So I've been brainstorming a Scarebeast design

Scarebeast is not canon in the current timeline of my AU (probably), but hey, it's fun to design and hypothesize about. Who knows maybe it's real in a different timeline!

When designing my own Screast, I wanted to steer away from the more big hulking monster of some other designs, namely As The Crow Flies, where Screast comes from. To me, those just aren't scary! Sure, maybe for the characters in the story it's piss your pants terrifying to have a giant monster trying to kill you, but meh. Scarecrow has always been more of a psychological threat than a physical one in my mind, and so the Screast should be as well

So I went with a design that looked like something that would stalk you from a distance in the woods. A guy that can scrap and slash and bite if need be, but most of the fear that comes from an interaction with it is from how unsettling it and it's behavior is. It has base human elements, but there are very noticeable aspects in it's appearance and mannerisms that set off alarms in the brain. Because I think the scariest part is wondering how someone became this

I was inspired by a lot of Trevor Henderson as well as movie monsters, like the Jötunn from The Ritual or the bear from Annihilation. Even some old folklore monsters, like vampires and werewolves! All of those beasts that get people scared

there's a kind of person called a "bad person" and if we just kill all of those guys everything will be great

She might be crazy now but the mom instincts don't go away (unless you're her actual daughter)

Because Stirk is super underdeveloped socially and mentally from living on his own for so long (think those kids who get raised by wolves or neglected for years, that kind of thing), he tends to act more like a dog than a person most times. And like a dog, he latched on SUPER hard to the first person that (sort of) cared for him. At the very least, Joker gave him something to do, people to be around, and things to eat. In his mind that's all you need to practically be God

J obviously exploits this. An almost unstoppable over 6 foot attack dog he can boss around? Sign him UP

But in some ways she's got a soft spot for him - not as much as she does Harley, but he's a close second

random question, what batman media have you consumed so far? just wanna know what characters youd be familiar with

So far it's a lot of Batman:TAS (Slowly but surely getting through it! I've been privy to season one and a good bit of season two? Haven't gotten to third!) Some of the batman and robin adventures comics/gotham adventures comics as well!

I've read long halloween, killing joke and I've also read something of the new 52 but I cannot remember exactly what <.<

So who becomes the next person to don the identity of The Spoiler in your AU?

Nobody! While Steph is like a fusion of The Spoiler and Oracle in my AU, she still gets to keep the Spoiler title. She came up with that name its hersies !!

Also, after his gals, Bats doesn't adopt anymore sidekicks. The guilt of putting Steph in so much danger she got permanently disabled and Red still being a murderer dissuades him from screwing up more people by dragging them into this lifestyle

What is Jon's relationship with crows? Does he have one or multiple?

Jon isn't the biggest fan of most animals (as depicted in that shitpost-y Jervis & Jon thing awhile back). He just doesn't really care about them like other people do, and finds them more of a nuisance than anything else

THAT BEING SAID. Crows are the ONLY animal that Jon actually likes. Partly because they helped torment his grandmother way back when he was a kid, partly because of the spook factor, and partly because they're so smart

I wouldn't say Jon really keeps any as pets, though. He appreciates the independence of the wild crow, so much like the hundreds of stray alley cats in Gotham he lets them do their own thing for the most part. If they wanna fly in and hang out, then he'll take care of them or teach them how to do tricks. Ofc he's also trained them to bring him things across the city. Jon tends to be surrounded by at least one or two crows whenever he's outside because of how much he feeds them (and they know him even when he's in costume, so there's some added spook)

Basically he's like Selina and her cats except with crows. The crowman if you will

Serious answer, he becomes entirely nocturnal. At first, he'd sleep from sunrise to sundown, but the longer he's in this form the more lethargic he gets. So he spends more and more time sleeping as time goes on.
