By the way, @staff is changing the video player and photo viewer on the mobile app to the one from Tumblr TV. As a result, they have made the abhorrent decision to remove an important accessibility feature in order to TikTok-ifying Tumblr. You can no longer zoom in on photos. Or so I thought. Because the visually impaired are now second-class users to the Tumblr Staff, they just decided to make it harder to zoom in on photos.

So, for all of you who, like me, find the pinch-to-zoom feature on Tumblr invaluable to read and view photos, you now have to:

Tap the Photo > Tap the “more” button in the description > tap the photo again

This will open the old photo viewer (for now, anyway) which was formerly one tap away. It will grant you all the former features of the old photo viewer, including the ability to zoom in.

EDIT: if you’re seeing this on your For You Dash or some other non-reblogged method you will see this edit. Before reblogging and commenting on this, there is addition information in the replies. I have replies disabled, so I am the only person who can add them. I’ve added addition info, as well as an update. Please read them. TLDR: many others, and myself, are now seeing it’s fixed. Many others are not. It may be a roll-out fix from the back-end. Be patient and wait to see if it’ll make its way to you.

Oughh-- NOW I need to know more abt that camboy Floyd 👀👀 I feel like people would love his energy and his moodiness would make a good element of surprise. I dunno if he hides his face or not, but if he does, there are probably times that he just accidentally shows his face and just roll with it. Also, do you think he and Jade at some point do streams together? Like making those threesome fantasies for their fans out there?

He's really good at what he does. You're so right!! Everyone loves his energy, his lack of a filter, his willingness to try everything at least once, the way he's so himself without the need for a complicated act. There's a unique intimacy to his streams. Maybe it's because sometimes he's too lazy or bored to bother with a full show, so he just sits back and strokes himself mindlessly while making empty conversation with the viewers. They eat it up. <3

Floyd doesn't stick to a schedule. In fact, it's a miracle if he even remembers to stream once a week. ^^;;; sometimes he just doesn't show up. He's a little careless like that, as his streams are usually mood dependent, but when he does start a stream you can be sure everyone's piling in, desperate to watch him in all of his glory. He has such a filthy mouth on him, too. Dirty talk is second nature to Floyd, carried out so perfunctory you'd think he lives and breathes sex (which is sort of true... ;;;). You don't know it, but most of these streams are done because they're fun and interesting but also so he can get rid of the pent-up frustrations he has. He's so in love with you, but you want nothing to do with him and that drives him crazy. He doesn't give up, of course. Persistence is his middle name, or at least it should be with how determined he is to, at the very least, get your number.

I like to imagine Floyd and Jade kidnap the cute, shy darling from their uni and they fuck you on stream. Threesome with twins gets so much views, but neither of them really cares much for viewer count or the amount of money they'll no doubt make. They're just having fun spit-roasting you in front of the camera hehe. >:)

just wanted to let you know that I had the weird image and video displaying update show up early yesterday but it seems to have now reverted itself (on both my android phone and my iPad). on my iPad I had to close the app and reopen it to see it revert to the normal way of displaying images and videos. I have also noticed an update has been pushed on both app stores since yesterday and I have turned off the auto updates just in case but I was hoping this info might help some people. (android version I'm on is 28.0.0.112 and iOS version is 28.0 btw)

It appears to be fixed for me, as well. I’m no longer seeing it, and now get the old-style player. I don’t think I updated my app in the last few hours, so they must’ve fixed or disabled it from the back-end. Other people in the notes of the OG post are saying it’s fixed for them, while others are saying they still can’t zoom, so it might be a roll-out fix. I’m not sure. We’ll have to see if @changes or @wip mentions anything. If not, I implore @staff to give us some more transparency on the issue. Even a “we messed up” would make people happier than silence.

I have replies (mostly) disabled on this blog, so I’ve been adding additional info in the replies of that post, since I’m the only one who can add them. I’ve added an update telling everyone that I, and other users, are no longer experiencing it, and it should be fixed (for now.) I might disable reblogs, too, if the post doesn’t stop gaining so many notes.
