Setelah review skincare aku juga mau review pulpen! Hm, alasannya sih karena aku orang yang suka menulis ketika belajar. Jadi pulpen merupakan salah satu hal utama dalam kenyamanan menulis!

Pernah tidak sih kamu merasa kayak jadi males nulis karena pulpen tidak nyaman?

Kalau aku pernah banget! Apalagi kalau pinjam pulpen teman, karena setelah aku amati, tipe pulpen setiap orang beda. Misalnya aku pinjam pulpen ke temanku yang suka tipe pulpen yang bold, ujungnya bukan yang runcing, nah kadang aku merasa tidak nyaman menulis. Karena aku cenderung suka pulpen yang ujungnya runcing.

Eits! Tapi ini bukan salah temanku ya, tentu saja karena ini preferensi pulpennya berbeda.

Bahkan menurutku pulpen yang tidak sesuai dengan aku ini menyebabkan tulisannya tidak rapi dan berantakan. Kalau sudah seperti itu aku rasanya gemas sekali, dan menyesal karena tidak membawa pulpen 😭.

Tipe pulpenku ini agak simpel tapi sedikit rumit, karena tidak mudah dicari (menurutku) :

☆ Runcing (0.5 atau 0.38) ☆ Bukan pulpen gel (karena resiko bleber/ke gesek dan akhirnya tintanya kesebar lebih tinggi) ☆ Tidak tidak mudah macet (huhuhu kadang udah cocok tapi suka macet tintanya)

A pen review: the Kuretake Zig Clean Color is one I have worked with in the past, but as it came in the bundle of brush pens I was happy to see it and review it. A nylon bristle brush pen with water-soluble ink that can be used as a watercolor (I have a bunch of colored versions). A lovely thing to work with, it’s a disposable but very versatile line-art tool. So this is a review for the Amazon Basics Pen set, Above is an illustration done with all the colors and some comparisons of them Vs my currently reigning favorite, the Staedtler ball point set. What makes a good sketching pen? Consistency, is key to a pen being good for sketching, it needs to be able to go from light to dark easily, and not blot (or at least rarely do it). Blotting is when the pen just suddenly leave a big ol' spot in the middle of your super cool sketch. Feeling of the pen and if it's slippery, colors that the pen comes in, and price.  Amazon Basics Colors 💜💜💜💜💜/5 Comes in a full set, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Sky blue, Brown, Pink, Violet Consistency- Amazon basics are relatively consistent Blotting 💜💜/5 Different colors seem to blot at slightly different levels. It blots more than my favorite pens but not so much more that I couldn't sketch with them. Rough/Smooth- Definitely smooth, Almost too smooth? It's a little slippery feeling. That might also be why they blot so much, the ink is a little too fluid for my purposes. Lightest Value 💜💜💜/5 These are a bit dark even at their lightest, which is made worse by the fact that these pens are slippery Price 💜💜💜💜/5 The price is 12.81, and gets you two of each pen, which is reasonable although it's more than, the Staedtler pens that are pens are only 6.09 on Amazon, even accounting for the 2 of each color. Now featuring @monami_official Plus Pens. I bought this at SM Stationery last year because this fine liner pens can actually achieve thick and thin lines like any other brush pens for calligraphy. What I love with these pens is aside for its wide array of colors, it is not too juicy -- perfect for my planner last year. . . . It's handy too! I often bring this to office or wherever I go to do my weekly plans and whatnot . . . REVIEW TIME, it’s been a while folks!

This is a fresh haul of something classic, something good and something new. I have some work to do this month, so I decided to splurge a bit on some writing/drawing instruments.

• Pilot SignPen; one of my favourites, it’s so consistent and very pigmented. Very good for lines, especially if some coverage is needed.

• Pentel SignPen - Touch; also one of my faves. I picked a new colour, kinda liked it. The brush of it is just perfect firmness/softness for me, I can freestyle all I like with it, and I love to do line-work with it ‘cos I can play with pressure constantly. I need to buy colour set one day! Somebody sponsor me plz!

• Last one - Sakura Pigma FB; I picked it up ‘cos they were out of black pentels, so I asked for the good alternative, they offered me this. I have yet to try it properly. But so far - It has a nice firmness to it, but it traces brush bristles, which is not my favourite thing, but we’ll see.

Time for another pen review. This is a Kuretake pk2-10s and is has a firm felt brush tip. It does a fine job with varying line weight, and although I generally don’t like felt brush tips, this one was not bad. It does require a fair amount of pressure for a thicker line. The Pilot Frixon Ball Clicker 07 Erasasable pen is a Japanese made pen with turquoise ink. It is not, I repeat is not eraseable. When you try to eRase it with the eraser that is included on the pen it just rips up the paper. At least the cheap recycled American paper that I write my first drafts on. There’s just something tactile about writing your first draft of a paper with paper and pen, isn’t there? This pen has some downsides too. Like.... she didn’t even last a whole semester! Like come one Pilot! I know it’s tough out here for a pimp but come on I expect more from a real life Japanese pen company.

New faux macro lens for the cell phone camera... seems to do alright. Hopefully henceforth fountain pen nibs and ink spill sheens will look even better!
