It goes something like this:
You’re a little bruised and battered. A little rough around the edges, yearning for the comfort of your bed. Maybe some brandy to chase away the ache and mask the throbbing between your ears, but…
Well, he’d sent for you. Of course he did. You’d barely stumbled back into Baldur’s Gate when he received word of your resurgence—gods damn his spies for occupying every nook and cranny of this city.
He could’ve at least granted you the luxury of a cold shower beforehand. Maybe even a change of clothes and the acrid sting of a beer at the back of your throat. You’ve just endured training from hell and deserve to push it all into the darkest reaches of your mind.
But nooo.
He wants to see you. Now. As if the stars will fall from the sky if you don’t show face. Given his might and overabundance of magic, he could very well make that happen.
So, here you stand. Before the towering, oakwood doors of the king’s quarters, a little worse for wear, a little over this shit.
Your uniform’s heavy and mottled with dirt. You’re still sweaty. Still achy, grinding your teeth and shifting your weight between your feet to take the pressure off them. Your exhaustion outweighs everything, burdensome on your shoulders like the buckles and leather ornaments dangling from your cloak.
You look and feel like utter shit, for lack of better terms. Not like it matters. He’s seen you at your worst and still beckoned you with a crooked smile and the curl of his elegant finger. And you always come running like the ever-faithful guard dog, exhaustion be damned.
The frigid metal of the door handles sends a shiver through your bones. Cold. Grounding. Much like him.
You heave a sigh. Your shoulders slump, and your head thuds softly against the door as you contemplate your life choices. Perhaps you were better off a street urchin, peddling stolen goods and picking pockets. At least then, you’d have the blessing of a night’s rest.
A few maids scuttle by, tickled by the pathetic scene you paint. In your peripheral, they wear omniscient grins as they pass you, and their giggles and whispers linger long after they turn the corner.
Like it’s some secret known to everyone else but you onwhy you’re here. Not in bed. Not licking your wounds and nursing your migraine with cheap booze.
Ugh.
You should be grateful. Not many have the privilege of being summoned to the king’s chamber. You’ve been here more times than you can count. More than the maids, his royal advisors.
You’re typically around for business, standing in good form on the other side of the doors. Quiet, attentive, obedient, loyal. You have to be. Your life is literally bound to his.
He’s your charge—your king.
You’ve seen him bleed. Trance. Sweat. Cry on rare occasions. He has kissed you. Touched you. Written the sweetest words into the junction of your shoulder with a sweltering mouth. Fed on you. Promised the best of things as he nibbled on your lip.
You’ve held his hand. Ran cautious fingers through alabaster curls. Whispered words of admiration into the stilled air of his room. You’ve been his confidant more than his bodyguard. Experienced segments of him his subjects could only dream of witnessing.
You count to five in your head. Grip the handles, your shoulder blades tensing, nails digging into the meat of your palms. The doors creak open with some effort, granting you a cool gust of wind on your tired, fevered skin.
Whatever conversation was taking place before your grand entry peters, and there are suddenly two sets of eyes regarding you with different levels of interest as you stand, weary and bone-tired, in the entryway.
Gale’s lips quirk into an awkward smile, brows creasing with sympathy as he cautiously rounds the desk. “Erm, how was your training?”
“Shit,” you answer quickly. Flatly.
Gale blinks, utterly floored by your brazenness. Then again, you’ve never been one to filter yourself in the royal advisor’s presence. Doesn’t help that you’re exhausted and itching for a bath.
Astarion arches a humored brow. ‘Atta girl,’ reads the proud twinkle in his eye.
Gale chuckles uncomfortably, sensing the shift in the atmosphere. Like you two are poised to pounce on him. “Er, right. My apologies for your…hardships.”
You shrug. “I survived. Got my ass kicked around a few times, but I’m here.”
The clearing of a throat draws your attention to your king. You straighten. “Right. Well, as riveting as this conversation has been, I think it’s time we wrap this up.”
Gale casts Astarion a pensive look. “Your Majesty, there is still much to discuss. The peace treaties, the plans for reconstruction. We’ve staved this off long enough.”
Astarion scoffs, rolling his eyes. Hands thrown up in dramatic flair. “Well, stave it off longer,” he commands, ushering Gale towards the entry of his quarters. “I’ve more…pressing matters to attend to.”
You don’t miss how Astarion’s mouth twitches when his eyes skim over you. Feel it tingling beneath your skin.
Halfway to the door, Gale looks between you and the king, fully aware of the implications of that statement. “Right. By pressing, you mean someone will be pressed up against a—”
“Get out!”

Writeblr intro
Hallooo..
not sure if I'm doing this right... tbh, idek what to put on here. Anyhow, I've been writing for about two years now (YAY!!). I mostly write poetry although as I write this most of my posts are short stories of the fantasy variety. I like reading swoon-worthy romances so if you write anything that makes me blush and kick my feet like the teenage girl I am, I will follow you and maybe stalk all your posts. If you are the grammar police I must warn you that you will be forced to arrest me after reading my posts (I'M WORKING ON IT, not really tho).
I've been on Tumblr for idk how long but I keep ghosting the app (Life and whatnot) I'm craving community, especially with fellow authors, maybe ones with more writing experience (I am a newbiiieee). Guys... I swear I won't ghost again 🤭.
And here are all my labels for all my lovely people:
She/Her
WOC
Queer (bi or pan idek man this sexuality shit aint for the weak of heart)
Retired Stoner (Moved to a place where I can't smoke)
Raging bitch (Moved to a place where I can't smoke)
Capricorn Sun, Sagittarius Moon, Capricorn Rising (Raging Bitch)
Not actually a raging bitch, just think it's funny (Please like me)
ADHD (Prone to run on sentences and overusing parentheses)
Chronically misunderstood (Capricorn)
Very Annoying (Sagittarius Moon)
Certifiably Woo-Woo (Hence the astrology references)
Not Funny (I think I'm hilarious and spent 5 minutes straight laughing at this little section)
Current WIPS
To The Stranger Who Stumbles ~ A collection of poetry written during a time of my life when I was experiencing some intense change and coming to terms with certain childhood events that were... not so fun.
Genre: Poetry
Word Count: 5953
Stage: Beta Reading (message me if ur interested)
The Mad ~ Mildred the Mad and her crew of dangerous and mythical women are charged with kidnapping and delivering the Seelie Prince to the Unseelie kingdom. But with every plan comes complications, some in the form of brooding king's guards.
Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Action
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Found Family
Current Word Count: 4434
Stage: ROUGH DRAFT and planning
P.S. My messages are open! Let's connect!
Published Works
The Hidden (w)Hole of a Heart ~ Literally my whole heart shat out onto paper. But seriously tho it's available on Amazon now and I would appreciate any support. In actuality, it's a story about a young woman (Yours Truly) coming to terms with her deeply feeling nature and Depression. The poems describe the heaviness of emptiness and the overwhelmingness of intense emotions.
Excerpts:
Haunted House
Feelings stick to my walls like ghosts,
How is an exorcism performed on a memory?
How do I let them pass through me?
An Apology to The Crone
Pressing my tiny fleshy palms to my ears,
I refused to hear the wisdom of the crone.
Her voice was scratchy with use,
As she warned me of my journey.
I’d close my eyes with every disaster.
The niggling feeling would whisper a wrong,
And I’d pray to God my feet were swift,
So, they could carry me away.
I’d refuse to harden,
Reasoning that beauty is only found in the soft.
I waited to be taken by my knight.
I never cared that the gleam in her armor was an illusion.
I stand unprepared for the cruel world.
Preserved in my maidenhood.
Having grown tired of disobedience,
The crone has abandoned me.
Only now do I see the clarity of your wisdom,
I will forever be sorry.
A Terrible High
on occasion
there are quiet moments
where minds begin to fill blanks
when small things grow
rock to boulder
smashing me against the ground
flat
nothing
2D
I’m nonexistent.
If I were nonexistent
the boulder would simply blow through
and I’d be nothing.
And I’d be okay.

: ̗̀➛ writeblr intro
Tumblr media
Hello there! My name is Jo (shocker!), I am in my 20s and I write stories and poems in my free time. I used to have a writing account on here many moons ago and I really miss the community, friendship and support of talking with other writers about our projects, so I am trying to rebuild what I've lost.
: ̗̀➛ about me
very interaction friendly. we're all just people on here (also please tag me in games forever)
science fiction! science fiction is my everything. it's whatever. I'm normal about it
themes I write about a lot include: death anxiety, internalized bigotry, general dissatisfaction and the complex and confusing nature of existence
scifi flavour wise i like doing weird time or multiverse stuff
I'm also queer (lesbian, aromantic, whatever), if that matters. This comes up a lot in my writing be it explicit or not.
I write in German and English
: ̗̀➛ my wips/projects
⸻ On the end of everything 🌠
An "essay" on how the multiverse died, those who noticed, and how they learned to live with their fates
[reblog tag] [posts tag] [wip intro]
⸻ Poetry 🗒️
I don't post my poetry on tumblr, instead I self host it here. I love writing poems I get such a kick out of it!
My favourite poem of mine atm is this one: Lines Out Of Context
⸻ Starship Lovelace 🚀
The Starship Lovelace is an Earth vessel far from home. The human crew mysteriously disappeared decades ago - now a small group of aliens has claimed the ship.
[posts + reblog tag]
A collection of half-assed short trips, I'm trying to build my own kind of space ship show here. It mostly serves as a way for me to keep writing and get ideas out of my head without much drafting or anything. I've got a pretty good vague plot for it in my head and I'm trying to do it justice with my newer, more thought out chapters. You can see all entries: here.
The stories are hosted on the space story collection pubnix/website Cosmic.Voyage, which i just know some of you would get a kick out of.
: ̗̀➛ inspiration
on the comedy side: the two Dirk Gently books, the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the Red Dwarf novels and Doctor Who and the Krikkitmen in particular (British people are grim, I like it)
on the more serious side: Frankenstein (my favourite book everr), many Doctor Who hiatus novels but especially Dead Romance by Lawrence Miles, the works of H.G. Wells (love that guys scifi that just completely misses the mark but was properly scientifically researched for its own time) and, to an extent, Der Tod und andere Höhepunkte meines Lebens by Sebastian Niedlich, which is a book I remember liking a lot as a young-ish teen
generally I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who and Star Trek
I sometimes reblog posts about media i really like on here too so for more check out the tag: good media
So. The first thing I’d better do is invent my audience. I'll pretend there are thousands of you out there, and I'll pretend you're all just like me; young, smart, pretty, and sarcastic (NB I’m probably being ironic here, although I’m not really sure any more). Just so we’ve got some common ground, I'll pretend you were born sometime in the late 1940s… No, sod that. I'll pretend you were born on 15 August 1948. All of you.
Well, why not? If you’re going to invent an audience, why not invent one in your own image?

#1, #5, #17 for the fic ask game!
ty for the questions!! they were hard!!
1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)
ok well the most strategic answer to this would probably be one of my au graphic collections (asoiaf and stranger things)!!! gives the reader an idea of the characters and relationships i'm interested in and the fact that i'm forever obsessed with aus. the kinds of stories that catch my interest/what i choose to expand on and what stays as just a lil idea. also!!! the reality that if they need something rn they might need to imagine a good chunk of it!! lmao
if they want to read an actual fic i would say all the right reasons (all the wrong places). it's a stranger things chrissy/robin bachelor au where you don't really need to have seen either source material to tap in, plus it's a finished original fic as opposed to a wip or fully adapted au.
5. What do you wish someone would ask you about [insert fic]? Answer it now!
ok really trying to think this one through and i bet something brilliant will come to me later but right now i just keep being like "hil how do you come up with such perfect adaptations from canon for your movie/tv show/whatever aus" like!!! babes i think real hard about it for a really long time 😩 it has to feel right!! and i have a backlog of au graphics i've finished making but haven't finished blurbs/casting for bc i can't figure out how this side plot works or whatever. it has to be the perfect marriage of the two things!!! it's tricky. that said i'm pretty pleased with myself for how i pulled it off for my sansa scream au howl and howl 2 (hopefully still maintaining some surprise for the finales!!! even if you can guess much of it ahead of time!!). howl 3 also in the works 😌
17. What highly specific AU do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it?
ummm i think howl hits that sweet spot actually 🙃 i write that for me and 1-3 potential readers i think.
the ones that are really just for me because they haven't even made it out of drafts or notes at all yet are like. high school musical robb/jeyne sansa/jon. sharp objects sansa/jon. killer klowns from outer space steve/chrissy/eddie lol. the host chrissy/robin and nancy/jonathan probably.
if i could just post notes and get away with it i would do that all the time!!!!! unfortunately for me a lot of the times people like fics to be actual writing and that takes me a lot longer than just coming up with ideas but i have ideas (especially au ideas) aplenty

Some More WIP and Stuff
To prove I'm not just making making TTRPG memes and shitposts masquerading as 'games' or whatever (I don't know if these will necessarily make that case, but they are are at least higher effort).
I previously posted some a WIP of Hierarchies of Circles:
Cuplets: A Collection of Libations for the Comprehensive Universal Poem System WIP
Tumblr media
So, there other night I was checking out entries to the 12-Word RPG Jam, because 12-Word RPGs have taken over my life, and I came across CUPS (Comprehensive Universal Poem System) by Chubby Crow Games (@harperthejay) and became absolutely obsessed with the simplicity and brilliance.
My neurodivergences were already already loving the 12-Word RPG constraints and adding poetry and/ or rhyme was just too much for my brain not to latch on to.
Tumblr media
(I see the glaring error here. Let's call it an ode to Game of Thrones)
I'm using Fancy Animals Art Pack by the incredible Diwata ng Manila for the cover and internal illustrations in which they will be explaining something about the history or form of the poetry aspect being used.
Tumblr media
I'm using couplets for optional rules and d8 encounters.
Each separate element in Cuplets uses the rules of the poetic form (that doesn't necessarily mean well or accurately) and are all under 12 words.
Tumblr media
D8 NPCs are in haiku, or rather, English haiku, which is simpler than the traditional Japanese form, focusing solely on the 5-7-5 syllable pattern. (obviously none are pictured above as I have yet to put them in).
I took a lot of inspiration from some real life inspiring people, taking aspects of them and making them more fantastical:
1. Deer druid scholar
Teaching the forest critters
Its patience, endless
2. Natural artists
Shaping saplings and briars
Goblin witch sisters
3. A brutal butcher
Mountain wolf of the Black Lodge
Bloody meat sculptures
Tumblr media
I am still worked on the d8 (might be pushing it) item acrostics:
1.
Stab
With
Overpowering
Righteousness!
D6 + d4 Hubris (randomly determine attacker/ defender)
2.
Stop
Hitting me
I don’t
Enjoy
Lacerations!
-D4 Mundane, Engender Passivity (Move slower)
I so excited to be working on this and to hopefully have it finished soon and submitted to the the 12-Word RPG and Forever Open Source Jams. [In the context of this jam, I again make cleared that my work will always be at least CC-BY-SA, but art liscnced from artists may have their own liscnces].
A huge thank you to @harperthejay for the inspiration and their fantastic CUPS system!

Hi again
Guess what?
It’s been a whole two years since I published my first fic! That’s a whole two years of creative writing, which is two whole years more than I ever expected. The WIP folder continues to grow alarmingly, but I’m getting used to the ideas breathing down my neck late at night as I try to sleep :)
In this past year, I’ve written another 17 fics for a total of 112,608 words - fewer than last year, although in my defense, I also wrote a dissertation that I will defend... tomorrow (don’t worry, I’m drafting this ahead of time and scheduling it to post), so I’ve been a bit busy! And this doesn’t count my WIPs - there’s a lot of words in those WIPs :)
I’ve branched out a bit: Only 13 Star Wars fics, with 4 Sandman fics and 1 Babylon 5 fic. 6 Star Wars fics involve Thrawn, with the others focused on Andor (2), Original Characters (2), Bo Katan (1), Obi-Wan (1), and the Original Trilogy (1).
In honor of another year of writing, and hopefully having the time for NaNoWriMo this year, here’s a roundup of my fics from this year!
(Last year’s fic roundup can be found here)
Series Additions:
Glimpses of a Better Galaxy gained the promised sequel, And So We Go Marching On, following Bo Katan as she works to rebuild Mandalore following the Clone Wars and the events of Get F***ed, Palps!. Series is up to four parts, with possibly a fifth on the way. Someday.
The Adventures of the Poor Sods Left to Clean Up Rebel!Vader’s Mess is now a two part series, It’s Not Easy Being Evil as the setup for Vader’s defection and the fallout on the Executor and Cool Ranch Vader 2: Electric Boogaloo as the promised continuation! Cool Ranch Vader 2 remains an ongoing collection of one-shots in the universe, although a plot is developing in my outlines...
Samakro’s Bathtub has gained its fourth part, Ar’alani’s Day... Could Have Gone Better, continuing the saga of the captain’s bathtub on the Springhawk (which Samakro continues to insist is his). Gen, all Ace/Aro characters.
Through Darkness now has a third part, which is the longest fic I’ve written yet at 44,586 words! Damned followed my Jedi OC, Kazellis, after Order 66 as she works to pick up the pieces of her life, her Fall, and the Jedi. Follows the events of Darth Vader (2017) Issue #19. A fourth part prequel is in the works.
Thrawn Standalones:
Rebel Tactics: Thrawn and Ezra play chess and talk tactics after the Rebels finale.
An Unfortunate Meeting of Minds: Admiral Thrawn walks into an art gallery run by one Luthen Rael.
A Csannukkah Story: Vurawn and Vurika celebrate the holidays together. A lifetime later, they meet again.
And This Was the Story He Told: Vurika reads Vurawn a story. Returning to the Ascendancy, together they search for the truth in old legends.
Spoilers, C’baoth Dies: In honor of May the Fourth, a drabble (exactly 100 words) with exactly what it says on the tin.
Other Star Wars Standalones:
The Demon from the Stars: Obi-Wan hears a Tusken story and contemplates the past.
The Ghosts of My Enemies Shall Be Their Undoing: a collab with the wonderful @jedihlaalu, Luthen Rael gives his apprentice a Sith holocron with a particularly ornery ghost (Sith OC).
In Another Life: An AU where Mon Mothma never got married and never wanted to, starring Senator Bel Iblis and Bail Organa.
The Bsivi Family: A recounting of a Chiss folktale from the freezing of Csilla.
Sandman Fics:
A Visit From Death: Death comes for Roderick Burgess, and a conversation between siblings.
Forever Shall We Wait: Lucienne waits for the return of her lord as the Dreaming crumbles.
“You’ll never know how lucky you were.”: An AU where Burgess captures Death, just like he wanted. Be careful what you wish for...
Babylon 5 Fics:
Summers: An AU where Talia Winters may not be entirely erased, and Dr. Franklin has a chat with Control. Sequels are, possibly, in the works when I have time to research DID properly.
New WIPs:
Untitled Secret Empire: Post-Rebels, Thrawn seeks to return to the Empire; but events in the Chaos may demand more of his attention than he expects! Actually an older, thought-to-be-abandoned WIP. I should have known better XD Outlined, attempting to draft by mid Ahsoka season 1, hoped to be finished by the end of Ahsoka season 1. We’ll see how that goes!
Untitled Myrkyr Exploration: Post-Rebels, Thrawn and Ezra visit a most curious planet. Outlined, a few scenes written.
The Edge Between Dream and Nightmare: Post-Ascendancy novels, Che’ri’s powers develop in an unexpected direction, which leads her back to an old friend. Mostly drafted, stuck on the ending.
Have You Tried Flying In Circles: Thrawn searches for the perfect planet for his exile, much to the growing frustration of the crew of the Parala. Outlined, first section drafted.
Untitled Locked Tomb: Fallen Order crossover starring Merrin and Cal exploring the tombs of Dathomir. Outlined, first section drafted.
Somehow, Maul Has Returned: Maul dies... but his apprentice needs him. Premise drafted, but not sure where I’m going with it; might just post for others to play with once it’s edited.
Good Soldiers Follow Orders: The events of Clone Wars: Orders through Fox’s eyes. A darker characterization than fandom’s usual. Drafted, needs editing.
Untitled Chiss OC: Backstory for my original Chiss navigator character, and a look at commoner’s life on Csilla. Part 1 drafted, may expand to part 2.
Catch a Tiger (Sandman fic): Delirium is summoned by a less-than-two-penny magician. It goes poorly. Drafted, needs editing.
Up Greens! (Babylon 5 fic): The Drazi remember a time when things didn’t end in fighting, and when once again it comes times to pick sides, they call in their savior. Ivanova did not sign up for this. Drafted, needs editing.
Untitled Mari’s Story (Original Work): Backstory for a D&D NPC and their adventures in a fantasy version of northern Africa during the Islamic Golden Age. Outlined.
Updates On:
The Gambler (Rebel!Thrawn) Part 4: outlined
This’ll Make a Great Story at our Second Wedding (Thranto Ghost Marriage) Part 2: Outlined, one section written.
Sortie (Rebel!Samakro): living in my head rent-free. Still an outline and prologue.
Crotalus and Viperidae (Sith and Jedi OCs): next up once I finish Secret Empire.
Zero Station (Chiss history): well, we hit that part of the D&D game, so I have to write it eventually :)
Rise, Wrath, Ruin (Boudica original work): expanded character list and a few sections written.

TESTING OUT THE QUOTE REPLY THINGY? Very long after the post that inspired said replies, but what-the-fuck-ever:
@theladyw replied to your post “I have 314 things in my q  it is dumb how happy...”:
Pi
🥧! I have turned into a failure of a nerd, I didn’t even notice that, I’m just still thrilled I can go over 300 now, after getting into some very bad drafting habits from getting stuck at 299 a few too many times 🤣
@oranges8hands replied to your post “so staff is working on POLLS which will be great...”:
#6 could be fun but true vote is mermay fic (assuming this is referring to the malec fic - or even better the follow-up to the AU mermay fic cause that thing lives in my head rent free) or sh wip - like another chapter of "if broken hearts were whole" or if you were still doing a sequel to "with an if in its soul".
I mean. IN THEORY ALL THOSE THINGS WILL HAPPEN SOME DAY?
I don’t usually actually totally abandon the WIPs. I have only done so twice in a dozen years? That’s not bad odds, tbqh. Now, has it been longer than usual without managing forward progress on quite so many of them? Perhaps....
*sighs forever*
@jadesabre301 replied to your post “so staff is working on POLLS which will be great...”:
considering I just wrote a nearly 6K summary of a fic I'm not going to write, I'm a big fan of the not!fic collection idea.  But also you should probably work on the thing where snippets are due soon.
Not!Fic is fun! (I have like 10k of journal entries for Ella Shepard that aren’t fic but are good background references, yk?)
& I did not do the thing, and continue to be snippet-less past the deadline. No art for jilly. (But a belated thank you for the pragmatic advice? 😅😅😅😅)
@leahazel replied to your post “so staff is working on POLLS which will be great...”:
I should do a poll like this but for all the unfinished scenes in one WIP.
On the one hand, YES! otoh, my polls have not actually been helping me do anything lately, so uh? YMMV?!?! *snerk*
@servantofclio replied to your post “so staff is working on POLLS which will be great...”:
I admit Downworld for Dummies sounds hilarious to me
I mean. I find it hilarious, that’s why I started writing it? But then it needed more effort and I went *thbbbbbbbt* because my brain is mushy.
@thedivinemissema replied to your post “so staff is working on POLLS which will be great...”:
4 sounds good to me!
WELL IT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME TOO BUT I KEEP NOT WRITING IT?
I should yell about it on a 7kpp server or something, see if that helps me get back into it 🤞🤞🤞 (I just realized  I don’t think we share any discord servers, wtf? How did that happen? Or not happen. Also I have too many that I never check in on, I should do some pruning.)

Blog Guidlines/Requests
A small intro/rant: This is a safe place to create and enjoy fandom and characters we all know any love. The amazing thing about fiction is it is purely fiction, lots of my writing I will project real life themes and problems into it because it is my own coping mechanism. Again this is a safe place for all of those thoughts and feelings, however, this is also a place of zero tolerance for any hate speech, homophobia, or racism. Let's hold each other accountable for these things as well as understand that everyone experiences them differently. It is my job as a creator to right my wrongdoings and yours as a consumer to inform me and others of them.
Lots of the fandoms I write for either were written or are written by menacing people. Potential writers, producers or even the actors of our beloved characters. It is in this shared platform for all of us to confide and grow within our fandoms. If see a character you do not enjoy on my blog or would like to chat about our mutual or non-mutual understandings of their choices please feel free to DM me!
Are Requests and Asks Open? Yes! Forever, I can’t say when I’ll get to them because I have ADHD and definitely have over 30 drafts sitting already but I would love the interaction! However fix requests do take priority over my own hyper fixation WIP pics soooo... Do with that information what you will. hehe
Who do you write for? Please see within Characters, I have a few random ones as well from obscure media I’ve consumed. If you want to ask for a non listed character too, I may not answer if I don't know or will point you in the right direct of a mutual.
I do also write in Original Character and Fem!Reader POV, I am trying to branch out but until I’ve more confident within my writing skill I think that and then Character x Character are my comfort points.
What is off-limits? This is difficult because a lot of my healing is within my writing. As well one of my main fandoms is Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. I feel hypocritical if I have harsh limits, here my request if you wish for something darker all parties must be 18 years of age. I do refuse to write minors and direct insest (ie, Mother-Son, Sister-Brother etc). To me that sounds reasonable without being a hypocrite.
Any Series or Mini will have a intro with the long-term warnings at the very beginning. I will be shortening my openings for the more tame thing but if it is a series or darker/hardcore smut it will be jam-packed with the warnings/tags/themes at the beginning.
What should I request? Anything! Give me inspo!! As long as it follows the guidelines above I will try my best to bring your request to life. You can also include as many or little details as wanted. Again I do write for AFAB and she/her as of right now for X readers. All SMUT requests must be sent off - anon! I will also look to your profile for your age. If you wish to still request and you just don’t want the URL associated. DM me and I will post the request with the text and your name will not be mentioned! This is for our collective safety ya’ll.
Feel free to ask for any clarification! I appreciate all of you, kiss-kiss

Fanfic writer interview
I stole this from @walk-ng-d-saster! I haven’t done any writing memes in a while and wanted to.
How many works do you have on AO3?
I have 9 posted to AO3. Some I admit to deleting prior to joining the swtor fandom.
What’s your total AO3 word count?
115,079 words! A good chunk of that comes from To Reclaim What Was Ours, and another from From Past to Present.
How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
Three: swtor, stardew valley and hots of all things lol.
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
To Walk Soil Again: A one-shot introducing my lovely togruta-sith man.
From Past to Present: A slow-burn exploring the first moments between Altrethir and Theron Shan during the events of Shadow of Revan.
A Risk I Dare Not Take: A one-shot exploring the inner thoughts of Vector Hyllus as he realizes he’s fallen in love with his cipher agent.
Letters for the Weary-Hearted: What was supposed to be a collection of works featuring the farmer from Stardew Valley and Elliott. (very old fic.)
An Unlikely Alliance: A slow-burn featuring characters from Heroes of the Storm. (even older fic yucky.)
Do you respond to comments; why or why not?
I do try! I value engaging with others in the fandom, whether it’s through feedback or just keysmashing lol.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I haven’t finished any multi-chapter fics LOL. Ohhh hmmm I’ll bet To Reclaim What Was Ours will have a more angsty ending than I initially intended. Knowing where things will go after the fall of the Eternal Empire, I have a lot of set-up I can do to set that in motion.
Do you write crossovers? If so, what’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Idk if hots counts since it’s a mashup of tons of bliz.zard characters. An Unlikely Alliance would be the closest thing to that.
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
I haven’t.
Do you write smut? If so what kind?
I do. I don’t include smut scenes in my main fics as I like to keep the focus on the plot and story. Seldom does a smut scene contribute toward those things. So, I keep them in their own separate fics. I have Allured, featuring Altrethir and Theron, and To You, Only Loyalty, with Alamor and Vector. I have more smut wip’s sitting in my drafts--some really close to being finished--but I haven’t had motivation to finish them lol. Some featuring more Altrethir/Theron, but ALSO a couple with Fen and Zenith.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I’m aware of.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
I haven’t.
What’s your all time favorite ship?
I really love all my ships. Altrethir/Theron will always have a special place in my heart and I believe they’re the most fleshed-out ship of mine.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
UHHH. A lot lmao. I don’t post fics I don’t think I can finish to AO3 though.
What are your writing strengths?
I’ve been told I’m good at imagery and visuals when I actually decide to include them lmao. Otherwise, I enjoy writing dialogue.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Smut, in a sense. I feel like it’s just repetitive and not unique or creative enough. I’m attempting a smut scene with lots of prose and I think that’ll give me a boost of confidence whenever I finish and post it.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I keep my fics in English and imply or directly specify that characters are speaking another language when it’s called for. Or, I’ll use a foreign word and translate it in the following paragraph.
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
My god. Pokemon I think?????? It’s been 10+ years lmao. That garbage is lost forever, good riddance.
What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?
From Past to Present is becoming my favorite. I feel like it started out a little rough, but I’m really thinking this one through and putting my own unique storytelling into an established story. The past two chapters, for example, are ones I was really excited to post. They were fun to write and to think through.
If anyone else would like to fill this out, go ahead and say I tagged you!

Fic Writer Interview
I was tagged by @thisbluespirit who has most excellent timing in providing me with this fabulous procrastination tool for talking about writing when I should actually be writing.
Name: Luthien. I’ve been Luthien in online fandom since 1998-ish, but it was also a joke nickname in a group of RL friends before that, which is a long story. But yeah, I’ve been Luthien approximately forever. (Ebonyx is the nickname for my now departed much-loved tuxedo cat, Ebony, if you were wondering. I’m Luthien most places in fandom, but the cat comes with me if Luthien isn’t available as a username.)
Fandoms: I started in Xena: Warrior Princess fandom, and there have been lots of others since. Fandoms that I stayed in for longer than five minutes (and a couple of times for up to five years)/wrote more than one story for include (the ones that I can remember off the top of my head) Harry Potter, the original Battlestar Galactica (1978), Pet Shop of Horrors, Stargate Atlantis, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Lewis, Once Upon a Time, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and, of course (and entirely by accident) Game of Thrones.
Where you post: These days, only on AO3, apart from some small tumblr prompt fills that then end up on AO3. Originally, I posted to mailing lists, and my fic ended up in lots of small, stand-alone archives devoted to a single fandom/pairing/character. Then LJ was where I posted for a long time. Tried ff.net at one point in the early 2000s. We weren’t a good fit. Oh, and I had my own website, too - had to learn html to do that originally.
Most popular one-shot: In terms of kudos, A Night to Remember, which is a Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries PWP. In terms of hits, Plain Jane, a Once Upon a Time canon divergence, which is one of my favourite stories out of everything I’ve ever written. (Also, some of my HP fic back in the day probably would take the prize overall, but it was all posted long before AO3 was a gleam in astolat’s eye. In Whisky Veritas, one of my Snape/Hermione fics, still has a stupid number of hits for something so old. I never know which of my fics are going to be zombie fics, and never quite die, but that one is definitely the biggest zombie of the lot.) So far as my JB fic goes, it’s Beloved and A Doom Unescaped.
Most popular multi-chapter: I actually haven’t written all that many multi-chaptered fics over the years, partly because I often wasn’t well enough to write them, and partly because they were frowned on a lot in the fannish circles I used to move in. That said, The Personal Touch is the most popular multi-chapter fic I’ve ever posted in any fandom, on every metric.
Fic you were nervous to post: Well, every fic. I always feel sick right before I hit the “post” button. But more than usually nervous? I think the first time I posted het I was pretty nervous, because I was a slasher, and there was a much bigger divide then than there is now. I’m usually not that nervous when I first post in a new fandom, though, because I don’t know anyone, I’ve got nothing to lose, and it’s like I can just sneak in, drop the fic, and then run away without being seen. (That was what was supposed to happen with JB. Oops.)
How do you choose your titles? Sometimes they’re song lyrics or quotes from poems or whatever; often they just come to me. I have a very big thick book of quotations for those stories that just don’t WANT to be named. (Sometimes this works really well. I really liked the fit of the title when I finally found the right quote for As Sunlight Drinketh Dew, for example.) I like a title with more than one meaning to it, if I can manage it, or something which points to things being not quite as straightforward as they appear on the surface. My recent Queen’s Thief story was about an eleven-day journey through the mountains, but the fic was called Twelve Days, because the story was actually about the emotional journey the characters were on rather than the physical one, and that didn’t end until they were out of the mountains.
Do you outline? Hahaha. Um, I am definitely what GRRM calls a gardener rather than an architect. I have TRIED to outline, and all that happens is that I end up with scene drafts instead of an outline. My usual method is to just keep a list of bullet points and jot things down as I work them out. Sometimes I’m wrong, and then I argue with myself from bullet point to bullet point. They’re usually in any sort of order, and include details ranging from the main beats of the story to some silly joke or line or reference that I need to remember to include when I get to a later part of the story. I DID write a chronology for both Twelve Days (for obvious reasons) and also for my Yuletide fic, but those were definitely not outlines. No, nuh-uh. (Don’t want to scare my brain by making it think it has to deal with an actual outline.)
(Slightly more) seriously, though, I know the way my writing brain works. It needs to know the skeleton of the story: the general shape of the story, the main beats, where it starts and where it ends. But everything else, the flesh in between the bones, comes out in the writing. If I know too much before I write, the story tends not to work.
Complete: 128, not counting my Yuletide fic, and also not counting various old stories that never made it to AO3.
Do you take prompts?  Sometimes. If I’m foolish enough.
In progress: 10 on AO3, but that includes a couple of open-ended collections, plus a couple of WIPs in old fandoms that, realistically, I’m very unlikely to ever return to. There are four JB fics that need finishing, and no, I haven’t forgotten about any of them. I just only have so much energy available for writing. I also still have to finish my JB chill exchange fic - which is what I should be working on right now but hey, there was this meme...
Coming soon: My Yuletide fic, which I obviously can’t talk about yet. I’ll just say that it’s a story I’ve thought about writing for quite a while, and I was thrilled to finally get the chance to do it. And also my JB Chill Exchange fic, which is... well, you’ll see. ;)
Tagging: Fellow procrastinators @robotsdance and @firesign23. Also: @samirant @slipsthrufingers @nire-the-mithridatist @kiraziwrites @sdwolfpup @scoundrels-in-love @schweetheart @woodelf68 @blatheringbluejay and anyone else who wants to do it.

Tell me more about some fallout WIPs! Ghoul courier, gob/charon/nova, or glory/dez?? Any or all, writers choice. <3
Synth!Courier concept is what I think you meant, so!
This doc is a collection of bullet point ideas, still searching for an actual plot. In a nutshell: This Courier is an escaped Courser from the Institute, somewhere between Gen 2 and 3. She looks mostly human, but is just enough off to fall into the uncanny valley for those who pay attention; absolutely no body hair, eyes that glint oddly in certain lighting, abnormally slow breathing (when she bothers to breathe at all), and is extremely dense compared to regular human meat-sacks. She has an eidetic memory and deals with her past trauma and history of having done Bad Things on behalf on the Institute by selectively forgetting things, purging her memory-discs every so often to clear room.
Or, as one bullet point sums it up: “She ditches most of her existential angst each time in order to maintain her happy-go-lucky murderbot persona.”
She feels most comfortable in Jacobstown, among all the other once-supersoldiers. Keene doesn’t trust her, not until she brings Dog back from the Sierra Madre. She’s missing an arm, still cradling that hunk of metal and skin-clad circuitry, and this is when everything clicks for Keene. “Ah, she’s a monster. Just like us.”
Again, this is mostly ideas in search of an actual plot. And a lot of navel-gazing about what is guilt, what is redemption, what does it mean to have deliberately turned your back on the one thing you were created for?
[WIP] On the Edge of Forever - Nova/Gob/Charon
This one is actually at ‘first draft’ status (all 3.5k words of it!) except that it just doesn’t feel right, and I can’t put my finger on what needs to be fixed. I suspect it’s something to do with the pacing, or maybe cleaning up some of the imagery motifs running through it.
It’s a slice of life domestic fluff fic, all three having an established relationship, and following Nova’s POV as she goes through a typical day running the bar with her boyfriend (Gob) and her boyfriend’s boyfriend (Charon). They both surprise her with a present at the end of the day.
[wip] Cardinal Sins - Glory/Dez
Very self-indulgent purple prose character study. Rereading it, I think that technically I could post it, but...just doesn’t feel right. Originally written in 2016, and hasn’t been touched since then.
Here’s the first paragraph anyway.
Glory kisses Desdemona savage and fierce-- stolen moments and contraband joys, wraps her fingers tight against Dez’s scalp and presses Dez against the wall, a hand behind Dez’s head to keep from rattling her skull against the stone beneath the church. Could stamp Dez into her like indelible ink, mark every inch of her lover with her hands stroking well-traveled paths, secret passages writ on skin-maps of flesh and memory. Reads every moan and sigh, illuminates scripture as she kisses, smears bruised-plum lipstick down Dez’s neck, down the safe and hidden shadows under Desdemona’s scarf.
Thank you for the ask! :D
(All titles come from this ask meme!)

Name(s): Kira, Kiraly (on AO3, Dreamwidth, Discord) worldsentwined (Tumblr, Twitter)
Fandom(s): So if we go by “has created fanwork for at some point” I have at least twelve under my belt, maybe more if I’ve made some fanart that isn’t on AO3. Currently my brain is pointing at The Queen’s Thief and The Murderbot Diaries, with a side order of DnD, but I can’t quite give up on my unfinished SSSS works.
Where you post: Fic? AO3, with a rare ficlet on Tumblr. Fanart mainly goes here, when it happens. DnD character backstory is mostly just on Discord for now, I don’t know if it would be worth it to cross-post.
Most Popular One Shot (by kudos) this year: Contingency Plan 6186 words, 135 kudos
Most Popular One Shot (by kudos) Overall: Borrowed (The YOI fandom was SO good for my self-esteem, this one got like five comments within an hour of posting). 6106 words, 482 kudos
Most Popular Multi-Chapter (by kudos) this year: Oh hey, I actually did post a chapter of Every Little Thing He Does Is Magic this year! Time is totally fake. 31906 words, 40 kudos, I swear I will not leave you all hanging with the current chapter forever.
Most Popular Multi-Chapter (by kudos) Overall: If we’re counting ficlet collections, it’s Vignettes with 8437 words and 145 kudos (technically unfinished, as I will keep dumping Emil/Lalli ficlets here if I have them). If we aren’t, it’s still Before It Was Cool even after all this time - 31899 words, 118 kudos, unfinished and increasingly likely to stay that way I’m so sorry y’all.
Favorite story you’ve written so far: Oh gosh, I don’t know how to choose! Picking some from this year that aren’t already on the list, I’m so proud of how Seven Summers Ago turned out, Soldier, Poet gives me SO many feels, and it was so much fun writing Dear Mx. Machine Manners with Anrea and KalynaAnne!
Fic you were nervous to post: Ehhh I can’t remember any in particular...I think in general I get nervous posting my first fic for a new fandom, and anything for an exchange because I’m worried my recipient won’t like it.
How do you choose your titles?: Sometimes I pick a silly title for the draft document and it ends up becoming permanent (looking at you, Every Little Thing etc.) Other times I get to the end and need a title, so I either 1) look through the fic for some good line I can steal from myself, 2) look through the source material or song lyrics to find a good line I can steal from someone else, or 3) whine at my friends until someone suggests something brilliant. Once in a while I come up with a random title out of nowhere, or figure out what I want the permanent title to be before I’ve even started writing...that’s what happened with Contingency Plan, I wanted something that resembled the book titles.
Do you outline?: Not usually? Sometimes for multichapter fic I write down ideas for what will happen in future chapters (I did this for Every Little Thing etc and it helped a LOT) but usually I just wing it.
Complete: 140 on AO3...if we’re counting the ficlet collections as single, complete works, which I am because I am too lazy to count chapters right now.
In-Progress: Uhhh...let’s say three incomplete on AO3, two of which have already been mentioned I’m so sorry and an absolute mountain of WIPs that haven’t been posted yet. The other partially-posted one is Piecing Together An Imperfect Archive, which I wrote for a writing challenge in 2019 and decided to continue. I actually worked on it some this summer, maybe one day I will pick it up again. It is original work and has like NO engagement on AO3 though, so external motivation is not high.
Coming soon/not yet started: Listen I do NOT need more WIPs...the QT Bakery AU has been progressing though, slightly morphed into a cross-town road trip AU. And I was working on a sequel for Waking Up during NaNo but lack of planning got me very lost, haha. There are also some ideas lurking from the Murderbot discord, we’ll see what comes of those.
Prompts?: I will never say no to prompts, but fair warning they might languish in my inbox forever.
Upcoming work you’re most excited about: I am excited for the Bakery/Road Trip AU to be done. Does that mean I’m actually working on it?? Debatable.
Tagging: anyone who wants to do this, I never know who has or hasn’t done these already. ^_^;

I performed my first ever CPR on a dummy this week! *u* I couldn’t stop grinning during the lecture and demo; I never expected I’d be putting to good use my research for this part in my WIP (which was based from this prompt list) one year later. XD Since I’m not sure I’ll ever finish it, might as well post this draft to commemorate a successful CPR return demo~
11. With a shuddering gasp
It’ll be fine, Mai.
“…Twenty-six. Twenty-seven. Twenty-eight. Twenty-nine. Thirty.”
You trained for this. Got certified specifically for this.
Head tilt-chin lift.
And the ambulance is en route.
Rescue breathing: first rescue breath. Naru’s chest rose. Second rescue breath.
“One. Two. Three. Four. Five. I threw a wish in the well. Don’t ask me I’ll never tell…” Mai hummed to keep the beat. “…Twenty-six. Twenty-seven. Twenty-eight. Twenty-nine. Thirty.”
Head tilt-chin lift.
First rescue breath. Second rescue breath.
She maintained the pacing, cycle after cycle.
Back when she was training to get certified for occupational first aid, her trainers had enumerated only three valid reasons to stop CPR: when the ambulance arrives, when the person wakes up, or when the first responder can no longer continue.
Mai heavily banked on either of the first two options because the third one was absolutely not an option right now.
Twenty-six. Twenty-seven. Twenty-eight. Twenty-nine. Thirty.
Head tilt-chin lift.
First rescue breath. Second rescue breath.
Naru had always had the perfect timing when fainting from using his PK on his own. Like during Chiaki-senpai’s case. Or the Yoshimi case. This time, his body—his heart and lungs, to be specific—chose to stop working in a traditional house on the outskirts of Kyoto. Unequipped with an automated external defibrillator. In the middle of rush hour.
Though she wanted to cry her frustration out, she’d really rather use that energy to revive. This. Idiot. Twenty-nine. Thirty.
And once he was revived…
What then?
Head tilt-chin lift.
First rescue breath. Second rescue breath.
Naru let out a shuddering gasp.
Everyone released the collective breath they’d been holding. While Lin-san kept Naru reclined on his side and Mai monitored him, the rest of SPR burst into action: Ayako called the nearest hospital for updates on the ambulance; Bou-san and John concluded the investigation; Masako and Yasu updated the clients of Naru’s status.
Mai observed him. His chest rose and fell in erratic rhythm, and his pulse tapped weakly against her finger. But a breath and a pulse—those were all she needed to be assured of his survival.
Adrenaline released its hold on her, and she allowed herself to slump sideward in exhaustion.
Lin-san started. “Taniyama-san!”
“I’m fine, Lin-san,” she said, her attention never straying from Naru. He was just a few inches from her now. So close.
As she stared at his pallid face, the silent question returned: Once Naru revived, what would she do?
His eyes fluttered open and gradually focused on hers.
“Naru.”
Once he revived…
I’ll spend the rest of my life by his side, even if that meant being his assistant forever.
She held his gaze, unheeding of the crescendo of sirens announcing the ambulance’s arrival.
Even if she couldn’t take his breath away, she damn well could return it to him.

author interview
I got tagged by @ma-suranas tysm leo!
im gonna tag: @trvelyans, @dickeybbqpit, @arlathen, @apostatetabris, and anyone else bc i think loads of people have done this already but if nahhh then you’re tagged
name: goblin-deity here and over on ao3
where you post: Mostly here on tumblr, but I’ve been doing a better job at migrating my works onto ao3 to keep better track of them/have a better place to host em than tumblr
most popular oneshot: i used to have a bunch of kudos/views on older works I have since deleted off my ao3, but nowadays it’s between this old pavellan fluff and some fhr smut.
most popular multi-chapter story: I used to write them, but I don’t anymore and I deleted those fic, so none now!
favorite story you’ve written: to be honest it’s really hard to pick since I have favorites that have come and gone with fandoms. but i also have a lot of favorites for a lot of different reasons. this one was a fun exercise in angst and a lot more filling out pollux and ortega’s relationship beyond the fluff, this one is just fluff which is so hard to write sometimes. this one because it was nice to change to jamie and chen instead and playing around with their dynamic is a nice break from pollux and ortega. I had fun with this one with the dialogue and more fleshing out the rougher parts of pollux and ortega and how they bother each other. this one is one word: smoft.
story you were nervous to post: the first smut I posted of darva and dorian because it was smut, but it was also smut between a trans man and a gay man and I know da fandom has some transphobic af gross people in it. I was nervous over it being smut but also bc transphobia.
how you chose your titles: I will sometimes go with song titles or refer back to something prominent in the fic, like road maps and road markers is a callback to the imagery in the fic. but mostly with prompts, the prompt is the title.
complete: everything that is posted is completed. there are a few things lingering that i would like to finish, but they stand well enough as their own fics that they don’t need more to them. sorta like chaptered works where the chapters all stand on their own.
incomplete: lookin at my 84 tumblr drafts and there are a lot of things that are incomplete. some of them will forever be stuck in wip hell like things I’ve borrowed from or reworked into a different bit, etc.
do you outline? ehhhh not really? not in the physical sense, but I do have a general idea of what I want from a prompt to the next. they usually start with a singular idea and then building off of that. like i have a wip that started off as pollux helping drunk ortega home, which then has had parts added onto it in my head like pollux showing ortega his face then because he’s drunk and won’t remember. and maybe kiss him. i dunno, it’s about how it flows together.
coming soon/not started yet: I have a few ideas in my drafts I want to explore more and others I want to rework. I have an idea of ortega having a scrapbook of old newspaper clippings. another one is that pollux is going to have to give away his cat to someone because he knows he’s going to die.
do you accept prompts? yeah I have prompts open all the time for the most part! i like the one word micro-story prompts, but i do have a collection of other prompts found here
upcoming story you are most excited to write: i’m kinda like this with all my drafts? i get excited about the different parts of my different drafts. but i’ve been thinking a lot about the wip i shared the other day of the cemetery scene. it’s a confrontation that i’ve been wanting to write between pebbles and ortega for ages.

Author Meme
I was tagged by @wiz-witch! Thanks!
Author Name: I go by serendipitouslyss on my writing social media, so I guess that would be it?
Fandoms You Write For: Right now my main fandom is Mob Psycho 100, but in the past I’ve also written for The Adventure Zone, Yuri on Ice, and the Legend of Zelda series (specifically botw). I’d also really love to write for Fire Emblem Three Houses sometime soon!
Where You Post: I post here on this blog and also on AO3 under the name SerendipitousLyss!
Most Popular One-Shot: In the Mob Psycho 100 fandom, my most popular work is Abuse of Authority, which was also my very first mp100 fic! Overall, though, my most popular one-shot is When I Go to Sleep, I Dream I’m in Darkness, for the taz fandom!
Most Popular Multi-Chapter Story: For mp100, my most popular is Don’t Thank Me Yet, but overall my most popular multichap fic is, again, from the taz fandom, and it’s called Ninety Years Running, Three Days Gone. Never finished that one though, unfortunately.
Favourite Story You Wrote: Probably the first part of my Reach AU! It’s called Reach (for things you thought were gone forever) and I just had such a fun time writing it and describing stuff haha! It’s long-winded but I’m still super proud of it.
Story You Were Nervous to Post: I was pretty nervous to post Don’t Thank Me Yet at first due to the darker-than-usual subject content, but in the end it was well-received!
How Do You Choose Your Titles: I either come up with something halfway through drafting or add a title literally right before I post the thing, it depends! Most of my titles are come up with last second. Some of them are quotes, some are just random poetic nonsense I come up with on the spot lol.
Complete: I have uuhh a lot of complete fics (including drabbles and one-shots) so I’ll just list a few of my favorite here I guess! Linger - A post-Mogami arc exploration of Mob’s potential traumas. Lots of hurt/comfort and some light terumob. Abuse of Authority - Set directly post-World Domination arc. All the boys go to Reigen’s house to sleep over and he’s basically just a Dad. And Just Like That, They’re Gone - Post-canon wish fulfillment for myself where Teru and Shou move in with Reigen and Serizawa! It’s a collection of drabbles about Reigen taking in the boys and eventually having to let them go again into their adult lives. Very bittersweet, nostalgic, and just overall sweet and good haha. Concordat - A one-shot I wrote for a few friends’ mp100 Detective AU! Shigeo gets kidnapped by Claw a child after hurting Ritsu and, with nowhere else to go, Ritsu enlists psychic PI Reigen to help him find his brother. It’s just.. a very good AU with great dad!Reigen and Ritsu vibes, which is one of my favorite relationships in the series!
In-Progress: Including series, I have a few wips! For the Sake of a Smile is 6 chapters in out of 35 (or more, that’s just an estimation). It’s a Mob Psycho 100/Kitchen Princess fusion that puts the mp100 characters in the kp setting. Reach AU has three parts out (one of which is still in progress) and has a fourth part in the planning stages. It centers around a winged Ritsu and Shigeo after their parents are killed by hunters, and also heavily focuses on Shou and Teru, who are humans who get mixed up with Ritsu and Shigeo in different ways. Very fantastic in nature and I play around with description and imagery a lot! I also have other series, like Touch Starved and the series I put all my tumblr requests in, but those are more like one-shot or drabble collections than works in progress!
Coming Soon/Not Yet Started: I have a mermaid AU in the works that I’d love to write sometime, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet! I’m also planning out the fourth part of Reach as well as the second chapter of Bow Your Head (which is about uuhh halfway done I think?) so I definitely have some stuff coming! I also have a comedy/crack fic in progress that I’ll hopefully be posting sometime soon.
Do You Accept Prompts: I do! I love getting prompts, though I can’t always actually write them/they don’t always inspire me to write something.
Upcoming Story You Are Most Excited to Write: I’ve been writing a lot of For the Sake of a Smile recently, and I’m pretty excited about where it’s heading! I’m also pretty excited to write the next part of Reach AU.
Tagging: I’ll tag uuhhh @grandmasterreigen @postingpebbles and @lazzulis if yall wanna do it!

11/11/11 Tag
Rules: Answer the 11 questions of the person who tagged you, make up 11 questions, then tag 11 people to answer them.
Sorry this took so long. I'm really bad at tag games, but I do love to participate. Thanks for tagging me! I was tagged twice, so I'm going to do both.
Tagged by @liesversusjournals
1. Are you a plotter or pantser?
Definitely more of a pantser. I find if I outline things completely, I don't enjoy writing the draft or feel compelled to finish it. I have a lot of fun unpuzzling plot when pantsing and have a strong enough grasp of story structure to still produce a coherent draft.
2. Do you write using a computer or pen and paper?
Honestly, I do a lot of writing on my phone. I always have it on me and I'm a horrible typer. I do use a laptop for formatting and later drafts and I like to brainstorm on paper, but I do quite a lot of work on google docs on my phone.
3. How much writing do you get done on an average day?
Oof. I usually write at least a paragraph or poem every day so that's about 100-200 words. It usually leads to around 500 words if I'm writing prose, but not always. If I really don't feel like writing, I just don't. Which has been a lot of days in the past few months.
4. Which present work(s) are you most proud of?
I'm proud of my short story "Baby's Breath" (now called "Breathe for Me") in which a woman gives birth to a child with flowers growing in their throat, obstructing their airway. It has a ways to go, but it's fairly solid in this stage. I'm also proud the poem "Dancing to Our Deaths" which is a conversation on voicelessness in times of struggle and utilizing body language and ASL to reclaim voice without verbal speech.
5. Which past work(s) are you most proud of?
Hm, I don't know. I am proud of myself for writing and finishing things but as I look back, I see so many flaws in works. I take it to mean I'm better now, so I'm most proud of my current work.
6. Which present work(s) are you the least proud of?
Some short stories in They Leave Your Bones Behind have yet to reach their full potential. "Luminous Spaces" is basically my favourite concept, but it's not in the right place as of yet. It can be super dynamic and complex, but it falls a little flat in this early draft. It will get better, I hope, in revisions!
7. Which past work(s) are you least proud of?
I've written some really crappy stories in my childhood. Now that I think about it, when I was maybe 12, I used a site called Miss Literati and wrote a really weird romance I think is very cringe. Glad to have finished that novel, but it's like just not good.
8. Which books/authors have influenced you most?
The authors that helped me realize I wanted to write as a kid: Beverly Cleary, Kate DiCamillo and Cecilia Galante. And the books/authors that have illuminated, even in the smallest way, the niche I'd like to fill and/or the stories I'd like to tell: Kirsty Logan, Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng, Jen Campbell, Spellbook of the Lost and Found by Moira Fowley Doyle, Delicate Edible Birds by Lauren Groff, The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X. R. Pan, and Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado.
9. Describe your writing process from when you get the idea to when it's polished.
It differs from project to project, but generally I don't really outline. I write a zero draft to grasp what the story's going to be. Then, I reread and take notes about what changes I'd like to make in draft one. I completely rewrite for that draft, then from there make mostly smaller changes. It can be a lot of drafts until it feels 'polished'.
10. How many drafts do you write until you feel satisfied with a project?
It can be a lot. Anywhere from 3 to like 10 drafts. Probably 10 if I'm honest. I could go on forever, but you have to eventually concede if it's the best you can do.
11. If you could re-visit and write in any shelved project, which one would it be and why?
I have this one novel idea I've been working on for so long that I just haven't understood how to write yet, so I shelved it. If I could figure out how to get the story out, I would 100% return to it. I really like the concept and it's a slightly dark litfic novel, so it's not out of my wheelhouse.

1. What's your favourite stage of the writing process?
I absolutely adore both developmental and line edits. The story really comes together for me and I feel closest to it at this stage.
2. What's your least favourite stage of the writing process?
This is going to sound weird, but drafting. It's not that I don't like it, I just prefer having a baseline to work off of, which is why I usually write quick 'zero drafts' to start with.
3. What would you say is your greatest strength as a writer?
I think I generally do pretty well at creating interesting conflicts and maintaining tension in a piece.
4. What would you say is your greatest weakness as a writer?
I worry that I use too much repetition and over-explain concepts, undercutting the intrigue of a story.
5. What have you learned about your writing in the last year?
A year and a half ago, a post-colonial lit class cracked open the magical realism genre for me. Since then, I've found my niche in writing. I really enjoy writing literary fiction with elements of magical realism, leaning often into gothic horror and fabulism. I also prefer to write short works rather than novels.
6. Is writing full time something you would like to do or is it more of just a side hobby?
Honestly, I don't know what career path to follow. I'd like to work in literature in some way, but writing fiction full-time may not be realistic or the best choice for me.
7. Would you ever write a semi-autobiographical book? If so, would you ever reveal that it is semi-autobiographical?
Essentially, this is the role poetry takes for me. It's not always based on a specific experience, but it's often true to my emotions, fears, desires, etc. I write in a confessional style, so it reveals itself. I have, however, feared people putting experiences on me that are not my own based on their readings of my poetry, so I think I would try to be quite clear where I could.
8. What's your 'I have to write in this otherwise everything is trash' font?
I have to write every major project in a different font. They all have their distinct voices and moods and personalities, so they have to be separate. A Mouthful of Cotton is written in Garamond and They Leave Your Bones Behind is written in Spectral. I also often use Georgia and Times New Roman.
9. Do you read books similar to your WIP for inspiration while drafting?
Yes, absolutely! I've been reading a lot of poetry while writing poetry and reading a lot of literary fiction and magical realism when I can lately.
10. How many people in your real life know that you're a writer?
Pretty much everyone. No one would be surprised if I locked myself away for a while to write. I don't talk about it a lot in my life though.
11. What's one of the best lines you've ever written?
Ooh, tough question. I don't think many stories I've written recently are quotable because they're pretty early drafts and older ones have drifted too far from my voice. Here are some:
"What point was there to a magic that only worked if you believed? In a God that did the same?
We were all already grieving. If healing worked like magic, it wasn't working at all."
- "Muñeca", They Leave Your Bones Behind
"The strung up bodies of so many women made a collective wailing; they moaned stretched cello notes in a minor key."
- "Flesh", They Leave Your Bones Behind
