((OOC PSA Re: Villain Blogs))

((I've been seeing some more villain/antagonistic-leaning blogs pop up in the Pokemon IRL community lately, and personally I love it. No one loves anything more than a villain to hate, right? However, there's been some backlash towards some of these guys--harrassment, even death threats in some cases--so this is my little reminder to the community-))

((The villains are FICTIONAL CHARACTERS being written by REAL PEOPLE LIKE YOU. PLEASE RESPECT THESE PEOPLE.))

((Writing villains is hard BECAUSE these people know they are creating and playing sentient hate sinks, but said hate sink DOES NOT demonstrate their own ideals. Sending hate mail to people who are trying their best to be the worst, for YOUR FUN as well as theirs, is not only incredibly discouraging but also incredibly terrible for people's mental health.))

((After all, imagine how hurt you would feel if you received death threats just for having fun with the character you're playing now.))

AITA for trying to improve the world?

so recently, i joined an environmental group. i'm not at liberty to mention it by name, but it's one that's going to save the world by creating more land to build and develop on. real human-centric, right? plus all the pokemon who live on land will have more land to develop on.

well. one day my friend of over a decade came up to me furious. turns out SHE also joined an environmental group...but this one's trying to improve life by converting landmass to sea! how ridiculous! even if it gives more place for water pokemon to live, it'll be a disaster for any other type! i tried to tell her how she's a fool, only for her to pull out some statistics about global warming and decreasing landmass.

i just don't get how she could think that's possibly a good idea! but she keeps calling me a landlubber and a scalawag. i don't even know what those mean! is she right? she's not, right? i'm not the asshole for trying to improve the world, right?

Guide to the acronyms

I like this art a lot because it expresses how I’m feeling. I used to look at the past evolutions of me with a lot of disdain. I never afforded them the proper respect they deserved for the trauma, tribulations, and challenges they overcame and the accomplishments they achieved. My past selves, my past evolutions, got me to where I am today. I am so proud of them for all they did, went through, and got through. They messed up, quite a lot, but through it all I’ve evolved.

In high school I was a Charmander. Even in my first evolution I was able to help people and prop them up. But i needed to learn about myself more, learn from my past experiences, and apply their teachings. Through a lot of experience I made progress on these points of weakness and I evolved into a Charmeleon. During my time in college I was able to apply my teachings to the work I did. I helped so many through the acts of service and healing I accomplished through my work with people from the same disadvantaged communities as me. I am so proud of myself for that. But i still had so much to learn about myself, my past experiences, and how to apply those experiences to every aspect of my life. If I stayed the course I was on I’d get to level 36 to evolve to Charizard eventually. But to get there in any reasonable amount of time I needed help. The help god sent me was an autism diagnosis, therapy, and my loved ones. With that support I’m finally evolving into Charizard. Everyday I become more and more like the person god made me to become. Will I ever fully reach and actualize becoming exactly like the person god wants me to be? I used to think this was impossible, but through god all things are possible. Everyday I take steps that bring me closer to reaching this goal.

Three things about my journey so far fill me with the upmost joy. First, I finally resemble the person god made me to become. Second, the people closest in my life are noticing that and can feel my positive energy. Third, my past evolutions are still within me, healing me and cheering me on. Through god’s help and my acceptance of it in all its forms, particularly the people in my life, all my dreams and goals are possible. Follow where god is leading your heart, body, mind, spirit, and soul to. I love you.

Yes, hello! Champion Lance, at your service! I was part of the Elite Four a few years ago, but I suppose everywhere is different.

That's... more than a little concerning, to say the least. Team Rocket is an evil organization run by Giovanni—who actually might still be a gym leader where you are—so please watch out for him. I would also request that you only battle Rockets if they approach you first, and battling is a must to escape. It is 100% not your responsibility to deal with them, and if possible, I would contact the League about any leads you find.

hello kiddos! So sorry for not posting or being active lately. Life at the Pokémon league and just in general has been busy. Clodsire and the rest of the team definitely keep me on my toes on the daily.

When I died and came back to life again, Gengar was st-standing over me...I'm sure it guided me from the afterlife through it's Gigantamax'ed mouth and into life again...we became good friends after that! I guess, that's pretty odd, eh?

If I was a gym leader I'd be the very very first one because more than anything I love goofing off with kids and if I could be a child's introduction to the pokemon champion challenge I think that'd be more fulfilling than becoming champion myself. Actually, child or not, if beating me is what kick-starts your journey, then I'd want nothing more than to cheer you on from the very start. Hehe

((While I don't have an issue with pokemon irl rp blogs, I do take issue with the fact that their posts are filling up the pkmn rp tag, which I use to try and find others within the rpc.

Traditionally, the pkmn rp tag was used for promo posts for rp blogs, and those posts only (with some exceptions.) It's just frustrating trying to find promo posts for blogs within the rpc, only to find a bunch of rp's clogging up the tag.

As for the blogs themselves: I have no problem with y'all; I prefer to stick to rp blogs since the pokemon irl blogs seem to have their own thing and circle going. Plus, I prefer to be a narrative rp blog rather than an IC irl blog, if that makes sense.))
