I accidentally turned off my recording when I was working on Poruvoron’s style and my own style! So my speedpaint cuts off at the end! :( I think the hardest thing was drawing the different shapes of her chin. And the urge to not shade darker. You have such an interesting unique style, I love it!! Especially seeing anime characters in your style is super cute. Just curious, any particular artists you really admire/were inspired by?

waaaa thank you!!!! personally i tend to be more inspired by various artworks i come across than specific artists themselves, but a few of my fave artists that immediately come to mind are:

@queenoftheantz - their drawings are wonderfully loose and lively and appealing (which absolutely carries over into their animation my GOODNESS), i’ve been inspired by their art for years

@poruvoron - i ADORE their use of color and shapes, their work Pops and it’s so fun to look at

@slitherbop - i feel like there’s no other way i can describe their art than Explosive, they fill entire pages with their distinctly styled characters and abstract shapes and designs, not a single pixel goes uncolored and it looks soooooo cool every time

@zzipa - the colors!!! the energy!!!! the absolute power move that is straight up typing in comic sans on their work and ALSO they are so so funny, always a joy to see their work

@sakana-comic - EVERY time i reread sakana it makes me wanna draw more cartoony the art is SO incredible (definitely read sakana btw!! Top Tier Webcomic)

and then there are a couple particular anime studios- for example, kyoto animation is my main inspiration for hair like i am ALWAYS thinking of them when i draw hair, they know exactly how to make it fall perfectly no matter how detailed the style is and it always looks so NICE
