Tweeted a random thought last night, turned it into a twitter-thread ficlet and ended up going to bed at nearly 5 a.m. 😎👍

Nami gets the newspaper one morning and it's all over the front cover. Flashy headlines, pictures, information about the assassinated royals.

Under the king's picture there's a short chronicle about the loss of his queen and his third son only a few months apart, many years ago. Next to him, the princess, his eldest. She was beautiful, Nami thinks sadly, staring at what little she can see of her face, between her bangs covering half of it and a hand on her forehead casting a shadow over her eyes. "Died at 24", the paper says, and it makes her feel sick.

Then she looks at the deceased princes' faces and at first glance all she sees is Sanji's.

It's short-lived, but terrifying nonetheless, and for a second she needs to look away from the pictures to catch her breath. When she looks again, she notices the differences: they all have different hairstyles, and are probably not blond judging by the grey colouring. Their eyebrows curl, too, but on the other end, and they don't sport any facial hair. But their features—the shape of their nose, the line of their jaw—are all so terribly familiar.

When she reads their names, all the pieces click together.

She finds Sanji preparing breakfast in the kitchen, humming a happy tune as he dances around, hands flying here and there to make sure every crewmate will have their share. "Good morning, my darling!" he chirps when Nami walks through the door.

She hates doing this to him.

"Sanji," she says with a heavy voice, and he immediately stops fidgeting to look at her with worry, sensing something's not right. "Do you remember back in Jaya, when you mentioned you were born in the North Blue?"

He tenses, lips twitching into a nervous smile.

"Yes, dear, but don't worry about—" he tries to wave it off, but the words get stuck in his throat when Nami bluntly asks: "Were you a prince of the Germa Kingdom?"

Sanji stills. For a moment, Nami fears he's not even breathing, his frame completely frozen in place. Then: "How do you know?" he asks softly, quietly. Fearfully.

If it were anyone else asking, she thinks he may have lashed out, found an excuse to divert the topic into an argument and hopefully forget about it; but since it's her, he only watches like a deer caught in the headlights.

She really, really hates doing this to him.

Without a word, Nami hands him the newspaper.

Sanji is the most expressive person she's ever known. He's always emoting, be it happy or sad, thoughtful or absent, friendly or deadly; his face shows his every emotion, constantly shifting between grins and pouts and frowns and cheeky winks. It's never hard to tell what he's thinking, especially when they're at sea and it's only the Strawhat pirates aboard the Thousand Sunny.

But when he takes the paper from her, after his eyes fly over the headline and widen for a moment, his face turns stone-cold serious. She watches him read everything, for once unable to tell what he thinks, and it pains her more to see him like this than any other reaction would have.

"They're all dead," Sanji mumbles at large. It's not exactly a question, but not an observation either. It's like he needs to say it out loud for it to settle.

"I'm sorry," she says, because it feels like the right thing to say, even though she knows she's missing half of the story.

Sanji shakes his head, stiff and slow. His gaze is fixed on a single point in the page in front of him, and Nami has a good idea what it is when he says: "She didn't deserve this," his voice trembling with sorrow.

Nami tries to imagine receiving the news of Nojiko's sudden death like this and the mere thought makes her want to throw up. Sanji is probably keeping himself together way better than she would've.

"The others did," Sanji adds then, forcefully slamming the paper down on the counter, and hangs his head, hiding his expression from her. "My biological father, and my brothers—they were always awful to me, made my childhood a living hell," he confesses in an angry voice, fingers clenching and tearing into the paper. Nami can't remember ever having seen him so rageful, so vengeful, and it almost scares her. "I should be happy they're dead," he sniffs then, the darkness gone to be replaced with childlike confusion, and there are tears running down his cheeks when he raises his head to look at her and ask: "So why am I crying over them?"

Nami walks to him and pulls him into a hug.

Sanji holds on to her like a drowning man to a lifeline, arms pulling her as close as she can get as he sobs into her shoulder. She doesn't speak, because she doubts there are any words that can offer him comfort. She doesn't ask, because she figures Sanji will tell her when he's ready to.

She holds him. She helps him bear the weight of this confusing, soul-wrenching grief, and she shields him from the crew's well-meaning but invasive concern once they start joining them in the kitchen.

For as long as he needs her, she's there for him.

My favorite piece of art you've ever done. I don't know if it's just the pure joy and wholesomeness radiating off of them now and forever, or the fact that there is NO other chibi art of the rangers anywhere, but whenever I think of the best of you--this pops directly into my head like an arrow~

Kaiju Weeks in Review (March 31-April 13, 2024)

It took forever (maybe they were waiting on the returns for Godzilla x Kong), but Apple TV+ has finally greenlit season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. According to its listing on the WGA site, it'll run from 2024 to 2025. Multiple spinoffs are also in development at Apple; no details on those yet.

Speaking of Godzilla x Kong, it continues to do well, staying #1 at the domestic box office in its second weekend and falling to #2 (behind Civil War) in its third. Current totals are $158 million domestic and $437 million worldwide. It'll soon pass the domestic gross of Kong: Skull Island and the total gross of Godzilla vs. Kong.

Godzilla vs. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers II #1 promises more of everything: more heroes (the White Ranger joins our heroes from the first comic), more villains (including Psycho Ranger Ghidora up there), and more alternate universes. Godzilla gets a bit buried in all the Ranger antics though.

A couple of kaiju series debuted on TV too: Kaiju No. 8 and Season 2 of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again. The former followed the manga very closely, and as such didn't really keep my attention; hopefully it innovates a bit more going forward. Chibi Godzilla's as irreverent as ever.

Tsuburaya Productions has released preliminary information on the next installment of the Ultra Series, Ultraman Arc. The logline:

A town called Hoshimoto City... On Mt. Shishio, there is a gigantic object towering above the city. Named "Monohorn," (モノホーン, Monohōn) it is actually a kaiju’s horn stuck in the ground since an incident 16 years ago. After the incident known as "K-DAY" in which kaiju appeared all over the world at the same time, monster disasters have become commonplace. In Japan, the Global Defense Force (GDF) uses force to deal with them, while SKIP works closely with the community in scientific investigations and evacuation guidance to prevent the occurrence and aggravation of kaiju disasters. SKIP has also been investigating the Monohorn, the horn of the galactic beast Monogelos (モノゲロス, Monogerosu) that appeared on K-DAY. Yuma, then only 7 years old, was camping with his parents in Mt. Shishio when Monogelos attacked. After miraculously surviving unscathed, he decided to pursue research into monster biology. Despite his traumatic past, he has not lost his “power of imagination” to dream. As a rookie investigator, Yuma joined SKIP and was assigned to the Hoshimoto City Branch. Not long after, another large-scale monster disaster occurs in Hoshimoto City. As Yuma sees the desperate people in front of him, a strong will springs into his mind — “I want to protect them!” At the moment when this strong and straightforward desire welled up from the bottom of his heart, Yuma hears the voice of Rution  (ルティオン,  Rution) a being of light that he once saw as a child: “You and I are one and the same… Unleash your imagination!” When a mysterious light appears in Yuma's hand and envelops his body, the unleashed power of imagination unites light and man and he transforms into Ultraman Arc, the Giant of Light who protects the future! Alongside his precious friends, Yuma, as well as Ultraman Arc, races towards his everlasting dream!

Yuma is played by Yuki Totsuka, while Takanori Tsujimoto is the lead director. He's directed for the series since Ultraman X, but this is his biggest assignment to date.

After beginning to release select Movie Monster Series figures in the States, Bandai America is now fully back in the Godzilla game, with articulated figures, 5-inch vinyls, blind box figures, and transforming eggs all up for preorder at the Godzilla Store and other toy sites. The eggs come from the 2014 Godzilla-E.G. line and the rest is all-new. Not much of a selection so far, but with how big Godzilla is right now, I'm sure there'll be more to come.

SRS Cinema has opened preorders for its War of the Ninja Monsters: Jaron vs. Goura Blu-ray, due in late July or August. Shinpei Hayashiya's latest epic, it'll come with behind-the-scenes footage and maybe a commentary track, which would be nice given how little information is available about his films online.

"A Bite At Freddy's Thumbnail" This is the thumbnail for my playthrough of the FNAF fan game, A Bite At Freddy's.

"Bois And DJs" I have an AU/OU(Alternate Universe/ Original Universe) called WarScream, a massive crossover AU i have been working on since 2019. Here we have my versions of Duke from Duke Nukem, Pinnhead from Hellraiser, Daft Punk's Guy Manuel, and Marshmello.

"Chibi Kate And James" These are chibified versions of these characters that represent me and my boyfriend James.

"Two Himbos, One Nightguard" Am i a simp? Yes, if this happened to me irl would i enjoy it? YES! But i doubt this will ever happen in real life so instead of being upset that this will never happen irl, i just decided to draw it.

"V For Vengeance" This is a comic series that has three planned entries and will be about V, a man(Or ball) who must avenge his family after his baby was killed and his wife was kidnapped by a cult that caused the death of his baby. I actually posted this on another blog...But because i have decided to just stick with one big blog, you will eb seeing this content here!

"T3M TV Logo" T3M TV is a project of mine that will be a combination of different series i have on my channel(T3M Productions).

"T3M Productions Christmas Special" This will be a part of a Christmas 2023 merch line for my Youtube channel(Here is the store if you're interested ^^). And to explain the lore this has for my Youtube channel(Yes, my Youtube channel dose in fact lore), basically Kate and the others have spent all of November and most of December working on a massive Christmas special with 200+ hours of content!

"Springtrap And His Family" So in my AU, Springtrap is not only trans male, but is also hecking chonky! And Clowntrap and Toxic Springtrap are two alternate personalities. Spring Bonnie is Springtrap's adoptive son, and the one who is blushing a lot is Springtrap's husband Fiv(This is a version of Fiv, a character that belongs to one of my best friends, @facadesinternalveil).

"Sociallly Rejected Pizza Plex Logo" SRPP(Aka, Socially Rejected Pizza Plex) is my animation brand and this is the logo you will see at the end of all of my animations. The two characters here are Rixanne and Pixel Kate, two trans bisexual animatronics who love each other.

"Shiz'N'Shank Save Christmas" Shiz and Shank are two characters that originate from a Tik Tok account of mine and eventually showed up on my main channel during The Plush Kate Arc(Will explain that in a different post), They are both puppets in my main channel, with Shiz being bought from a store called Island Style and Shank being found half berried in some sand.

Originally the two were frenemies but eventually became lovers! I plan on expanding their story more with comics and maybe even a animated series down the line, who knows.

"Radioactive Foxy" Now you may look at this and be thinking Kate what the actual fuck is that?! , and to explain, because i wanted to. I wanted to give Radioactive Foxy a bizarre design(And also to clarify my version of Foxy is trans female and Radioactive Foxy is one of Foxy's forms). Besides, me and normal have been divorced since i turned 13.

"Lupin Blue And Patra Pink" Now i haven't really watched that much Super Sentai in a bit, mostly because i have had some burnout with Kingohger and how fast it feels like the story went for that show and how early certain things have shown up in the show. But i have decided to post this art of my versions of Lupin Blue and Patra Pink from Lupin Ranger Vs Patra Ranger.

"Kitana" It's Kitana and one of my friends(Who doesn't have a tumblr yet) is a massive simp for them.

"Ghostface Power Up Forms" One of the things i like to do is give characters these fun or crazy or wacky power up forms. So here we have Ghostface and three of his power up forms. Metal Ghostface makes Ghostface fire proof and gives him these two flamethrowers and a flamethrower knife thing(This form is based off of a scene in a Stab movie in Scream 2022(Aka, Scream 5) ). Next is Space Quartz Ghostface, this let's Ghostface breathe in space and fly really fast!

And finally there is Galactic Lion Ghostface. Ok, so this requires me to explain my version of Ghostface. My version is a man named Sharely King, he was the baby of a space god and was adopted into the Kruger house hold when Freddy's dad found him in a Forrest. Years later. Ghostface would gain The Galactic Lion Driver, a device that gives Ghostface the power he would've had if he was never sent to earth.

This power up gives Ghostface the ability to:

Fly

Levitate

Run at lightspeed

Create blackholes with his claws

Can make the planets align so he can use a devastating attack called The Solar Blast

Can turn into a lion made out of stars and space itself that has a blackhole stomach

Gives him access to a giant mecha ship called Don Lio(Note he dose not have to have the power up active to summon Don Lio)

Can summon a giant mecha clone of himself called Obake no kao(Which is Ghostface in Japanese)(And this mecha requires the power up to be active)

Can summon a thing called a Planet Clone(He has a total of 9 of these) that can assist him in battle

And if you think that makes Ghostface the most powerful character in my AU...Welllllllll just you wait(Because he ain't the only brokenly over powered one in WarScream).

"Funtime Freddy Simp" Look i know the man is canonically a sadist who kills kids, but that's because of his programing. Poor boi just wants to entertain people but instead he gets reprogrammed to kill. So if you just removed that coding, he would go back to being a nice friendly boi who would give lots of hugs and cuddles!

And as we see, Funtime Freddy has taken a liking to my OC because of her seemingly being part Funtime Foxy.

"Fredbear(W/O Suit)" In my AU, Fredbear is this mecha armor being piloted by a man named Kung Jin(Note that he is never called this and is called Fredbear because any trace of his old name is erased). Kung is this armored man with no memories of his past, and he seems to be happy about that. So whenever Fredbear needs to be faster or fight better, he comes out of the mecha suit(His transformation goes like this).

"FivTrap(Redesign)" The original version of FivTrap was just a combination of Fiv and Springtrap. But i decided to give it a redesign and add in Clowntrap, Toxic Springtrap, and Spring Bonnie into the mix, so that means this combination is bassically the power of one family coming together!

"Final Spartan Sheets" Just some spartan OCs.

"Engineers Little Helpers" Engineer has two little helpers in the form of Helpy and Fixy. Helpy and Fixy are partners and help Engineer with repairs and even can be used as a power source for Engineers weapon, The Fixer Upper.

Where did you get the idea for itty bitty bat (and the minimonsters in general)? They remind me of the bad guys in power rangers and when patamon got dedigivoled in digimon adventures and want to know if who's right in this bet.

I just remember the running trend of little chibi monster creatures in anime I watched growing up, like Inuyasha with Shippo, Dinosaur King when the main protag's dinos aren't in battle.

So the closest to right guess would be Digimon since I watched and remembered more of that than Power Rangers as a kid.

So, I've finally decided to put down in an organized fashion, my Ryu Street Fighter Crossover Timeline I've noticed several paterns over each game that Capcom will use to envoke feelings of a specific game Alpha: White headband Street Fighter II- Suzaku Castle iconography, Ryu's SFII theme Street Fighter 4- Focus Punch/Wall Bounce Kick, "Volcanic Rim" as a theme SFV- Oddly, the most obvious tell for a SFV crossover game is grey haired Bison, as Capcom will often utilize classic Ryu but grey haired Bison Another interesting thing this puts into perspective is Ryu's age. Street Fighter II's attract screen tells us that Ryu was born in 1964. Similarly "Street Fighter Memorial Archives Beyond the World" says Ryu was 23 at the time of Alpha, so triangulating those two things, we can assume a calendar year for each game, and thus an age within for Ryu A few things of note before we get to the list proper: -I gave EX its own space because I love the SFEX games, remove it from your own timeline at your own pleasure. -I'm assuming that if a game gets an "ultimate" addition, *that's the cannon tournament. Street Fighter 3 is basically the only exception, because a quote from the Street Fighter III New Generation fanbook says it's a multi-year event.
