Baddddd bad bad bad very sad
My head hurts, the pressure makes me feel like it's being squeezed and crushed by rubber bands ... from sinus inflammation and dehydration and not eating probably isn't helping
I feel like I want to cry again but I'm trying to stop myself so I won't make the pain even worse
This is only, what, a week into dst? Not even winter yet.. Seasonal affective disorder is going in for the kill this year I guess. I don't know what im going to do because I'm so tired, physically and mentally and just tired of my life, there's no fight in me left. And no one will or can help me. I'm my family's least favorite and so i get the least help, doctors won't take my health seriously, my partner needs more time, possibly more than a year, before moving in with me with me somewhere. I can't afford to live on my own. I barely have energy to keep collecting scraps of money to show as income so I can continue getting food assistance.
I had a spark of hope for a while but it feels like it was a mistake to let myself have it. How much longer can I lie to myself and say "one more year until it gets better"? I mean, I can't. That illusion is broken. So what can I tell myself? It truly feels like there's nothing. Things keep getting worse. I tried so hard, I really did. I'm exhausted. Truly utterly exhausted.
Unless anyone out there (just like, the world not @-ing Tumblr dot com) has a spare 20 grand or something they'd just hand to me to live off for "one more year" (and then some) and detox from my miserable quality of life, surviving it barely even sounds appealing knowing that my physical and mental health I'll be another year WORSE than where it is now. And even then. There's not guarantee it ends there :''') its an estimate, an "if I'm lucky" estimate and it's not even considerably lucky to be in this position.
I genuinely don't know how I'm gonna keep living like everything is fine and normal while I continue losing steam to make money, make art, care for myself (I'm already down to roughly 2 showers a week and at best 1 real meal a day because I'm so tired), to keep filling out paperwork begging for assistance (I think I'm already overdue for my food stamp update), and watching other people in my family just be handed endless help while I'm patronized with "have you considered painting Christmas ornaments for a living" and interrogated about the validity of my disabilities (which I always fail to prove good enough)
Almost everyone around me is happier than me. Almost everyone else's life is on track and I'm at best simply left behind, and at worst I was someone they stepped on to get what they needed before tossing me to the side.
My life is not only painful and exhausting but humiliating. I don't feel like a person. I don't feel important. I feel like if i did die out of the blue, nobody would say they regret helping me more like people usually say, they'd just talk about how I should have done xyz better and it's my own fault (not a s*icide threat just being hypothetical like literally if i died for any random reason)
Most of everything that's happened in my life, I feel, has validated my chronic sense of worthlessness. Everyone says I'm not but prove it. Someone prove it. Someone put me first. Sacrifice something for me (and not complain what a burden I am on them!). For once. If I wasn't worthless, well, I'd be worth it, without strings attached.
It won't happen. It never happens. I have to dance like a fucking circus animal for people and then beg on my knees I'm entertaining enough to keep alive so I can do it over and over again

fair warning for a bit venty if you're not up for that
chronic illness be like: not sick enough for ER tests to show anything or ER treatments to be helpful. too sick for primary care doc or urgent care to diagnose. specialists are at least two months out. too sick to eat and sleeping only makes you feel more tired than when you went to bed but apparently not being able to eat or get good sleep isn't considered an emergency. but if your sleep quality or diet is poor due to your disabilities and poverty then that's the whole reason you're sick and it's definitely not because you CAN'T eat without it making you violently ill or sleep without massive apneic episodes that your cpap isn't even helping with
like, I'm lucky my primary care doc actually believes me and sees that I'm super sick but like... being stuck in that "not emergent enough but still feeling like you're getting sick enough that it'll kill you possibly before you can see a specialist" is a special kind of hell and I know you get it
Absolutely I get it. It's so frustrating and my situation is quite similar. My primary doctors are wonderful, but since they're not specialists there's only so much they can do. And then I see specialists and they dont do jack shit. I know how frustrating it is and I really hope we both get a break soon. It really shouldnt be so hard to get quality medical care, especially when you're suffering. We shouldnt have to be neglected til we're on death's door to get a chance at care... and even then we can't guarantee anything. It really is a special kind of hell. Im sending you much love and hope.

i dont feel like making my usual posts about legends of tomorrow 6.03 “the ex-factor” and 6.04 “bay of squids” so i’m just gonna do bullet points
6.03:
i still love constantine and zari together but im getting a little tired of seeing them making out with each other. its like ok we get it i just dont need to see it. really funny when behrad came in with his hand over his eyes. me too dude. i did really like their sort of vibe of how they both do have feelings for each other but just aren’t going to admit it. what i didn’t like so much was the melodrama that followed, with constantine feeling hurt that zari told her mother what they had wasn’t serious. and then him telling her that he does want a serious relationship with her. it just didn’t feel like constantine, to be honest. i think that a lot of the fun of constantine’s character is that he will never really change for the better - in that way he’s very suited to comic books, where the status quo tends to prevail and there’s no guarantee character development will last longer than a particular run. but legends of tomorrow doesn’t want a static character like that, so they are changing him in this way. it’s fine, it’s sweet to see, but it’s not what i love about constantine
zari having to deal with her mom trying to set her up with various persian guys and get her married hit close to home for me LOL. hasnt happened to me personally but i have plenty of friends & relatives who have to deal with that and it sucks
i liked seeing zari shift back into superstar mode and i also liked that they showed a hijabi girl as one of the fans squealing over her. i just thought that was a nice allusion to how zari would be such an icon for lots of muslim girls. it sort of complicates constantine’s assumption that zari’s influencer content has no real value for the fans and is just a way to sell them stuff
nate & behrad giving constantine a makeover was really funny
i liked when zari called ava by a nickname. they are besties!!!! i need to see more bestie moments with them
i liked how for zari’s first song the audio was super flawless as though she had recorded the song beforehand and was just lip synching but for her later song you can kind of hear the more crackly live quality with the microphone. good way to make that second one feel more raw and real. it was a really adorable duet i gotta say :p
i thought the overall plot with the alien trying to invade and the legends having to defeat him through song was hilarious. and when he opened his suit and he was just a little guy. and mick STEPPED on him and KILLED him. so silly love this show
i liked seeing how mick was having a rough time dealing with sara’s absence. because he feels like she’s the only one who understands him and without her he feels defeated and aimless. it’s totally opposite to how ava is dealing with sara’s absence, which is to exhaust every possible option to find her because if she stops to consider the possibility that it might be hopeless then it will break her. nice to see spooner getting through to mick, seems like they could become good friends
almost forgot to talk about gary and sara. gary is omnisexual bc he is omnomnoming people. so glad that sara could tell that the ava she encountered was not her ava
6.04:
it’s soooo funny to me that phil klemmer wrote this episode himself. i feel like it’s been forever that he wrote an episode. i’m sure he was like pleeeease let me write this one and the writers room was like uh sure phil. it has all those historical references that you assume someone like him who’s into history would love
the episode is also just kind of like....farcical in a way that i find really hilarious. like the cuban missile crisis was obviously very serious at the time but i feel like the extremely high tension of this situation makes the humor land all the better. i like how the legends’ deceptions and subterfuge sort of mirror the political games being played between the various nations involved in this event. and the miscommunications like mick and spooner delivering a nuclear missile to castro when they definitely should not have done that
nate and zari storyline was fine, not my favorite, but i can see how it would make sense to have this storyline where they figure out how to be friends even though zari looks like nate’s ex. the football stuff was a bit silly but that’s okay. it’s legends it’s allowed to be silly
i thought mick’s trajectory in this episode was good. how he starts out so serious and then when it doesn’t work out he reverts back to his apathetic drunk self but then he is the key to finding a way to sara even though it means kicking everyone else off the waverider to hang out with this alien lady. i still think mick is gay but i’m okay with alien lady as a love interest for him. i mean the inherent queerness of alien fucking and all that

god the skunkblood talk brings me back. i despise cs now and was hoping to just put all of this behind me but the amount of people joining mantafins and not knowing about their previous species is just a bit upsetting to see.
i dont have screenshots for proof, it was years ago and all of these are just taken from my own experience but heres the things ive witnessed
skunkblood doesnt like non hq artists. if you were a non hq artist doing gift or event art of any of their characters you can guarantee that shit was never acknowledged or uploaded to their toyhouse profiles compared to a more high quality artist's art which was uploaded immediately. (friendly reminder alongside this to support your beginners artists!! we all started somewhere)
would constantly offer their species myos to people for their designs or money and then close the species after a week. i wish this was a over exaggeration. and no compensation was given unless brought up to them to which they would offer a 'equal value' myo from their new species. no refunds.
all species were and are cashgrabs. no exceptions. all of them were. once a species became dead and didnt make money it was sold to somebody else.

also yeah. shit tons of dekudogs. i dont have too much hate for dekudogs if its like some big companys design and not a personal character or a really small fandom. but its more so just the fact they were sold as adopts and some of the buyers werent aware that they were dekudogs that irks me. at the very least let your buyers know the design is heavily inspired off a existing one. and if they make the decision to still buy even after that then thats their choice and its good that they are at least aware of it.

leonard does not deserve nearly the amount of hate that he gets. i’m tired of seeing leonard slander every day in the tag, i’m tired of seeing my king in the bottom of every tier list. i’ve seen him put below characters like amy and beth and stephanie who literally ruined every scene they were in. on what planet is leonard worse then an abuser or a fujoshi?
leonard has a lot of great things about him. for starters he’s one of the few nerdy characters that’s doesn’t wear glasses which is important...in a way. this fandom has an apparent “thing” for nerds with characters like noah and cody and harold and being popular. and yet, canonically nerdy characters like sam or leonard get little to no appreciation. it’s like this fandoms only interpretation of a nerd is conventionally attractive/white/skinny person oh, so you like nerds so much until they don’t look like they’re straight out of a tiktok house?
people say that he’s useless and annoying, ok and? the majority of total drama characters are useless and annoying. only 4-5 characters a season ever actually try to win. total drama fans are more forgiving on white characters being useless and annoying compared to their melaninated counterparts because they see the “”potential”” in them. that’s why people are so quick to stan staci or ezekial for...existing? but never consider characters like b or beardo or justin or leonard.
leonard was robbed twice in a row because fresh thinks poc are disposable unless thier arc revolves around the mustiest white boy imaginable. leonard had just as much potential as ezekiel and yet no one talks about it because this fandom actively ignores characters that aren’t white. ridonculous race was at least a few months after pahkitew iirc? they could of shown how much he’s matured since then, they could of given him a real motivation to win, they could of expanded his relationship with tammy; are they dating, are they just close friends? does one attempt to keep the other grounded in reality? how does the rest of the cast react to them? they could of had a character arc about realizing they don’t actually have powers and how to grow from there but since they weren’t a toxic couple with a comphet plot line, fresh immediately disposed of them. and no one cares because leonard isn’t cody-colored.
i’m not saying leonard should of won pahkitew or ridonculous race by any means, i’m not sure the world is ready for that much leonard, (personally i am but i know most total drama fans are cowards) but, you can’t act like it’s not a little suspicious that characters like him, katie, b and beardo were all first boots (with leonard being first boot twice) while the rest of the people of color that made it past the 5th episode were forced into the worst “”romance”” plotlines imaginable. (except for maybe dj, but he still got dealt really shitty plots for no reason >:/) if leonard had hooked up with sugar or if tammy was white i guarantee that fresh would of kept him around much longer.
i know only 5 people actually care for pahkitew but jesus, the lack of leonard art is appalling. leonard easily had one of the cutest designs in the show. i genuinely want to kiss him on the lips, he’s so adorable. that lanky man must truely be a wizard, cause he cast a spell on my heart, i can see what sugar saw in him. however, the only characters people are interested in drawing from the pahkitew cast are jasmine, shawn, sammy, scarlett and um...dave :/ (im not trying to shit on anyones favorite character but like..dave? the incel? ,,.really? :/) and surprise, surprise, 90 percent of that jasmine and dave art is ship art, with a white person. shocker :/. why does no one ship leonard and dave or something? this fandom loves shipping characters that hate each other so much. oh wait i know why, cause this fandom is repulsed by things that don’t involve white twinks. that’s why crack ships like dundie are universally praised to this day while iconic ships like notie are forgotten. (only real ones remember 2008 notie smh)
now for the record, i’m not saying hating leonard automatically makes you racist. i’ve seen a lot of people come in here and claim that not liking dave or sierra or cameron or whatever poc makes you inherently racist. while [white] total drama fans tend to use more explicitly derogatory language in regards to characters of color they don’t like (ex: the way gwanon talks about courtney vs. the way they talk about duncan despite hating both of them) but the difference between leonard and those other people is that leonard is actually well written and doesn’t suck. he only had positive qualities. leonard literally did nothing wrong and he gets so much hate for what??leonard didn’t actively hurt anyone, leonard didn’t commit any crimes, leonard didn’t fetishize someone’s mental illness. so i can’t help but side eye people that say hate leonard..it feels like they simply hate to see a nerdy black non binary wizard winning.
anyway, leonard deserves the entire world and i’m tired of people not recognizing it. so leonard antis ask yourself, why do you hate leonard so much? he’s just a funny wizard boy. and before you ask, yes i sent this is in as my college application.

“Well aren’t I the luckiest girl in the galaxy,” you cooed, slipping a golden ring onto your finger. It fit perfectly, and the three diamonds set in it glittered brilliantly in the starlight. A smile graced your lips as you gazed at it.
The man you’d stolen it from was a head shorter than you and, at present, struggling at the bonds that tied him to a chair — the chair he’d once commanded as pilot of the vessel you were sat on. Half of his crew had surrendered themselves the second your raid had begun; the other half fought valiantly… and lost. All of them were now down below in the hold, chained and guarded by your own crew. All but Garoff Uregg, the ship’s pilot, one of the richest beings in the galaxy, now struggling for freedom. Grunts escaped him as he attempted to kick his legs out to no avail, and then the phrase “pirate scum,” muttered with such venom.
You placed your foot between his knees to stop the chair’s shaking as he writhed, leaning forward as you did. You rested your blaster on your now-raised knee, pointed directly at him. “So you have finally taken my invitation to converse,” you said. “What an honor this is for me.”
He prepared to spit at you, but stopped upon seeing your finger wrap around your blaster’s trigger.
“One would think you’d have noticed by now that negotiation is within your best interest.”
“You don’t negotiate, you steal everything you can get your hands on.”
“If I were not open to negotiation, you wouldn’t know that about me,” you told him. “Your cargo is not the only thing you stand to lose… nor the only thing I have desire to take. My friends and I do not look kindly upon those who own slaves—”
“Indentured—” he interrupted, quieted again by the straightening of your blaster.
“—slaves,” you repeated, “but we are willing to show mercy, given good reason.”
He heaved a sigh, eyeing your gun wearily. “What do you want?” he asked.
“The location of your factories,” you answered. “Including the ones that you have so carefully hidden for fear of… what? Resistance retribution?”
“I supply weapons to the Resistance.”
“You did,” you agreed. “You supplied them to the First Order as well, however. I will say one thing, I do respect your dedication to… indiscrimination. One thing this galaxy lacks as of late is tolerance and you possess it in abundance.”
Uregg grit his teeth. “If I tell you where they are, you’re just going to kill me.”
“That,” you told him, “is not necessarily true. Nevertheless contained within the act of killing is a broad spectrum of technique, so there is still incentive for you to acquiesce.”
His eyes darted about the room — from you, to the boot you had situated between his legs, to the Devaronian First Mate behind you, to her blaster, to yours.
Losing patience, you pushed the chair with your foot, jostling it roughly. “This,” you began, lifting your gun to point it at him more firmly, “offers great kindness in its quickness. I guarantee you that the sarlacc I’ll feed you to when I tire of this conversation will not do the same.” A beat passed. “And the hour is late.”
“Fine,” he mumbled, beads of sweat running along the crease in his forehead. His voice rose to a bark. “Fine!”
“Settle.”
“I have the coordinates. You want ‘em? 24.5, 3.9—”
“Excellent,” you hummed.
C1-6T, your crew’s astromech droid, whirred beside you, lighting up as he began to record the slaver’s words. You gently released his chair from under your foot and rose from your seat. Zura, your First Mate, and Lily, the youngest and newest member of your crew, followed you past the heavily-armed Elomin guarding the door and out of the cockpit. The metal closed with a clang behind you.
“You really gonna kill ‘im?” asked Zura, holstering her blaster. It wasn’t often that you killed a captive. Occasionally some would die in the siege — battle of any kind ran such risks — but harming someone you’d already defeated was a rare occurrence. Most were simply dropped off on some distant planet in the Unknown Regions and left to fend for themselves.
“No,” you answered. “He will be kept on ice until we have verified the information he is currently providing. After that, we’ll send him to Nal Hutta. Tuobo Din has a rather gracious bounty out on him.”
Lily’s head tilted with curiosity. “I thought we hated bounty hunters.”
You looked at the girl thoughtfully. She was nineteen, hardly more than a child, still new to this life and these shifting targets. You nodded solemnly. “We do. The most important thing a person possesses is their morality; bounty hunters have none. In this case, however, with the bounty being a slaving warmonger I see little to lose by seizing the presented opportunity.”
“What does Tuo want with an arms dealer?” asked Zura.
“Never took it upon myself to ask, as it seemed a bit personal.”
“If that’s true, Uregg’ll have a hole in his head before he’s completely out of carbonite.”
You glanced back at the doors, as if you could see the weapon manufacturer through them, though all that came before your mind’s eye was the face of Erin O’rell, a ‘worker’ of his who’d approached you once, years ago, on Birren, gaunt and pleading. “That is entirely his prerogative, and not at all my concern.”
