USA: Abtreibungsverbot durch Supreme Court zu erwarten

Suche nach Abtreibungspille führt(e) zu Mordanklage

Sollte der Supreme Court in diesem Monat mit einem Grundsatzurteil das Urteil "Roe vs Wade" von 1972 aufheben, würden in einer großen Anzahl von Bundesstaaten automatisch nach lokalen Gesetzen Abtreibungen strafbar werden und weitere Bundesstaaten planen entsprechende Verbote.

Nun wurde (erstmals) ein Urteilsentwurf des Supreme Court geleakt, der auf 98 Seiten begründet, warum das Urteil von 1972 und seine Bestätigung im Urteil „Planned Parenthood v. Casey“ von 1992 aufgehoben werden sollen. Eine derartige Entscheidung wurde nach der Abweisung von Klagen gegen das radikale Abtreibungsverbot vom letzten September in Texas auch befürchtet.

Neben vielen zivilgesellschaftlichen und feministischen Organisationen in den USA hat sich jetzt auch unser Ehrenmitglied Edward Snowden zu dem geleakten Urteilsentwurf des Supreme Court zu Wort gemeldet. Snowden twittert: „Die Unterdrückung einer solch essenziellen Freiheit kann eine Zeit lang wirksam sein, aber sie kann nicht legitim sein.“

Sämtliche KritikerInnen weisen auf die Gefahren durch Datensammlungen von Smartphones und Laptops für die betroffenen Frauen hin. Diese Gefahren führen dazu, dass Frauen die Möglichkeit genommen wird sich vor oder bei Beginn einer Schwangerschaft überhaupt über Schwangerschaftsbbrüche zu informieren.

Diese Daten umfassen nicht nur die direkte Suche  nach entsprechenden Begriffen, insbesondere mobile Geräte registrieren auch die Bewegungsprofile ihrer Besitzerinnen. Damit lassen sich Wege zu Kliniken, eventuell sogar über die Grenzen von Bundesstaaten hinweg einfach verfolgen. Viele Apps sammeln diese Daten und verkaufen sie an Interessenten weiter.
