You know what? Now that I think about it, it's a really good thing we didn't see Mummy getting really really really pissed off, not just because of the hidden powers he could have as an undead monster, but because it is very well know that when a peruvian gets really angry, HELL WILL FOLLOW CLOSE

Pre-Incan Site for Ancestor Worship Found in Peru
A team of Peruvian and Japanese archaeologists has unearthed a pre-Hispanic archaeological site in northern Peru dedicated to ancestor worship, with burial chambers, human remains and ceramic offerings.
"We have discovered an archaeological site of the Wari period with an antiquity of between 800 to 1000 years AD" in the Cajamarca region 900 kilometers (560 miles) north of Lima, Japanese archaeologist Shinya Watanabe told AFP on Saturday.
"Two burial chambers with pits for placing mummies and offerings to the ancestors were found at the site," the expert said.
Each of the burial chambers contains two levels, and both have five niches in the walls that contain offerings such as mollusk shells, ceramic fragments and a tripod dish with three conical supports.
"It is a great find because the archaeologists were looking for evidence of the Wari culture," said Watanabe, who is a professor at Nanzan University in Japan.
A bundle containing a female character, a black Wari ceremonial vessel, two musical ceramic wind instruments, and two copper fasteners were also found.
The discovery occurred in the Jequetepeque valley in the province of San Miguel in Cajamarca, a region that abuts Ecuador.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Many people of multiple origins lived here. It was a ceremonial center dedicated to the cult of the ancestors," Watanabe said.
Judith Padilla, head of Cajamarca's culture office, said the findings allow for an understanding of "the lifestyle and ritual practices" of the ancient societies that inhabited the region.
The Wari culture survived between the 7th and 13th centuries over territory that is present-day Peru, but by 1100 AD the Wari were conquered by the rising Inca empire.
The discovery was made by the Project of Archaeological Investigation (PIA) Terlen-La Bomba and it occupies about 24 hectares (60 acres).
The Ministry of Culture indicated that the main objective of the research is to understand the socio-political system of the Cajamarca culture during the Middle Horizon (900 to 1000 years AD) and its relationship with the Wari culture.

The silicone-made bust portrays a young woman with pronounced cheekbones, black eyes and tanned skin. Produced by a team of Polish and Peruvian scientists who worked with a Swedish sculptor specializing in facial reconstructions, it was presented in a ceremony at the Andean Sanctuaries Museum of the Catholic University of Santa Maria in Arequipa. "I thought I'd never know what her face looked like when she was alive," said Johan Reinhard, the U.S. anthropologist who found the mummy known as "Juanita" and the "Inca Ice Maiden." Reinhard discovered the mummy in 1995 at an altitude of more than 6,000 meters (19,685 feet) on the snow-capped Ampato volcano. "Now 28 years later, this has become a reality thanks to Oscar Nilsson's reconstruction," he said.

Please explain the beam riding blade aliens from Peru. All that is coming up is the Peruvian alien mummy.
last year a load of reports came in that said aliens were attacking remote communities in Peru, flying around on beams of light, and slashing people with blades. They were supposedly seven foot tall and bulletproof, with some outlets reporting that they sought to tear off or even eat human faces. They were known as ‘Pelacaras’, and the official explanation was that they were illegal miners with jetpacks.

So apparently Swedish and Polish facial reconstructionists decided to try to recreate the famous Incan "Ice Maiden" mummy dubbed "Juanita".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Truthfully, I feel like these European reconstructionists ( do not know how to re-create Andean facial features and the results ended up... terribly uncanny. So down below, with the use of photoshop, I edited the bust with more Andean Indigenous Peruvian facial features to honor the "Ice Maiden".
My version:
Tumblr media
I made her brows straighter and longer, got rid of the cleft chin, gave her a down-turned mouth, broader lips (not small), I made her lips a little larger too and I made her nose longer/bigger and wider around the nasal Ala. I also broadened her nostrils a tad
and I made her under-eyes more puffy
I widened her bone structure
I emphasized her sideburns
My version (on top):
Tumblr media
original (white euros created) below:
Tumblr media
I hope that in the future, more Andean/Indigenous Peruvian facial reconstructionists have opportunities to work on revealing the faces of their kin and ancestors. We needed more andean people involved in her reconstruction.
Let me know what you think of my edits down below too!
I hope you enjoy them!

Mysterious mummy found in tomb in Peru with hands covering its face .
In 2021 , A mummy, fully bound in ropes and with its hands covering its face, has been discovered in an underground tomb in Peru.
Archaeologists from the National University of San Marcos found the mummy in good condition in Cajamarquilla, a significant site 15.5 miles inland from the coastal city and capital Lima, Peru.
The mummy is estimated to be between 800 and 1200 years old.
Although the mummy’s striking pose – bound by ropes and in the foetal position – appears chilling at first sight, researchers believe it is a southern Peruvian funeral custom.
The tomb also contained ceramics, vegetable remains and stone tools.

SpaceTime -- A brief history
SpaceTime is Australia’s most popular and respected astronomy and space science news program – averaging over two million downloads every year. We’re also number five in the United States.  The show reports on the latest stories and discoveries making news in astronomy, space flight, and science.  SpaceTime features weekly interviews with leading Australian scientists about their research.  The show began life in 1995 as ‘StarStuff’ on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) NewsRadio network.  Award winning investigative reporter Stuart Gary created the program during more than fifteen years as NewsRadio’s evening anchor and Science Editor.  Gary’s always loved science. He studied astronomy at university and was invited to undertake a PHD in astrophysics, but instead focused on his career in journalism and radio broadcasting. He worked as an announcer and music DJ in commercial radio, before becoming a journalist and eventually joining ABC News and Current Affairs. Later, Gary became part of the team that set up ABC NewsRadio and was one of its first presenters. When asked to put his science background to use, Gary developed StarStuff which he wrote, produced and hosted, consistently achieving 9 per cent of the national Australian radio audience based on the ABC’s Nielsen ratings survey figures for the five major Australian metro markets: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.  The StarStuff podcast was published on line by ABC Science -- achieving over 1.3 million downloads annually.  However, after some 20 years, the show finally wrapped up in December 2015 following ABC funding cuts, and a redirection of available finances to increase sports and horse racing coverage.  Rather than continue with the ABC, Gary resigned so that he could keep the show going independently.  StarStuff was rebranded as “SpaceTime”, with the first episode being broadcast in February 2016.  Over the years, SpaceTime has grown, more than doubling its former ABC audience numbers and expanding to include new segments such as the Science Report -- which provides a wrap of general science news, weekly skeptical science features, special reports looking at the latest computer and technology news, and Skywatch – which provides a monthly guide to the night skies. The show is published three times weekly (every Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and available from the United States National Science Foundation on Science Zone Radio, and through both i-heart Radio and Tune-In Radio.

Day 71: THE TRAILER THE TRAILER THE TRAILER!!!
I had a feeling we would be getting the trailer in this week or in the next one, so I'm very excited.
Now, before anything I will tell you that normally I would analyse the whole trailer. I will do it... but not now. I had many thoughts I want to share and discuss/talk with others, so I will use the following days to talk about the scenes.
For this day, THIS is the thing that surprises me the most:
Tumblr media
Mummy knows how to use a cellphone
Very well
TOO WELL FOR HIS OWN GOOD
Tumblr media
THIS IS RAMIREZ' HAND. SHE IS SEEING HIM BROADCASTING FROM THE MUSEUM. MOMIA ERES UN-!
*Clears throat* Excuse me, what I'm trying to say as calm as possible is...
Mummy is a tiktoker/influencer!? His user name is mummy_54. Don't know if the number has a meaning or not.
Tumblr media
I don't know if he is trying to hide in the obvious aspect of showing himself to the world as just one user more or if at some off-screen moment he said "screw the whole hiding aspect, I have my own social needs" after being kicked out from his hometomb two times.
Maybe he believes that no matter what happens, the humans would never reach or found Paititi.
He really is one social fella leaning (or full into) the chaotic good territory, and what better way of interacting with others than the internet and media?
Tumblr media
As much as you will find this so unlikely to believe... he is TOTALLY a peruvian.
Like, an egyptian mummy sucks souls, goes as quiet as possible and gathers human followers for their evil plan. And if you told me that a peruvian mummy would just want to have fun and followers ON A SOCIAL MEDIA... I will totally believe you (and follow him btw)
You don't know how many unbelievable and crazy things we have done and still do in Youtube and TikTok. Just look the peruvian fans on soccer (la hinchada peruana) in the latter and "El niño y el pollo 2" and "Mi bebito fiu fiu" on the former. It's just a glorious, chaotic, funny madness and one of the reasons I really love my country and its people.
Tumblr media
We are a red & white box of crazy surprises... and so is Mummy. I just hope Tad doesn't get angry at him because I'm 99% he gave him the cellphone. Things really got out of hand.
Tumblr media
Other than that I like his little mummy cellphone protector. It's cute.

A 6500-year-old child.
Un niño de 6500 años de edad
Un bambino di 6500 anni di età.
Tumblr media
(English / Español / Italiano)
The mummy of a 6,500-year-old Peruvian boy was on display at the Ethnographic Museum in the town of Witzenhausen, Germany, which received the mummy in 1987 from a private donation and into whose hands it probably came as a result of "huaqueo" (grave robbing). The mummy had developed a type of mould that threatened to destroy it and was given to the Lippisches Landesmuseum in Detmold, Germany, where it was restored and is still preserved. Hence the name of Child of Detmold.
When she underwent a CT scan it was also discovered by dental examination that the baby had died when she was between 8 and 10 months old and suffered from a rare and serious heart condition: hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HHLS) in which the left side of the heart does not develop normally. He had vitamin D deficiency and an abnormally conical skull, not formed artificially, but as a result of an oxycephaly or premature closure of the coronal suture. Death possibly resulted from a collapsed lung due to tuberculosis or pneumonia and heart syndrome. The mummy of the Detmold boy was subjected to radiocarbon dating and gave an astonishing result. It was dated much earlier than experts had assumed. The Detmold boy lived and died between 4505 and 4457 BC, making him one of the oldest mummies in the world, if not the oldest. It exceeds that of Ötzi by more than 1000 years and is twice the age of Tutankhamun.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it genuinely makes me so upset to think about the peruvian alien mummies scam it brings me to tears. can you imagine dying and your corpse being defaced and violated for the fraudulent purpose of erasing your culture of origin. can you imagine parts of your body being cut off and mutilated and painted over so you resemble an "alien" that hack jobs will say built your entire civilization. all of the ancient aliens mythos is bullshit and conspiratorial and 99% of the time virulently racist but the mutilated peruvian mummies genuinely make me want to cry.
