One time, like a decade ago, I cooked an orange in water in a pot and I set a timer and fell asleep but the water ran dry before the timer went off. I had to replace the pot and it took actual days to get the smell of burned fruit out of the kitchen.

Flaky Pie Crust, photo CJD.Sign
Hi, Sweet Friends!
I’m not going to lie I am a Casserole Loving Lady! I can remember my grandma fondly fixing many dishes, but my favorite was her deep dish Chicken Pot Pie. Even thinking about it my tummy starts to grumble.
This is one of my favorites. I hope you like it!

Taco Dip with Refried Beans
We love refried beans and this dip has lots. Said beans are spread into a pan, then slathered with spicy sour cream and salsa. Tomatoes, lettuce, onions and olives come next, with a sprinkling of Cheddar cheese on the top. Serve with chips and dip in.
