that you might like me back but at the same time not even egnologing im there sometimes. like sometimes i belive you actully like me then other times i think oh wow maybe he dosent actully like me and those little stares from across the room are really-"
scarlet gets cut off with a pair of lips on hers. the kiss was slow but filled with passion, she kissed back immediatly when she realized what was happening. years of pent up tension finally being realised into one kiss. matt was the first to break the kiss, his hand still on her check.
"i like you too, trust me i really do" matt told the girl leaning back in
the two kissing for about a minute longer breaking it, needing air
"is it wired that we just confessed our feelings for each other and kissed while also sick" scarlet asked throwing her head back with laughter
"yeah probably" matt said also joining the laughter
"when were not sick anymore let me take you out on a date" matt propsed to the girl
"i like that idea" scarlet said leaning back into the kiss
safe to say that they didnt get much filming done after that, and when nick didnt have as much footage for the video as he wanted he instantly called matt. and him saying that the two had finally confesed, which made nick call chris and the two exchanged words of suprise and proudness to their brother.
who knew covid would bring two people together

Okay but like can we talk about how good his solo music is..? Because since I decided to give it a listen to I've been obsessed with it! I watched an interview that YouTube has been recommending me about that EP, and HE PRODUCED AND WROTE IT ALL BY HIMSELF WHILE IN QUARINTINE 2020. That's absolutely fucking wild to me. "Salute The Sanguine", "Run away from the Sun", and "Saternine Saturnalia" are all beautiful songs. I love the instrumentals on all of those tracks. "Salute the Sanguine" has gotta be my absolute favorite out of them but still I love all of those songs from that EP. I haven't listened to I guess the tease of his newer stuff yet, but I'm thinking once that album comes out in January I will. I want to see him on tour already, but unfortunately he doesn't have a date anywhere near my city. I requested that city, so I guess we will see..? Pretty bummed though. I guess what will be interesting is this will be his first tour since HIM disbanded back in 2017. He's been in Helsinki since he returned from that trip and hasn't traveled since. So I can only hope it goes well for him!! And I can also hope he might add a tour date to my city or close to it, and not 8 hours away :)
