Stamp Seal with a Toadstool Base. Manufactured in the 2nd half of the 19th century, presumed Russian origin. Materials are vermeil (silver gilded with gold), enamel paint and shell. From the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire, Geneva, inventory number: 018080.

this one’s based off a french wax seal from the 1830s (toujours errante, jamais infidele) …and a miscommunication. the bird was supposed to be a swallow, but there was an autocorrect issue lmao. I still love it! sparrows are one of my favourite birds. and I chose a song sparrow specifically.
