Hello everyone, and welcome to a remastered Masterlist of Quantum Leap Novels included on the Web Archive of Archive.org!
This is not a definitive list -- yet-- of every single Quantum Leap Novel on the archive; that post can be found here. from @fandomjoy ! Instead, this will be a WIP Masterpost of the "Remastered" Quantum Leap Novels, as they're uploaded them to the archive with the help of some volunteers !
What does "remastered" mean in this sense? Well, to start, all of the novels originally on the archive were just PDFs. and by PDFs I mean almost raw book scans, sephia background with black text and everything. Great for finding them in the first place, but not very accessible for people who need larger text, more contrast, or need some kind of audio format.
So, the "remastered" Quantum Leap novels that are linked in this post have been painstakingly edited from those original PDFs into actual, readable, editable Word Documents that were then exported into EPUBs (Generic ebook format, widely used), MOBI (old kindle format) AZW3, (new kindle format(?)) and clean PDFs of black text on a blank white background.
So now, you can download the file format of your choice; everything except PDF should have the option on your ereader or ereader app (ReadEra is my top Android recc, and Calibre for PC) to increase the font size, color, font style, and a ton of background and color options for more accessible reading!
and that's not all ! These links will also include homemade audiobooks of the Quantum Leap Novels, created using the program Balabolka :)

1/24/2023: Book 15: heatwave is currently being re-edited to make a cleaner page scan (no watermarks or fingers visible) and then it will get the Epubs, mobies, clean PDF, audiobooks, etc uploaded once the OCR has been cleaned up. 4/3/2023 done! original pdf has been cleaned up and reuploaded as an edit, and the other files will follow in the next hour or so.

This is my personal repository for the QL books in digital format. I have some version of most of them, but there are a few gaps and most have not been fully converted. However, I have successfully read several without having cleaned up the OCR text so they're not that bad.
Please enjoy - I'm working with @walks-the-ages in an attempt to get all of them available as nice eBooks on the Internet Archive -- eventually ^_^
Also if anyone is interested in filling gaps, I recommend the Android app vFlat for capturing pages and converting to digital text.

I’m feeling under the weather and don’t feel like going to bed, so I’m resurrectingthis post I left unfinished in the drafts:
I’ve been having some thoughts about this one novel I bought a while ago: Obsessions by Carol Davis.
Besides basically being about Sam trying and failing to fix a relationship all while being upset that Al won’t tell him the truth about shit, the Project finds itself going up against Not Saul Goodman and a random woman Sam used to write letters to prior to meeting Donna (and who is claiming to have been married to him prior to Donna, except this is a lie).
And while there’s a lot about this book I wish to share (translation: I am going to make a separate post of out-of-context screencaps), there’s one particular moment that has been living rent free in my head: the moment where Al (in no uncertain terms) essentially states a fear he has that, because of Sam’s Swiss Cheese memory, he’s been giving Sam a new personality different from how he was prior to leaping.
Like, this concept fucking intrigues me: Obviously Al is being paranoid. I refuse to believe that Sam was any fundamentally different from before he started leaping. Did he have a lack of patience? Obviously. Who doesn’t? But with the basic concept of leaping, Sam is basically rediscovering himself, and allowing himself to experience new things. Maybe he could’ve enjoyed fishing prior to entering the Acceleration Chamber; he didn’t give himself the chance to try. Even with most of his memory gone, the fundamentals are still there. I am unable to think of any probability that Sam was any different prior to that first leap.
But fact that Al is afraid that he’s manipulating Sam, however, speaks volumes. Because of all the red tape Sam put into place beforehand, he can’t just out and out tell Sam everything he needs to remember, so he just drip feeds him what he’s able to, and Sam has to fill in the blanks. But what Sam needs to be drip fed changes depending on the leap: whether it’s knowing how to play piano, knowing how to defend himself, to even knowing who he’s lost. So in that mindset, why wouldn’t Al be afraid? In that mindset, telling an amnesiac what they need to know in order to do something, and then clinging on to that as being the truth, is a daunting thought to have.
And if someone wasn’t of a good moral standing, they can take advantage of that. To manipulate someone to be someone they aren’t, to change history not for the better, but for themselves.
For example:
Or in other words, I think “Obsessions” made me realize exactly what the fuck was going on with Alia and the Evil Leaper Project.
We know fuck all about her and why she’s been leaping, outside of what we know from Zoey. That whole deal with “climbing out of hell” in order to ruin lives, about how Alia was required to harm or kill people, to do evil. But there was something more going on than what we were being told. Sam outright says it even:
“You can't kill me, Alia. Because I know that somewhere inside of you, there's a woman who feels the same things I do. The same loneliness, the same fear.”
“You're not evil, Alia. Whatever trapped you in time is.”
While she was tasked with doing wrong, deep down, she knows that isn’t her true nature. But she’s only going off of what Zoey and Lothos were telling her.
Al has been telling Sam the truth, but is unsure it’s with Sam’s interests in mind.
Zoey has been lying to Alia, fully aware that it isn’t with her intentions in mind.
TL;DR: With the parallels between Sam and Alia in mind, along with that passage from “Obsessions”, I have come to the conclusion that Alia is like Sam in more ways than one: that she is the one who created the other Project, but that Zoey and the others took advantage of her amnesia to fuck over the timeline.
And she had no idea of the truth, because she’s relying on what she’s been told.

Oh DUDE! I had an intense Quantum Leap moment in college. I still have Quantum Leap novels, a QL sweatshirt from my friend @allisonpregler , a QL coffee cup with Sam on it, and SEVERAL sam/al fics on my ao3. I haven’t drawn fanart but if you go in my quantum leap tag there’s definitely fanart there. Oh also:

Researchers at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ) have successfully developed a new technique for deciphering the properties of light and matter that can simultaneously detect and precisely quantify many substances with high chemical selectivity. Their technique interrogates the atoms and molecules in the ultraviolet spectral region at very feeble light levels. Exciting prospects for conducting experiments in low-light conditions pave the way for novel applications of photon-level diagnostics, such as precision spectroscopy of single atoms or molecules for fundamental tests of physics and ultraviolet photochemistry in the Earth's atmosphere or from space telescopes. The work is published today in the scientific journal Nature.
