this is such a niche complaint but there's something SO dark about the way tiktok/youtube shorts/instagram reels have taught some of these newbie sewers how to sew. and it's even more insidious because then these newbie sewers will ask for money for their creations which is fair but... they were taught to sew in such a SHIT way that it's basically fast fashion level of craft.

there's no lining. they aren't taught to press their fucking seams or the uses of different seams. no french seams on lace and mesh because they didn't learn how to do a french seam. buttons done by fuckin machine instead of hanking their fuckin buttons so they fall off faster. they aren't shown how to properly make a handle. accessories are hot glued on to a DAILY USE ITEM instead of sewn on so they'll fall off in a fuckin week (there is a use for hot glue in items that aren't used daily, but on a fuckin TOTE BAG???). mismatched fabric patterns with no explanation on how to match the pattern because "well [fast fashion brand] does it so it's fine". sloppy work that is rushed out and have the AUDACITY to be like "that'll be 50 dollars please".

these baby sewers are being set up to fuckin fail. people are not buying your shit because it is fast fashion level quailty and you are asking for designer prices. take some fuckin pride in your goddamn work and improve your craft. i promise you, people will pay more if you actually put in the work. but if your work is fast fashion quality, you will only ever get offered fast fashion quality prices.
