Kingdom of Wishes- A "Wish" Rewrite AUs
AUs are Alternate Universes, new ways to look at how a story could've gone if a few things were slightly different, it's a fun writing exercise to take your story and change it up a bit to see how the characters would react to these changes.
So I did that with my wish rewrite, and I came up with some pretty fun scenarios.
(Warning: that’s a lie, some scenarios here are not fun at all)
So let's begin:
Asha the Star & Aster the Human
That's exactly what it sounds like, Asha and Aster switch places!
In this scenario, Aster is an orphan whose mother was a musician, that's right, musician, not an artist
His grandfather used to say his mother could sing so beautifully and write songs so engaging that people could see whole stories form in their heads, she inspired people to imagine whole new worlds
That was Aster's dream, to write beautiful melodies, sing a song that could inspire people, see beyond reality
So same things that happened with Asha happen to him, he defies the royals (Who also change in this AU, we have Amaya as a queen regnant, so she's above in power than Magnifico, she being the one who has blue blood while he got married in, and their personalities switch. To me that's the funniest thing, like can you imagine Amaya as the drama queen that get's the whole spotlight and has anger outbursts sometimes like the Red Queen and Maleficent? While Mag is in the background just being calm, mysterious and I guess having a fatherly persona? What a twisted vision)
Anyway so they take Aster's wish, change it up yada yada yada Aster goes to make a wish upon a star and we get Star Asha babeeeyyy
Now design wise, Aster as a human would have brown hair, while Asha, as all wishing stars, would have blonde hair, with this hair style
Loooooong blonde braids that flow in the air constantly like Princess Celestia hair from MLP, and speaking of princess, yeah, she dresses like one too.
Imagine being human Aster here, you wish upon a star and suddenly a beautiful magical princess with gorgeous flowing hair shows up to help you, I would've died
So anyway, Asha has a very energetic and optimistic personality, and much like Aster was in Kow, she's fascinated by earth
When they come up with a plan to inspire the people of Rosas, Asha's idea is to make people draw, express how they feel, make them reflect if they're really happy with this system
Aster of course thinks that's not a good idea at first but she convinces him, so the whole arc of them being found out at the plaza happens yada yada yada let's cut to the good stuff
Instead of giving Aster a magic pencil, Asha enchants his's grandfather's mandolin, so Aster can play beautiful songs that can magically bring anything he imagines to life
So then we get their "At All Cost"... But I actually think Star Asha would sing a different song, she'd sing something like this:
This song just gives me major Kow! Asha vibes, and I'd love if Asha was played by Denee Benton cause I'm a huge fan.
And then the story proceeds as usual and we get to the climax, where instead of singing This Wish Reprise he'd sing something more like this:
Once again, I'm here to say I love Jordan Fisher and I can't imagine anyone better than him to voice Aster.
So yeah he'd have a very dramatic song where instead of using his guitar (That the queen broke) he uses only his voice and the last bit of Asha's magic to defeat the royals, along with everyone's hopes on his side.
Sooo yeah Asha later turns into a human thanks to true love's kiss, her hair turns dark brown, the end!
I like exploring this one because it shows how Asha and Aster are different with her being an artist and him being a musician, human Aster would be very different than the Aster we know though, being absolutely focused on the task at hand of saving his people, so Asha would help him loosen up a bit and have hope things would be better.
Kids AU
Okay so this one is more of a joke, but like... Kingdom of Wishes... But it's Ponyo, only genderbent
Basically I asked myself "What if Asha wished upon Aster when she was a kid?" well, when she was a kid, so was Aster.
So we'd have a story of a little 6 year old becoming friends with her wishing star. While her grandpa Sabino, still alive and very old, tries to hide this star and protect his spunky granddaughter from the king and queen that are after Aster
Of course the royals would have a harder time finding out who could've wished upon a star since they don't know who Asha is as a kid
But on the other hand, Asha and Aster would be a lot more naive and reckless, Aster would tell Asha "Hey! The king and queen are really mean! They change the wishes, wanna defeat them together" and Asha would be like "YEAH!" and off they go put themselves in danger
Don't think Magnifico would go easy on Aster just because he's a toddler, oh no, he'd drain all this child's power as soon as he caught his hands on them, which is why Sabino would be having a panic attack trying to keep them safe.
But what's really cute about this scenario is just imagining kid Aster interacting with the world, using his magic to play with Asha, and of course Sabino being a protective grandpa.
Bad Ending AUs
You guys know me, of course I have a whole section for not one but TWO bad endings lmao I'm so evil.
What If Asha's Cursed Wish Was Granted?
Yup, remember Asha's cursed wish? That would turn her into a obedient princess that would follow Magnifico and Amaya without question? Remember that wish? Yeah what if THAT happened hahah
Anyway, I thinks it's best if I just show you how that'd play out (Warning, the angst is STRONG in this one):
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
"That's right, now hold still my dear, this will feel just like waking up from a pleasant dream." The king said as he lifted up her "wish" to grant it.
Asha felt herself frozen in fear, she wanted to speak up, but the fear of what could happen to her if she did outweighed her her strength to fight back.
She could only watch as the bubble popped and became a swirl of green magic enveloping all around her. Asha felt herself change, and not only because her clothes began to magically morph into a beautiful dress... She felt herself change from the inside out, starting with her mind.
Her desire to run away was muffled by a new desire to stay still as the king asked her to. But Asha knew she had to fight back because- Why did she have to fight back? This is what she wanted, to fit in and make people happy, now she finally could, thanks to Magnifico- Asha heard a voice that sounded like her's fill up her mind, popping any idea of resistance like bubbles- Why resist at all? It's easier to give up- She couldn't give up, she couldn't lose herself- But she doesn't even know who she is, and everyone tells her she's like a princess anyway, don't they? Her saba used to say so, her friends, even Aster said she's beautiful like a princess-... Why isn't he here?
She felt her eyes welling up with tears, realizing how helpless and alone she was. Asha knew she couldn't hold on to her consciousness for much longer, as the king's magic promised to make all her pain go away, leaving only bliss, her own freewill was fading away. But even then, a little bit of her is still fighting, tightly clinging onto the last semblance of thought she has left... Before it suddenly slips, and everything is gone… She is gone.
... She did feel like she woke up from a dream, the king was right, as he always is.
The magic that was surrounding her disappears, fully absorbed into Asha's very being. She's now fully transformed, wearing a princess gown, her hair braided and pulled up into a bun that resembled a rose.
... A single tear ran down her left eye, but the cheering crowd couldn't see it. All they saw was her smile, a blissful, carefree smile plastered on her face.
...
Aster ran back to the plaza as fast as he could. But once the star arrived there... Asha was gone, and so were the royals. The people were walking around commenting about what just happened... He heard people mumbling about how kind the king and queen were for adopting an orphan girl to be their princess...
All it took was one moment, one moment of distraction, one moment that Aster turned away from her... And he lost her... But they wouldn't give up, never, as long as he's on this earth, he will grant her wish, her true wish, no matter the cost.
The star didn't even think twice, revealing his true form in front of everyone, and flying off to the castle to look for Asha.
He looked through all the windows, all the many rooms of the castle, until he stumbles upon a room on the west wing tower, and in there, sleeping peacefully on a comfortable bed, he saw-
"ASHA!" The star screamed, using his magic to unlock the window, he got in and quickly shook her to wake her up "Come on! We gotta get you outta here!"
The princess rose up from the bed, gracefully stretching her arms as she did so, blinking her now unfocused eyes, that if you look closely you could see a small and faint green light sparkling in the center of her pupils.
She smiled at the star as if they were paying her a visit "Greetings Aster, so wonderful to see you-"
Aster grabbed her by the shoulders and just shook her back and forth "SNAP OUT OF IT! This isn't you! You're stronger than his magic, I know you are! You can fight it! Come on, Asha, look at me!" Aster gently places a hand under her chin to make her look at him in the eyes, he can't see her spark anymore... But he still reaches out to her "You wished upon me because you wanted to SAVE Rosas from them, remember? That's the whole reason I'm here, to help you." they give her a bittersweet smile, even though he's filled with sadness.
The girl giggled, in any other context it would be an adorable sound... But it just filled Aster with dread, seeing how his words weren't getting through to her at all. But nothing could've prepared Aster to what she said next "... Then where were you when I needed?"
... Those words pierced through him like a dagger, the star was speechless, now just staring at her, filled with sorow
"Indeed, where were you?"
Aster froze upon hearing the king's voice coming from the other side of the room. He turned around to see both Magnifico and Amaya sitting on comfortable chair next to a table with tea, if Aster could smell he would've probably felt the sent earlier.
"You took so long we were starting to wonder if you just flew back to the sky" Amaya said before sipping on her tea cup
Aster tried to escape through the window, but before he could reach it, he was trapped by the king's magic.
Magnifico and Amaya laughed as the star struggled with all his might to free himself from the king's magic, to which the king just jeered "I suppose a princess was of use to us after all, serving as bait to catch you, little prince"
And just like that, Aster is all alone at the villains mercy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I tricked yall with a false sense of security starting with two wholesome AUs only to then drop the most heart crushing stuff I've written in a WHILE.
Also thank you @gracebeth3604 for inspiring me to write that scene of Asha losing her conscience as the spell took hold of her, when you helped me write that nightmare sequence in chapter 8... So yall can blame Grace for this /j
Aster Turns Himself Into A Blackhole
What a title huh? Anyway, I've said plenty of times how Aster is very inspired by Rapunzel, so I wondered, what if that "Wither and decay" song from the Tangled series affected Aster the same way that it affected Rapunzel?
I didn't quite explore much Aster's frustration with the fact he couldn't hurt the king and queen the same way they hurt Asha, that's kind of a more internal frustration he doesn't show much, but it proves how human Aster is, to the point that he feels human emotions such as vengeance
But as we say here in Brazil: "Revenge is never complete, it kills the soul and poisons it."
So... Let's see if Aster choose a darker path, after he thought that he lost Asha for good in the climax.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aster was chained to the floor, all he could do was watch in horror the king drop Asha and all their friends off the tower.
... She was gone...
Just like that, Aster couldn't keep her safe, like he promised he would.
Without her, Aster felt his world growing dark, his own light was fading away. There was no hope for him, no hope for Rosas, no hope of granting her wish... So... Aster had nothing... So he had nothing left to lose.
... The star remembered once listening to a song, a song that stars sing when they're at the very end of their long, LOOOOONG lives. After all, everything must come to an end. The lyrics of this song were actually an incantation, a spell of death that allowed a star to snuff their own light away, turning themselves into... Something else... Something a lot more destructive.
The stars always warned him to NEVER sing that melody. And fly away as fast as he could if he ever heard some other star singing it... Aster never knew fully why, all they said was that the song would make him dangerous...
Well then... That was just what Aster wanted to be right now.
Suddenly, Aster felt the touch of the queen's hand, snapping them out of their thoughts. She lifted his scowling face, to give him a snark comment before they began to drain away his power "What's with the grimace, my dear? Is there something you wish to say?"
And so... The star began to sing.
"🎶... Wither and decay...🎶" Aster's voice was haunting, not at all as warm and lively as it always was when he sang... This was different.
Magnifico was previously looking down on his people, but the sound of those lyrics made the king turn around in cold sweat... He knew that spell.
"🎶...End this destiny...🎶" Aster continued to sing, his eyes were closed, and his face began to contort with discomfort. The star felt himself... Change.
The queen just raised an eyebrow and mocked "What's this? Trying to put us to sleep with a lullaby? hahaha *cough cough* haha" She didn't seem to pay much mind to her own coughing
The king minded it a lot though. He could see the roses on Amaya's hair begin to wither rapidly.
Magnifico's voice was trembling as he ran to his wife "A- Amaya-"
"🎶...Break these earthly chains...🎶" Aster opened his eyes... They were completely dark.
The queen's blood ran cold "wh-what ON EARTH-" she feels herself being pulled away from the star by her husband.
"ENOUGH! I ORDER YOU TO STOP!" The king commands, using his magic to cover Aster's mouth with glowing vines similar to the ones holding him down... But the star... Or rather, whatever Aster is becoming, is not weak to forbidden magic.
Aster breaks free from Magnifico's magic, leaving the two royals mortified.
"🎶…And set the spirit free…🎶" Aster didn't even react to the fact he was free, in fact, they didn't seem to notice the world around him at all, lost in their despair, all they could do was sing, floating above the ground. Tears kept running down his now inky black eyes.
Their hair changes from a yellow and lively flame to a dark and slowly shifting shadow. The star dust flowing out of their cape disappears, now his cape hides only dark nothingness under it. The light coming from the brooch bellow his neck now resembles a vortex... A blackhole.
"Magnus... I thought you said this thing was harmless" The queen is clinging to her king, she begins to feel... Strangely lightheaded, like she’s about to pass out.
"I- I didn't think the star would do this- *cough!*" The king feels a pain in his chest, his legs growing weaker. He stumbles forward "We- we must leave NOW"
But Aster had other plans for them, the former star finally moved. In the blink of an eye the king and him were face to face. With one swift motion Aster took the king's staff and threw it away from the edge of the tower.
The royals were shaking in fear, the entity was towering over them, dark inky tears still flooding his expressionless face.
As a last resort, Magnus desperately tries to reason with them "He-hehe now now Aster, let's talk about this, alright? You wouldn't actually want to-"
"🎶Take what has been hurt🎶" The haunting melody continues.
The king and queen kneeled down. They felt weaker by the second, the queen was whimpering and the king was gasping for air. It was becoming hard to breathe, hard to move, hard to think. They were both holding on to each other, even though they could barely hold on to their own lives.
"🎶Grant them no mercy🎶" Aster was looming over the two mortals, staring at them as they withered away. Aster felt himself grow stronger, for he was slowly but surely absorbing their very life essence... The corners of his mouth started to lift up slightly.
The two villains collapsed on the ground, shaking and wincing in pain.
"🎶Bend and break the reigns🎶" He was previously emotionless, but now, seeing them like this, Aster is consumed by a feeling he never thought he could feel before... It was ruthlessness. He was enjoying seeing the life drain away from them, the same way they wanted to drain his life away before... In a way, Aster understands them now.
The power to take was really different from the power to give... But if felt just as good, if not better.
"🎶And set the spirit free... The spirit free~...🎶" Aster finishes the lyrics, looking at the two lifeless bodies below him with twisted glee.
... Asha arrived at the top of the tower, as she never actually died, she managed to save herself and her friends with her magic pencil, and with it, she made her way back to Aster, hopeful that she could save him in an nick of time
"Aster! I'm here! Are you o-" She felt her heart stop, her whole body frozen in place when she saw the corpses of the two royals laying down... Beneath a floating figure that looks like Aster... But she knows that's not him "What... What have you done?" Asha takes a few steps back
He doesn't seem at all surprised to see her alive and well, simply tilting his head to the side as he floats towards her "What I had to. I mean, that's what you wished for, right? To defeat them." The creature spoke calmly, but with a twisted smile spread across their features.
"No-not like THIS!" She was trembling, seeing her own reflection on the dark pools that he now has for eyes "A-Aster please, this isn't funny, turn back to normal, NOW"
"Hmmmmm I don't think I can" They shrug, while drying the tears that were previously falling from his eyes "And even if I could, why should I? When like this, I can actually keep you safe"
"... Keep me safe from what?" She felt tears welling up on the corner of her eyes, Aster couldn't really be gone, right?
He embraced her, but it wasn't the same warm and secure embrace Asha fell in love with... He was holding her tightly, not letting her run away.
"From anyone who tries to keep us apart, of course." The blackhole whispered lovingly, but that gave Asha no comfort, it only cemented her fear, sending chills down her spine "And as long as your wish doesn't come true... As long as aaaaall those people down there aren't free... I'll be able to stay here... Loving you... Forever." They sound more and more deranged with every word.
Asha felt trapped, in the arms of the one she once loved.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I bet ya'll weren't expecting evil Aster... Welp! Evil Aster is a thing now.
This is probably the darkest thing I’ve ever wrote for real, don’t let me do this again yall
@uva124 actually sneaked a little drawing of this Aster in one of her sketches here
So yeah! These were the alternate AUs! Two wholesome ones, and two very heavy with no comfort ones, perfectly balanced as all things should be.
Hope you guys forgive me after this hahaha see you guys next time! Bye!
Thank you for reading!

imo, what do you think G5 does better than G4, and vice versa
G4 started on a very strong foundation and was the result of a coherent vision being executed with a minimum of corporate meddling. It also was given a lot of time to fully develop its world, and the show's production wasn't transferred to a completely different creative team at any point. It's hard to beat that.
G5 was developed first and foremost with the intention of producing a good story for a good movie that could perform well in theaters, and creating the rest of the franchise seems to have been kind of secondary to that (who cares about the consequences?). Obviously, it didn't get to be released in theaters, but the movie is still probably the strongest part of G5 so far. I haven't watched the G4 movie yet but I think most people who've watched both consider the G5 movie to be better.
G4 benefits a lot from its main characters. Twilight is a know-it-all and she basically allows the show to introduce whatever random advanced magic they want, which is pretty convenient. Pinkie gets to break the fourth wall. All of them have strong unique personalities and are larger than life, and it's great fodder for episodes that explore their flaws and how they handle new or difficult situations. G5 doesn't benefit nearly as much from this kind of energy.
On the other hand, G5's main characters are less likely to get into an argument with each other or get annoyed by each other. They're chill and generally seem more like real people than over-the-top cartoon characters. I think the conflict in early episodes of Friendship Is Magic was for me a bit frustrating to sit through at times, so G5 generally having less intense character conflicts is not necessarily a downside for me.
Some of Make Your Mark's character portrayals are confusing to me. In particular, Sunny's ultimate ambition was achieved in A New Generation and she wasn't given any meaningful goals or motivation to replace that, and Zipp's detective cosplay is shown without any hint of irony or any lampshading, as though she were actually doing a good job. I think Zipp will end up being hired by Hitch by the end of Chapter 6, but they could have picked a better way to get there, like if they properly showed her learning how to be a detective instead of just having her bring out her pointless magnifying glass or recording voice memos. I don't think G4 had these kinds of issues, and it was generally clear what the characters' motivations and desires were.
G4 has better writing, pacing and humor, especially compared to Make Your Mark. There are a number of scenes in the latter where the plot doesn't progress and the characters accomplish nothing.
I liked "Dear Princess Celestia". It seems to have been generally a good way to make sure that each episode actually had a meaningful moral. Make Your Mark is a bit messy on this front, as are some later G4 episodes. I think in some cases Make Your Mark attempted to have two characters independently realize the same moral, but it didn't seem very justified or meaningful.
Make Your Mark's big ambitious idea seems to have been to put Opaline and Misty into basically every episode, even though Opaline stays in the castle and can usually only interact with Misty. It works, and the portrayal of Misty is very interesting and not something G4 was able to do, but there are a few episodes where it's just an unnecessary distraction that doesn't meaningfully progress the plot.
I think it was probably a mistake for them to have two concurrently running shows that needed to be coordinated together, even if it was necessary in order to allow MLP to have some sort of presence outside of Netflix. The need to avoid continuity issues produced weird results like Sparky not appearing in Tell Your Tale until September 2022 even though he was introduced in Make Your Mark in May 2022. Tell Your Tale does demonstrate you can tell a good story in 5 minutes, but it seems to be held back by having to be secondary to Make Your Mark. They don't seem to introduce new recurring locations, for instance, and there are still a bunch of continuity issues in spite of the efforts to avoid creating them. Having concurrently airing shows on YouTube and on Discovery Family worked in G4 because the Equestria Girls shorts were literally in an alternate universe and couldn't really affect the Friendship Is Magic episodes.
G4's music has a certain charm to it, or at least the well-remembered songs do. Sure, it's Daniel Ingram using the same instruments over and over (aside from the orchestral arrangements in seasons 8 and 9), but he didn't otherwise restrict himself to a particular genre or style in his songwriting. The music of Tell Your Tale and Make Your Mark is consistent in terms of production quality, but maybe too consistent. All of it is made to sound like it could have been on the radio in the last 10 years, and some of the songs sound a little too much like they were precisely modeled on, you know, "I Gotta Feeling", "All I Want For Christmas Is You" or "Uptown Funk". A New Generation's music is easily more memorable, but it's harder to compare since it only has a few songs and they're so qualitatively different from everything before and after.
G4 tends to miss the mark when it tries to incorporate allegories for social issues, and it doesn't help that (at least in season 1) they made Pinkie sing about the respective situations. A New Generation does it quite well, but the rest of G5 basically doesn't bring up those themes again (aside from Make Your Mark Chapter 1, and the less said about it the better).
A New Generation's 3D animation is beautiful, but the way they got Atomic Cartoons to use Boulder Media's leftovers was clearly not very good. If Hasbro had kept the animation in-house they might well have avoided some of the silly production problems that Make Your Mark ended up with. The show being 3D also evidently massively restricted what locations they could explore and what non-pony species could be shown, and it was probably pretty expensive too. I think it's probably for the best that Make Your Mark isn't going to be the main show in 2024. Friendship Is Magic's animation did not suffer from this kind of weird inherent logistical flaw. It was simple and not detailed but looked fine, and was appropriate for the resources that they had to produce the show.
I know some people still hate how Tell Your Tale looks but it doesn't seem to be something that Hasbro was ever concerned about, oddly enough, given that the show looks exactly the way that it was internally pitched within Boulder Media in 2019 (even though they didn't end up making the show themselves). I personally don't mind it, although it looked a little weird to me at first. It's nice that they tried something different and gave the ponies stylized and varied body shapes, which G4 didn't have much of aside from, like, Bulk Biceps.
G5's first-party toys generally seem to look better and more show-accurate than G4's, but G4 seems to have had a lot more variety and just generally more stuff in the toy line.
The G5 tie-in video games generally seem to be better and more fleshed out than most of the G4 ones (aside from My Little Pony World, in which nothing of importance happens).
Overall, I think G4 would win in a fight. G5 is only two years old, though, so maybe if we wait a few more years it will be a more even match. Or not.
This post represents my own opinions and not necessarily those of the other admins of this blog. I may be biased or wrong and there may be gaps in my understanding.

Can I see everyone's (koopalings, boom, and pom) personality traits (like a bio)
Ooh, okay! Let's see what I can come up with...
Lemmy (7) is very sweet and polite towards everyone he meets. He can be a bit too trusting at times, though. He has no control over what direction his eyes point, making him pretty much blind. He struggles to walk and read and do other basic tasks. He wants, more than anything, to be a "normal" kid. Lemmy is also very quick to tears and has bed-wetting issues that keep him from always getting enough sleep; Needing to get up and change sheets instead of getting that extra needed hour of rest. One of his biggest interests is circuses. It seems impossible that he'd ever become a clown given his vision, but somehow, circus stunts seem to be the only thing his eyesight doesn't get in the way of.
Larry (9) is a mostly self-sufficient and independent kid who likes spending his time either playing online video games, practicing sports by himself, working on ventriloquism/shadow puppetry, or doing magic (Like a birthday party/black top hat magician--Not wizardy like Kamek) When he isn't doing those hobbies by himself and is forced to "integrate with society," Larry usually spends that time annoying people by info-dumping about his aforementioned hobbies. He is considered the "annoying one" of his siblings, but really isn't that bad. He's just awkward. And a teeeeeeny bit insufferable.
Wendy (11) is pretty chill and can be agreeable and nice if she wants to be, but can also be manipulative, psychotic, and downright evil just 'cuz she's bored. Gatekeep. Gaslight. Girlboss. Despite being a "girlboss," Wendy doesn't consider herself a feminist. She thinks all genders are equally annoying. She absolutely does NOT struggle to survive in a house with seven brothers*. She fucking runs the place! With the bros* and her dad all wrapped around her finger, plus her own raw strength, this little lady practically has the whole castle under her control! She doesn't do much with that control, though. Most days, she can be seen chilling, watching TV in bed with fast food and a sketchbook by her side, like any, lazy normal tween. She, for whatever reason, really likes Mexican food! Wendy is one of the only characters without some food allergy/limitation so she can and WILL eat just about anything. Most people assume Morton is the snacker who eats all the food 'cuz of his size (Which he does still eat lots of snacks and whatnot!) But Wendy needs to not be overlooked when it comes to mysterious food disappearances.
Iggy (13) is still semi in the closet over being genderfluid and switches between using he and her pronouns, but is fine with they/them. They are very sweet to just about everyone, being very well-mannered and apologetic. Iggy used to be very emotional, and although is still super empathetic towards others, has been somewhat desensitized to their own emotions due to constantly being put into uncomfortable situations (Thanks to Pom-Pom). They don't cry as often, nor do they "blow up" at people. But you can clearly see the visible annoyance on their face build up when stress becomes present. If pushed over the edge, Iggy will usually step into another room and just, exhale aggressively. Iggy struggles with social situations and maintaining hobbies. This is mostly due to the fact that they have the bladder capacity of a literal shot glass. It is really hard to keep focused when you need to stop what you're doing to go pee every three minutes. They are probably one of the only Iggies in the Mario Multiverse who isn't into experimenting. They just can't.
Morton (14) is... How do I say this... A weeb. He owns WAY TOO MANY body pillows, maid outfits, anime/hentai DVDs, and more. He also has tons of MLP merchandise. Like Larry, when he isn't by himself, enjoying his hobbies alone, he's usually talking to his siblings about them. When he grows up, he wants to do anime art commissions. And seeing how his art skills are now, it is very likely that could become a full-time career option for him in a few years. Morton is pretty dorky and calm. A bit of a dummy sometimes, but very well-intentioned. He truly cares about his friends and family and would never intentionally upset them. Morton is also surprisingly well-spoken and good with advice, even in stressful situations. (He happens to read/eat a lot of fortune cookies), so he always happens to have little words of wisdom to share. Even if they don't really fit/help the situation.
Roy (15) is considered a real "player" and has been through several relationships with many different women. His body count is well into the hundreds and he is proud of that fact. Roy is proud of lots involving himself--He takes great pride in his muscular, manly body. Ever since a very young age, he decided "Shells are for wussies!" And now only wears shorts. Despite not being the oldest, Roy tends to act as the alpha male of the house, ordering his siblings and telling them what to do every now and then. That includes Ludwig, who IS the oldest and often gets tired of Roy taking charge and bossing him around. Especially when it comes to him and Boom-Boom's relationship, which shouldn't be any of Roy's business. Roy thinks he knows what's best for everyone. He usually has good intentions, just doesn't like it when his peers don't listen to what he thinks they need.
Ludwig (17) is going through a lot. He has a huge list of allergies, gets many UTIs, is going through puberty, almost got raped as a child, has an eating disorder, etc. But still, he is able to power through with his life and be a good parental figure to his siblings. He can be quite bossy and rude but also very polite and charming, depending on his mood. Ludwig, like Roy, takes great pride in his appearance. Although, he is very insecure about the fact that, because one of his horns got broken off, he will forever be "asymmetrical." Ludwig is extremely germaphobic and is quite the perfectionist, so having an asymmetrical face is a big deal to him. Oh yeah, and the horn that got broken off? Well, the base is super sensitive to touch. Ludwig would like it a lot if you kept your grubby hands far away from his face and especially away from his hair and horns.
Jr (5) is a demon. No other way to describe it. A little monster. Literally. He may look like an unassuming child, but he holds the ability to kill anyone and destroy everything in a matter of seconds. He seems to have no thoughts or conscience. Just. Evilness. He is also SUPER heavy for no reason.
Motley (6) is Lemmy's best friend. [And partner?] She is pretty chaotic and can be very scary, although she is an absolute angel around the people she loves, like her family and Lemmy. She likes spending all her time with Lemmy, helping him, playing with him, and more. If somebody were to hurt Lemmy, they would not live to see the next day. Motley is a proud mom to two pet snakes, Mr. & Mrs. Hisstocrat.
Pom-Pom (12) is a super weird, hyper young lady with a love for many CN shows. She is Iggy's girlfriend and just can't seem to leave them alone. Constantly following them around, giving unwanted hugs and kisses out of nowhere, and generally just giving many "stalker vibes," which go unchecked by almost everyone around her.
Boom-Boom (16) is a young gentleman with a love for old Western films and his pet race yoshi. He loves every aspect of his life, minus the fact that his dad is almost always drunk and abusive to him. (Never his sisters, though). Boom-Boom can often be seen with covered up injuries that he hides, not wanting people to worry for him. Even though he's so sweet and hard-working, nothing he ever does can get his dad to be kind to him.
Topper (19) is one of the Broodals, who work around the castle. He and his siblings came from Europe, meaning that they have accents that nobody else here can quite understand. But that doesn't stop him from constant yelling at people, being seen as nothing but a big ball of rage most days. He's been known to pull guns on people out of nowhere and is generally not fun to be around. Some brave people enjoy antagonizing him just to see what happens. Topper has minor interests in cards, tea, and golf. Being near him if he's losing a game of cards or golf can be quite dangerous, though. And it's pretty easy to get some scalding hot tea splashed on you if you're too close. So... Always be cautious. You don't have to take the warning too seriously, though. After all, his siblings don't!
Harriette (19) is the best of the Broodals at her job, getting work finished in minutes, so she has plenty of time to goof around. She can be very focused and diligent but is often seen as rather loony and hyper. Her behavior can get annoying VERY quickly. While goofing off, she will either go bother her brothers or talk to random workers around the castle, sometimes flirting with them out of nowhere. She has a thing for big, buff, masculine men and has plenty of pictures of random attractive people she saw in public in her room. Her favorite thing to do in her free time is watch cheesy romcoms. And her brothers all know when they hear that saxophone music it means leave Harriette tf alone.
Rango (19) is the most showy and arrogant member of the Broodals, really enjoying talking about himself and his interests. He can be quite cocky when it comes to things he's good at. Of course, he isn't always like that. Rango (Usually called "Vango" by the Koopalings due to not understanding his accent) is also one of the nicer bunnies, always having time to sit and chat with someone. He really likes affection (And attention). Giving him a gentle hug would make his whole day. Rango's favorite hobby is chess, which he gets teased about by Topper very often for. One of his favorite things to talk about is Mimi--His girlfriend from when he and his family still lived in Europe. He isn't really into romance stuff like Harriette, but is still very much in love with Mimi, even after all these years of never communicating.
Spewart (19) is the sweetest Broodal and is very easy to mistake for being condescending or trying to manipulate. Nope! His dorky little head only has nice thoughts floating around, making him scarily optimistic at all times. He can be quite shy and nervous, often relying on his siblings to stick up for him. He enjoys knitting and cuddles, although not hugs due to some stomach-related issues; Hug him, and he might puke on you. (Unintentionally, of course!) In more recent times, Spewart has become a bit distant from his siblings. He's had his eyes on and is slowly forming a crush on one of the other workers around the castle... But the worker happens to be male. And he's afraid of how his siblings will react to finding out he might be into dudes. (Given how himbo-hungry Harriette is and the fact that Rango is still madly in love with a girl he was with several years ago, Spewart believes that his siblings think and want him to be straight like them).

Here I go again pairing Sans' to things.
First it was with MLP characters, this time it's songs from Melanie Martinez's new era of music, Portals. Now with explanations! Okay:
DEATH - Error
"Death, is life, is death, is life, is death, is..." My reason for pairing Error with Death is pretty straight forward. He destroys things. In the multiverse, he causes death.
VOID - Geno
Being stuck in the save screen I feel is pretty close to a "void". But I also feel like he relates to the lyrics and themes conveyed in the song. The lyrics that cements that for me is "Like a priest behind confession walls I judge myself. Kneeling on a metal grader, bloody like a body that has died, and it's myself."
TUNNEL VISION - Nightmare
Whenever I listen to the song with this specific context in mind, I always imagine Nightmare going through the process of becoming goop boy. Having "tunnel vision" for his goals, and following a tunnel to corruption. Yes... I am aware of what the song actually means and some choice lyrics, but the main vibe still hits for Nightmare.
FAERIE SOIREE - Paperjam
Okay, to be fair, I had no fucking clue who to pair for a few of these songs, and this was one of them. At first I pictured all of the Sans', but that felt like a cop out. But then I imagined Paperjam just kinda vibin' and creating art to this song and I was like, okay. Sure. It's especially funny because this song symbolizes escapism via kush. I think at the end of the day Paperjam just wants to be left alone.
LIGHT SHOWER - Flower Fell
I... feel like I don't need to explain this one too much. I love Frisk and Sans' friendship in this AU. Even though Light Shower can be interpreted as a love song, I feel like you could spin it in the context of friendship easily. Sans felt cleansed by Frisk's kindness. Washed away the mold that his past grew around his heart.
SPIDER WEB - Sans
Spider Web is an allegory for internet addiction and fame. Well, Sans is an icon here, and he's not particularly happy being stuck in the middle of the spider web, slowly losing life...
LEECHES - Fresh
My reasoning for this one is also pretty straight forward. Fresh, at his basic form, is a parasite. Sucking life from his host. He's a nasty leech.
BATTLE OF THE LARYNX - Swap
I think due to his nature, he's often downplayed and seen as a joke. But poke him to battle, and he'll smile as you fall to your feet. Maybe not with his attacks... but with his larynx. He'll be silent until you cross the line. Don't you battle with his larynx tonight.
THE CONTORTIONIST - Fell
For this one, I remembered that Fell Pap is like... a huge asshole. Controls Fell with fear and intimidation. For this song though, he's had enough of contorting himself for Papyrus. He's done.
MOON CYCLE - Nymph
I fucking struggled with this one, bro. Because Moon Cycle is centered around periods, and describes a man who likes to eat a bitch out while they're on their period. Plus, I don't think any of the Sans' experience menstruation... So, I decided to revive an old AU idea for this one. One where all major characters are gender swapped, and the theme of the AU is all nature-y. Meet Nymph, she experiences periods and her powers - the power to grow flora - heighten while she's shedding any lessons and making room for blessings. (I shall see no Moon Cycle hate. It is my favorite song off this album and it needs to exist.)
NYMPHOLOGY - Dream
Dream gives me boss bitch energy. That's pretty much all the reason I have. He'll make you choke on your doubt, ha ha.
EVIL - Cross
If you're familiar with Underverse's story, I think you can gather why I chose Cross for this song. If you want to twist the narrative, then sure. He's evil.
WOMB - Ink
Same sort of reason for pairing Error with Death. Ink creates and protects, therefore his role is centered around life. In multiverse, he protects life. "Life, is death, is life, is death, is life, is..."
PLUTO - Reaper
I really don't like this song, so I just went off vibes for this one. This song gave me Reaper vibes, so there you go.
MILK OF THE SIREN - Cove
Again, this is one of those songs where I was like... Pairing a Sans with this song would be weird because they're - for the most part- all masculine presenting, and this song is about misogyny and feminine rage. So I revived another AU idea for this one. Cove is another gender bent Sans. She's a Siren who lures people in with her voice. She never feels bad when those fuckers drown.
POWDER - Dust
In the original context of the song, "Powder" is in reference to hard drugs. But obviously, in this context, powder refers to the dust of Chara/Frisk's victims. This song could be from Dust's perspective, confronting Chara after their many genocide runs. Telling them to "Clean it up - watch you die, it's yours to decide".
Well that was a lot! I'm curious to see if anyone else has given any thought into this or if I'm just weird. Let me know in comments or reblogs I guess!
