Light's Perfect Plan | chapter 7: possessive

“Turn around now,” L said. “I’m ready for you.” Light scooted his chair around. The false smile he painted on melted away the moment he faced L. Pretending attention proved unnecessary. L’s phone calls returned to him and made sudden sense. Gone was the white long sleeve and baggy jeans – instead, L stood before Light in Misa’s clothes. He wore two pieces Light recalled the model showing off before – a red-patterned pleated skirt and black ribbed pullover, the collar trimmed in fake white fur. No stockings or tights, just L’s bare legs shaved smooth as they’d never been before. Most notable in this costume, however, wasn’t the clothing or his legs but L’s hair. “Do you like it?” L touched his dark curling twin tails, running both hands down their length. “I wasn’t sure what to wear. Amane has so many outfits.”

(L gets jealous that Light is thinking about Misa after she gets evidence against Higuchi. He takes matters into his own hands to show Light that he must not be ignored.)
