Silly Peyton Riley Superhero Girls concept under cut:

Peyton's seen as a really pretty girl and keeps getting asked out, but she says she has a boyfriend already, referring to someone named 'Al'. She won't show any pictures of him, he doesn't have a phone, and he goes to a school somewhere else, but he's sooo cool and protective and handsome.

Zatanna's dad mentions that a special, possibly cursed puppet had been stolen from a colleague, and Zatanna tries to look into it and a rash of thefts plaguing the school. Everything kinda slides into place over the course of the story and it turns out Peyton stole Scarface, AKA "Al", from a magic shop because she thought he was cute. She was originally just using him as an excuse to turn down all the boys at school that keep trying to ask her out, but now she's convinced herself that Scarface not only loves her too, but wants her to steal valuable jewelry and watches and the lot from her fellow students for him.

Riley & Maya are kinda bad for each other

I hate this whole good influence / bad influence thing Riley and Maya got going on, which sucks for me because that’s basically the whole show. 

It has just always felt like the two had this weird toxic view of each other. Maya idolizing Riley(’s life) and never disagreeing with her, never acknowledging the areas in which she might be lacking and also shielding her from the real world which prevents her growth. And then Riley only seeing Maya as this bad girl and not letting her grow out of that persona in season 3 with that terrible “you turned into me” arc. 

It’s just really weird and such a missed opportunity for a show which tagline is “people change people” to have their two main characters prevent each other from actually growing up

Growing up is understanding that Lucas Friar was toxic as fuck

they’ve only been standing outside for about five minutes, but already riley can see the way her fingers have started turning purple. “i told you to wear something warmer.” how she thought her current outfit would keep her warm at a bonfire on the beach is beyond him. “here, give me your hands.” he doesn’t wait for an answer, though, taking her hands between his palms so he can lift them to his lips and exhale warm air onto them.

P.S. one of the reasons I love Peyton Manning and his lovely wife Ashley with my whole heart is that they give millions of dollars of their own personal money to Riley Children's Hospital. No one forces them to do that. They do it sheerly out of goodness. I hope they never disappoint me a la Brett Favre. I have a lot of issues with American Evangelical Christianity but I think Peyton and Ashley Manning might be doing a good job of it?
