my question is (and I'm not well versed in the workings of thermal cameras bc unfortunately that seems to be one equipment that rarely makes the cut on a paranormal investigation): would birds (or animals in general) show up as a cold signature or would it be a heat one? could humans ever show up as a cold signature on that thing?

because to be fair, on the second part of the video, where they go sleep alone at different spots (which, by the way, is also something I love - the four [or more depending on the guests] of them always split up and each go sleep on a different building/place for 4 hours and usually that's when they get the most activity happening, but I digress) they do find out that most likely someone was living there. they had no flashlights on them (very common dare/challenge on their channel from what I'm getting) but Dakota heard very human noises coming from the floor above his so he walkie talkied his fellow mates and they all came running to keep him company and do a sweep on the building (very dumb decision if you ask me). so yeah, I'm wondering if a human being could show up as a cold signature, though I believe it would've been an adult person living there and not a kid, which seems more compatible with the size of that shadow? thing? bird? signature.

That's actually a good point - I don't think humans can show up cold, but can birds? I don't know. 🤔

I don't know! That one is pretty ambiguous. It could be something else, but I don't really know for sure what. That's always the interesting stuff - the ones where you just aren't sure.

i'm also surprised that this is only coming up now, given my brand.

i believe it will shock everyone to know that i ship them (joke).

1. What made you ship it?

so this may (actually) surprise some people, but it wasn't really until short rest 99 that i considered it at all. on my first listen, i thought of them as unabashed besties, unfaltering. "how long do half-elves live?" hurt, but didn't have a huge impact. but emily talking about how she meant it and jake talking about his opinion on it locked it in for me. and then i sort of saw everything through a different lens.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

is everything a viable answer? they're the very best of friends. hardwon literally found a home, the thing he'd been searching for, in meeting moonshine. moonshine found the first person to ever have the same capacity to love as she did, in meeting hardwon. they're ride or die. they're each other's biggest fans. the first thing hardwon tells new people about her is that she edged a tree by making out. they'd kill and die for each other. hardwon literally tries to do the impossible any time she's in danger. there's nothing about them i don't love. this feels like it barely scratched the surface lmao

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on the ship?

so this is one i actually do feel will be unpopular. in a lot of ways, it does feel like they would never have a conventional romantic relationship. it's simply not them. however (and i wrote a fic based on this idea so my opinion of it is kind of based on that) i think that in some way, later in their lives and after having been apart for so long, marriage is on the table for them. not in a conventional way by any means - especially given how it does and does not work at the crick - but because moonshine wants others in the future to be able to understand what hardwon meant to her after he's gone. and no, "husband" won't scratch the surface of that meaning. but it will get people closer to the truth

sorry, I have a lot of thoughts lmao. I think that I find it really frustrating that deep down, despite assurances to the contrary, people DO think that Family must come before everything else and if you don't secretly Love Your Family above all else, then you must be defective or broken or hiding it. And I see it so much with this fandom. Like do I think Sirius loved Regulus? Yeah. Do I think he was closer to James and the people he chose to be his family rather than the people he was blood related to and there's nothing wrong with that, particularly when they were all massive bigots in canon? Also yeah. People act like Sirius Has to Love Regulus Because He is His Brother (and he can't be closer to James because blood!! they're blood related!!! you can choose to not be close to your parents but not your bruddah!!!! found families mean just as much as blood families except wait no they don't because if I had a strained relationship with my sister I would be sad. :( idk it's just weird and not enough people in here critically examine whether or not this insistence is harmful.

oh and context for that project fear (which I like to call paranormal fear because in my head it sounds cooler but I digress) video: dakota was outside of the building with the equipment to both see if he could capture any intruders and also bc the previous time they were there, they also captured a similar signature, but I believe that time was a heat instead of cold one. and the other three (Chelsea, Alex and tanner - I got all their names already!) were on the 4th floor doing spirit box and three of the things that came through were what seemed to be a little girl's voice, "two minutes" and "downstairs" and then a bit after that - boom, the cold signature. so it's either a very fitting and interesting coincidence or Dakota did catch something paranormal. just thought it'd be fun to share!

on that note - I'm really liking them so far and I have to say that if they do fake evidence, they do it in such a smooth and entertaining way, in a way that is so fitting and nothing exaggerated that it makes you hooked and interested. I'm thoroughly enjoying their videos so far. they have a very well balanced amount of completely loud and chaotic energy, cool and controlled reactions, over the top reactions, logical and non-logical investigations (the type where we sometimes go "where tf did they get that one from"), nice editing and a nice pace. i can definitely see they come from a tv show because the whole format, albeit longer, is for sure tv-like.

tl;dr: they know what they're doing.

And yea, I rewatched that like 3 times, and that one, I'm not sure on. I guess it could be another bird, but I think it would have to be a HUGE fucking pterodactyl or something to manifest like that, so...idk. That one might be something.

I actually really like the thermal camera (to the anon who asked me about my favorite equipment the other day - add this to the list!!). It's kind of hard to manipulate shit on that thing, which I appreciate.

They definitely know what they are doing! Their TV show background really comes across in their videos. While I feel like that might hinder them a little in the youtube world, sadly (much like when snc tried that style with Cerro Gordo and 25x25), I personally appreciate the professionalism.

Is there any f4f yandere blogs you would recommend?

I'll be honest I just checked through my entire following list and found absolutely nothing 💔 whenever I'm looking for a female yandere the only thing that I seem to find on tumblr is marvel/fandom fics. I havent found a blog dedicated to female yanderes but I have found a few stories on here, and usually reblog them. @youryanderedaddy has written a pretty good female yandere right here 😭!!!

you might have better luck on wattpad, since the hellhole actually has quite a few gxg stories. If anyone knows any other blogs feel free to add em

omg thank you anon this is such a big compliment !!!!!! I won't lie it was kind of an afterthought all things considered... I just had no clue if anyone would listen to it, but I have this huge playlist of [albums that fit the ghlr universe vibe] to listen to while I write, and I wanted to have a nice tidy one that encapsulated the vibe of the fic in particular. so I'm really happy you fw it !!

I privated it for a while and was even considering deleting it but now this makes me want to add a few more songs from my big playlist to the official one... hmmm

ghlr was inspired by music in the first place though (a very weird selection. chess the musical, early muse/gorillaz albums, pink floyd's animals, riot grrrl) and ultimately Amelia's story centers on music. I mean she is literally a professional musician in her own sick twisted way lol... and ofc there'll be a lot more music talk as it goes on and new characters show up :smirk emoji: but yeah. music has always been sooo central to my writing and I'm super happy to talk more about it
