Wreckers and human ice hockey

Ya know,, I really feel like the wreckers would get seriously into ice hockey,, just thinkin' about it while watchin some hockey right now There are a lot of physically aggressive human sports, but there's something about hockey specifically that feels almost clan-like. Flying around on steel blades with your brothers on the ice, slamming shoulders, brawling and spilling blood. All while coordinating as a tight-knit unit who know each other's strengths and shortcomings, and fighting together for a common goal. They feel like warriors in a way, looking at it from an outside perspective. Ya can't tell me Bulkhead and Wheeljack wouldn't be so down for that shit,, like a game where fights are culturally encouraged, shedding blood and losing some teeth are viewed as badass and respectable, it's fast and brutal, and a crowd of roaring fans are chanting and cheering for you and your team. Hockey becomes the weekend get-together spectacle for Team Prime's resident Wreckers. shhhh, just don't tell Ultra Magnus

Sunbeam has grown on me even more and i loved her chapters in Thunder. I'm satisfied with the direction they're going right now in the story and the characters. Sunbeam learning to break free from her mother's toxicity, finding herself in Thunderclan and making friends with the in-laws. Her and Finchlight are so sweet

What happens when a corrupt leader loses a life? Do they meet with their warrior ancestors, who know of all their sins, all the pain, blood and mayhem they've brought upon the living world, who use their name to justify their fanaticism? Or do they find themselves in the void, encased in soundless black, haunted by the faces they used to know? Cuestastar feels a presence, overwhelming and bleak as she sits in the endless dark. It's her. The one she's failed the most. - Cuestastar is one of my favorite wc ocs !! and probably one of my most developed ones even tho I haven't had her for long,, She's originally from a roleplay group called Cold-Bright-Lights that ended awhile back. Cinnamonkit was one of the first among HowlingClan, raised by the small but tight-knit group, having no other known kin to tend to her.  She was full of spirit and had a certain thirst for adventure that kept her dreaming of the day she would have her own grand stories to tell. But in the meantime, she was content listening to Mousestorm’s tales of his very long life before HowlingClan came to be, and the kit became very fond of the elder. Sunblossom and Palebreeze also took quite a liking to the spirited she-kit, but Sunblossom specifically had an interest in mentoring Cinnamonkit when she was apprenticed. Sunblossom was a promising deputy, and Tawnystar felt confident in her capability to train the future apprentice when the time arrived. But due to an incident unknown to Cinnamonpaw, she was instead apprenticed to Tawnystar himself. He encouraged her liveliness and instilled in her strong inner morals. But that didn’t always keep Cinnamonpaw from making impulsive decisions sometimes. When she became a warrior, she was honored for her daringness and spirit and named Cinnamonstreak. Cinnamonstreak remained close to Sunblossom, admiring the older warrior and always eager to lend an ear. The tension between Tawnystar and Sunblossom during her apprenticeship had always confused her; they were best friends, weren’t they? Sunblossom explained to her one day the truth that the rest of the clan were never told… Cinnamonstreak respected her mentor, but Sunblossom was like an older sister to her, so she sided with the deputy’s story, causing her to feel differently about Tawnystar.   What a mouse-brained reason why Sunblossom was never appointed as her mentor.

As time passed and HowlingClan flourished, Cinnamonstreak was thriving in her warriorship! She was always ready for excitement and adventure, and that sometimes led her away from clan territory. She met a tomcat once. Who? No cat knows yet. In fact, no one in HowlingClan even knew Cinnamonstreak was pregnant before her kits came. Her pregnancy was unexpected, and an anxious Cinnamonstreak decided not to tell her clan, even the medicine cats, too uncertain of what her future held. HowlingClan was considerably more open-minded than the other clans, allowing in outsiders and accepting half-blooded kits. But Cinnamonstreak couldn’t shake the sense of shame that clung to her, so she kept it all a secret, hoping for more time that fate had no intention of giving. In the middle of a leaf-bare night, Cinnamonstreak went into unexpected labor and was wrecked with terrible pain. She managed to drag herself to the center of camp before collapsing, her wails awakening the clan. The medicine cats rushed to assist the young queen through her premature birth, with the clan watching in shock and apprehension from afar. The birth was stressful, and the three tiny kits survived their early entry into the world. However, Cinamonstreak was exhausted from the endeavor and continued to bleed profusely, despite the medicine cats’ efforts to stem it and Palebreeze's urgent cries to hold on. She became very sleepy, and all she wanted to do was succumb to that feeling. Cinnamonstreak gazed with love at her three beautiful children tucked in her paws, and they were the last thing she saw before drifting asleep. Cinnamonstreak woke up in a world she did not recognize, but the glittering, starry figure of Mousestorm was there to guide her paws.

PALEBREEZE SENIOR WARRIOR ⊱ HOWLINGCLAN ⊰

As one of the founding members of HowlingClan, she especially feels the importance of protecting and taking care of the clan. She rarely uses her claws and teeth, preferring to take a peacekeeping approach with compassion and words. She’s always been more passive, her insecurities keeping her from approaching situations with assertiveness or typical Warrior-aggression.  When HowlingClan was young, she served among the warrior ranks, but now that clan has grown in numbers and strength, Palebreeze feels herself drawing further away from the lifestyle of a warrior. Perhaps one day, she’ll join Duskskip as a fellow Mediator and tend to the disputes of their clan. And with so many new kits in the nursery, some orphaned, her motherly touch might be what HowlingClan needs right now.

Palebreeze is a prominent figure among HowlingClan, well-liked and loved by many, especially by Beambark, one of her oldest friends. Beambark always let her voice her thoughts without fear of judgment, and it was no surprise when Palebreeze realized her romantic feelings for the moody medicine cat. However, she refrained from letting her love known, fearing rejection from the medicine cat who held tight to her loyalty to The Code of Old While on a lone patrol to collect her thoughts, Palebreeze came across the Thunderpath that divided HowlingClan and the TwolegPlace and found a collapsed she-cat with an awful injury. Palebreeze trudged the she-cat back to camp, where she did, in fact, make a full recovery.  The stranger introduced herself to HowlingClan as a kittypet who left her home behind to pursue life among the clans after being guided by StarClan. Her supposed strong connection to their warrior ancestors was questionable, and the clan was suspicious when the kittypet told them she even received her name, “Pansyskitter” from Starclan themselves. Palebreeze liked the strange she-cat, however, and the two grew into quite great friends, Pansyskitter always making time for the warrior between her new medicine cat duties.  She wondered if this silly, cheerful she-cat was sent into her life for something more, and Palebreeze tried to entertain the idea of a life together. But she never felt the same festering love as she did for Beambark, and even though a future with her seemed like an unreachable dream, Palebreeze’s heart never wavered, and neither did her hopes. And then, one day, she was approached by an unusually emotional Beambark, and was shocked and overjoyed when the medicine cat finally confessed her own love for Palebreeze.  With tears in her eyes, Palebreeze laughed. "It's about time! I was waiting for you to get the nerve to finally ask me out." 

- I can't see her having biological kits. But she's always there for every new kit in the clan, and maybe one day, fate will bless her with a kit to adopt as her own <3

-She'll probably become a mediator soon, now that HowlingClan has so many able warriors now. And she'll be in favor of Beambark's views too, sooo that'll be interesting ..

BEAMBARK HEAD MEDICINE-CAT ⊱ HOWLINGCLAN ⊰

Howlingclan has been Beambark's home since the dawning of the clan itself, and she's proud to be among their ranks as their dutiful Head-Medicine-Cat. She's the backbone of the clan and lives to see them prosper. She's never gotten along with its leader, Tawnystar, however, dismissive and critical of his choices. Their relationship has only worsened as the seasons have passed, and Beambark fosters a hatred for the HowlingClan leader. Having a close allyship with the senior warriors, she knows she'll have their support if Tawnystar's leadership ever needs to be reevaluated... But she hopes that day will never come, for the sake of the clan.

Beambark has always been faithful to The Code of Old, and doesn't believe that Medicine Cats should ever take mates and have kits of their own. Their focus should be solely set on their clan. However, no amount of personal belief could keep her feelings for warrior Palebreeze from budding and blossoming to a staggering degree. The two have been close companions all their lives and Beambark's most trust ally, but she refused to explore her own feelings with Palebreeze, and hoped the she-cat would take on a mate of her own. It would easier to move on that way... But as the seasons carried on, Beambark and Palebreeze have only gravitated closer in their age, and finally it seemed Beambark could no longer contain her terrible secret. She confessed to Palebreeze of the love she's harbored for her since they were in their prime all those moons ago. Palebreeze laughed. "It's about time! I was waiting for you to get the nerve to finally ask me out."

Having kits of her own had never been an enticing fantasy for the medicine cat, regardless of her feelings on The Code of Old. However, one fateful day while Beambark was looking for herbs near the wetlands, she discovered a young kit as quiet and still as the water he sat by, seemingly abandoned. The radiant sun peaking over the treetops shone through the early morning rain shower, spreading a sheen of beautiful colors, and the kit's eyes sparkled. Beambark could never abandon a helpless kit, and so she guided him back to the HowlingClan camp where he would be cared for. But there was just something about the kit that felt very special to the senior medicine cat... To the surprise of her clanmates, Beambark announced her guardianship over the little kit, and gave him the name Rainbowkit.

- Her name was auto-generated and I never changed it, even though I'm not sure what 'Beam' might represent for her. Maybe her eyes. But 'Bark' is very fitting for this grouchy lady

- Wears red petals in her thick pelt - Cuts in her ear cause she's definitely been in fights - Bringing up Rainbowkit to be her apprentice.

I def will be drawing Palebreeze and Rainbowkit, but I got 29 cats with stories I'm way to invested in, so I'll get there eventually ,,

my advice to the writers out there

I'm writing this instead of my book right now,, cause intrusive thoughts

I’m someone who likes to look around for writing advice to get new perspectives and helpful tips and ideas from other writers.  But sometimes I’d hunt around for validation from videos to see if I was “doing things right” with my own book, and I can’t tell ya how damaging that’s been for me in the past on my writing journey.

While taking advice and constructive criticism is good and progressive and can help you see things from another perspective to better your writing, I also can’t stress enough to take things with a grain of salt when it comes to other people's opinions on genres and tropes.

Has someone else written something like my story before? Probably yeah. 

Are there tropes in my story that have already been in other books/other media? Oh yeah, I don't doubt it.

Are some people tired of seeing certain themes and settings in stories? Sure. Everyone is into different things. 

Does that mean my story shouldn’t be written at all, and I should just write something else instead? Hell fuckin no, yo !

I love my story because I’m telling it the way I WANT in my own style, my own characters, and with my own messages that I want to tell. Putting your heart and soul into your writing is a real thing ya’ll, and that will stand out. 

I love high fantasy stories with medieval themes, magic, fantastical worldbuilding, great adventures, and grand quests with a party of characters I can love and relate to.  I love wizards, elves, fairies, demons, and all the things you imagine when you hear “classic fantasy.”  That genre has always inspired me and brought out the most creative side of me. 

So when some people say, “Don’t write that,” or “Don’t write this,” because it’s been touched upon before and nobody wants to read that anymore, it would bum the hell outta me. 

So should I NOT write my own story and share it because a part of it fits into a familiar trope within the genre? Does that mean my story shouldn’t ever be read and that it’s inherently not good?

If you have a story to tell, and you wanna tell it, then write it! It’s your book, it’s your story, it’s your characters, and you’re allowed to enjoy what you’ve created. 

Take constructive criticism, be flexible, and be open to learning and changing, like you would with any other skill. I wouldn’t be where I’m at in my writing capability today if I had never listened to advice and practiced over and over again.

But don’t let anyone take away your creativity!

Changing the whole theme of your story because it may not appeal to some readers or publishers is the most ridiculous, damaging thing I’ve heard. There will always be people who won’t wanna read what you’ve written, or publishers who aren't interested, and that’s okay. That’s to be expected with anything creative.  But if you like something, write it, and don’t let others say you shouldn’t. It’s damn near impossible to be 100% original in every aspect of your story and avoid every single used trope, if that’s even possible to do anymore these days. Trying to be perfect will drive you insane.

Personally, the more you try to “change this” and “change that” in order to check off your originality boxes, the less happy you’ll be with your work. That's been my experience, at least. I went through a lotta versions of my book to fit what writers in their videos were telling me it should be in order to be accepted and appreciated, and I wasn’t happy with any of it and felt really stuck.

Try and find the right kinds of videos and communities that’ll inspire you, encourage you, and help ya in places where you’re falling short.  Some channels can really suck out all of your creativity and make you second-guess everything you’ve created, wondering if your story will ever be good enough.

A setting where a character or a group has to go on an adventure to fulfill a certain goal is something I really like, and to be told that specific trope is dull and overdone was discouraging on a whole other level. Why should I write this if nobody even wants to read it?

I’ve had to stop watching channels in the past because this idea was preached so much and I believed it, and it was depressing reading comments who felt the same as me.

“I gotta rewrite my whole story now.” “Oh no, my story is like this!” “Guess I shouldn’t write about that in my story.” 

Please don’t give up on your stories because of personal opinions on a genre or a trope! We all have opinions, likes, dislikes, and prefer different things. Nothing is set in stone. 

For me, a story is about the journey and what the characters go through and how they make me feel. If you wanna write a vampire love story with witches and werewolves and a love triangle, go for it! If you wanna write a story about a school for magical creatures in a fantasy world, go for it!

Make a story YOURS and don’t be afraid to tell it! Someone out there will love what you’ve made and it’ll inspire them just like you were inspired. Write for YOU and for all those people who love what you love and will wanna read the fuck outta your book!

demisexuality can be so hard to explain because it’s misconstrued as you just wanting to trust the other person before you have sex with them. and I get why the misconception happens. But demisexuality differs in that there isn’t sexual attraction at all before that bond forms.

I think what people have difficulty with is the idea that there are people out there who aren’t experiencing sexual attraction at all until a certain point, if ever, because we’re taught that sex, libido, and sexual attraction are all the same, both in and out of queer spaces.

And when you’re learning about asexuality and demisexuality, you may learn that people have romantic and aesthetic attraction separately from sexual attraction, and that sexual and romantic attraction aren’t necessarily intertwined, and that may challenge your worldview on sex.

But “I trust you enough to have sex with you” isn’t the same as “I’m not sexually attracted to anyone but you, and the reason I’m sexually attracted to you now after we’ve established this close bond is literally because of the bond of trust we’ve been able to form”.

It’s easy to see how those can get conflated. On the surface, if you’re unfamiliar with asexuality, they may sound the same. But it’s important to acknowledge the difference between “no sex until I trust you” and “no sexual attraction unless I trust you and maybe not even then”.

Demisexuality is housed under the asexuality spectrum. It’s part of the gray area between being allosexual and asexual. It’s part of why the definition for asexuality includes “little to no sexual attraction”. It’s a mostly asexual experience with an asterisk.

While being demisexual may have impacts on a persons sexual activity, even demisexuals have a varied relationship to the act of participating in sex. Libido and sexual attraction are not always intertwined either, which can make telling the difference tricky.

I think of sexual attraction as libido that has a compass. Since I rarely ever experience sexual attraction, but do have libido, it’s noticeable for me when that libido actually has a direction to go, rather than being a floating, nebulous, independent thing.

Remember, not everyone is demisexual. There’s a difference between waiting to have sex and not having sexual attraction at all until a certain point. This also inherently ties demisexuality to romantic attraction and relationships, and not all demisexuals are alloromantic.

But if you read what demisexuality is and think “everyone is like that” or “that’s just being a woman”, you either 1) are demisexual 2) don’t understand what it is or 3) both. And it’s okay to not know. Just as long as you’re willing to try to learn.
