Looking for penpals!
Hey there!
So, once again I'm trying this because last time I didn't get too lucky :( I'm looking for penpals! But not the usual kind, I want someone I can exchange pressed flowers with, maybe send teas to, or, who knows? Even seeds! You know, something very cottagecore-ish!
This also includes poems, writings, pictures or doodles, of course. I just want to prioritize the appreciation of nature and handmade stuff than buying it all on AliExpress 😅

A Penpal Search 🛸
Hello, letter writers! I've been penpalling for a few years now, and I've found myself in that quiet, gentle pause of an empty inbox, and I'm ready to find some new letter friends.
There is some info in our pinned post, but I'm more writing this ad on behalf of our whole system, so I'll give a quick snapshot of who we are!

Mentally ill (cPTSD, OCD, suspected BPD, undiagnosed DID)
Bodily 23yrs
Otherkin (spiritually and psychologically)
Collectively very spiritual, in many different ways
Currently live in both Canada and the US, so our mailing address will change on occasion
Some of our hobbies include: language learning (Japanese, ASL, toki pona, and more to come), journalling, many arts and crafts (crochet, kandi, painting, paper mache, etc.), writing, tabletop games, and alternative fashion and design
👒 If we sound like someone you might vibe with, here are some details about how we like to penpal!
Due to mental health, our reply rate will vary anywhere from a few days after we read your letter, to several months. However, you will always gets a reply from us eventually.
For the same reason as above, our letters will vary in how aesthetic they are, and in how many inclusions we add.
As for inclusions themselves, we love to send stickers and washi tape samples when we can, as well as tiny paintings we make, recipes we loved, polaroids, and any other random things we come up with! We like mixing it up when we can!
We prefer to start with emails until we get to know you. We are not comfortable giving our addresses to random strangers and we cannot afford a PO box in both of our countries. Snail mail is the end goal though!
Bonus points if you are also nonhuman in some way, or a system of some kind!
We are only comfortable penpalling with someone who is 18+.

hello! so ive never done this before and idk if this would really reach anyone, but i would love to have a penpal? but i kinda want to make it a rule that we wont ever direct message each other nor ever follow each others social media... i suppose what i want to do is: get to know someone purely from their handwritten words.
ahh unfortunately... dont expect anything cutely decorated from me if we're penpals. your letters will most likely only be a plain envelope. i think id be writing excessively in detail about my day/life and my thoughts/feelings about anything, and when i receive your letter, i hope to get a long letter about details from your life as well. so... if you would be open to something like that, please let me know hahaha
uhm! ig if you want to know what some of my interests are, you could scroll through my account? however, the point is that we dont know anything about each other and that everything we do learn about each other is purely through reading our handwritten letters. id prefer someone about my age (22) but any age is fine really. im currently in america, but id be happy to send letters internationally. altho do note that i can only write/read well in english and in little trad chinese.
