A Very Bad Day For Biden - 02/09/2024

Trump won the Nevada primary caucus over Ryan Binkley (I never heard of him) by getting 99.1%. As I mentioned a couple of days ago, Nikki Haley was on the primary ballot on the 6th, three days ago, Trump wasn't, and she lost to "None of these candidates." So, the caucus is a separate election in Nevada this year. I know it's confusing, two primary elections a few days apart in the same state. I don't understand it myself, but that's the way they set it up. Of course, that's not why Biden had a bad day. It's a Republican primary that doesn't really affect Joe Biden, and besides that Trump was expected to win that one by over 90%.

Biden had a very bad day yesterday because of the report that came out by special counsel Robert Hur. Here's the part of that report which hurt him: "At trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory." Biden "did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended ('if it was 2013 -- when did I stop being Vice President?'), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began ('in 2009, am I still Vice President?'). He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died." In spite of the overwhelming evidence of Biden's mishandling of classified materials that Bur had detailed in his report, it was never expected that he would be indicted for two reasons. One, you can't indict a sitting president. And two, the two-tiered system of justice this administration has corrupted into their institutions such as the DOJ and the FBI, whereby if you're on the conservative republican side of the aisle, you're toast; if you're on the left, you get a pass. Politically speaking, I don't think Biden can recover from this. I mean if he's not competent to stand trial, then he's not competent to be the most powerful person in the world, the commander and chief with nuclear codes; that is of course, POTUS (the President of the United States). Before this, I wasn't quite sure if Biden would drop out of the race, but now it seems impossible for him to make it to the finish line.

I had a dream last night where my mom was like "I miss when you beat people up as a teenager." Then when I said I didn't do that, my older sibling was like "wtf is wrong with your memory? You did it all the time!" I fully believed them for some reason, and was trying to figure out why I had no memory of beating people up.

Meanwhile, TommyInnit wanted to kill his girlfriend because he found her annoying. I'm pretty sure it was extremely small things that he was finding annoying too.

I’ve been using tumblr on my phone for quite a while now, and I recently went in to log on through my computer for the first time in a long time today. Tell me why I have a different tumblr account saved on my browser. I didn’t even remember that I had a second account!

I thought that this was my first tumblr, but apparently a while ago (and I have no idea how long) I was active on tumblr on a different account! This is particularly wierd, because I could have sworn I never touched tumblr up until this account. 

There are only a few posts on the account. I don’t really recognize them, but they seem consistent with what I would have been interested in at the time that the account was created. It was through an email that I only used actively during 5-7 grades.

Sometimes when I do things like this, it really makes me doubt my memories. I know I don’t have a great memory, but I still feel like I should have known about this? I mean, the posts aren’t familiar at all. It’s like someone else wrote them, but they definitely came from me because it was made through my email and it’s not like I shared that with anyone? Besides, who would use a middle schooler’s email to make a tumblr?

I guess it doesn’t matter in the end. It’s just weird that the account is so unfamiliar. Especially because the information was saved to my computer. I can’t believe that I’ve not gotten onto tumblr on my computer since Middle School.

Which now that I think about it, that is not right! I have absolutely gotten on here on my computer, but somehow completely bypassed a saved account? WTF. I literally have no explaination for ths.

so. i have this habit of delving into fandoms i've read or watched before so i end up getting a very biased view of canon and their characters as a result, instead of having formed my own views and going into fanfics knowing my own thoughts. as a result, i get the characters being portrayed in very different lights, which often makes me swing back and forth between which character i support.

that's not the point, honestly. it is not connected at all to what i want to say.

so i was trying to explain something to my sister, bless her patience with me. to do that i had to explain canon. honestly, all the problems in canon could have been solved if the characters sat down and talked. alas, they didn't so- i was tryna explain how miscommunication and, generally, a lack of communication was the root cause of canon's issues. i became so passionate about how much i hated the problems it caused i don't even remember what my initial point was.

the point is, this happens often. to explain my point, i need to delve into canon's plot. honestly, my sister has more patience than i do to listen to my frequent rants.
